"Maybe we can agree to disagree," Aoko said, continuing to step forward despite Bruce's protest, "We can spare just a little time to have some fun with those guys, can't we? 'Sides, who knows? Maybe they can help us piece together what's going around here, and how exactly this Bane guy took over the city in just a month. Might be related to how we all got here for all I know."

It might have been grasping at straws, but that was because straws were the only thing anyone could grasp at.

Bruce shook his head. "Bane right now has the home-field advantage and is holding all the cards. We can't get cocky now, not until we know everything that's going on." Ben had a good point with the police station but right now there wasn't any other options. "I suggested the GCPD because it's close. If trouble's there we adapt. I might just be a man with a lot of money but I wont let a madman like Bane take over this city that my family helped build."

"We are not helping anyone standing around here though. Come you said you know where the police station was, yes? Then take us there already."

"You really are royalty are you?" It was clear that Bruce wasn't someone that appreciated back talk. Or being told what to do.

"I'm not making demands...I'm making a request."

The talk about Bane being the cause of them being here was something that Bruce had to ponder though. "He is resourceful, I've heard from friends in the police force, but us being here...it seems beyond him."

Aquawoman on the other hand wasn't so sure about Bruce's assessment. "I would say that a man taking over a city in under a month is impressive for a simple man as well."

"I suppose so but-"

"I wasn't finished." She caught Bruce off mid sentence. "Right now it is best to assume that whatever happens inside city limits is the cause of Bane. If it's true or not we wont know that until we are standing face to face with him. Now drop the chatter and show us the way Mister Wayne."

Realizing it was pointless to argue Bruce nodded and had everyone follow him. It was however not really inconspicuous of them to all take the main street, but right now that was the only way to get all of them to their destination, the GCPD. As they walked the scope of the takeover was more and more evident. Banner's of a masked figure was hanging from the walls of buildings as well as otherwise chaos on the streets with flipped over police cars and overall anarchy that had happened.

Luckily there was no other people running in the streets, no doubt Bane had set up a curfew of some sort to get the citizens of Gotham under his heel. Soon enough though they heard something crashing. Up ahead they'd spot a gang of thugs smashing their way inside a pawn shop no doubt to get their hands on anything valuable inside.

Aquawoman was ready to leap into action but Batman stopped her. "We don't have time with heroics. We need to get out of the streets and far away from anyone who might be working for Bane." Aquawoman did not seem to like that answer and perhaps some other voices speaking up might persuade Wayne to reconsider.

Jotaro was silent, letting everyone else speak their mind about dealing with the thugs. Jotaro didn't feel like wasting time pummeling some petty thieves, unless they were actually hurting someone inside the store. Though, he seemed to double-take when Aoko and the rest expressed their eager desire to gang up on some thugs.

The man stepped forward after Soujirou, as a ghostly fist began to slowly pull itself from his body, clenching and shaking with anticipation.

At first, Harper would have jumped back on surprise when she was hugged, although she eventually sighed and smiled down at the android and hugged her back.

"Nah, don't mention it. Just me doin' my duty."

As the group traversed through the open street, they came across a group of thugs robbing a pawn shop. Harper merely rolled her eyes when the group decided to stop them, agreeing with Bruce on this one.

"You guys are wasting your time. Two-but gangsters like these rob small shops like these all the time. It's really not that big of a--"

BANG!

Harper would be interrupted mid sentence as gunshots could be heard, said shots having been fired from none other than Felix's pistol, who had to shot each of the thugs in their respective kneecaps.

"There. Problem solved. Now which one of you wants to handle the interrogation?"

And then suddenly the thugs were all shot at. Well, that wasn't really any different from what his original plan was, so he couldn't really complain.

Stepping out from the shadows and into the city streets proper, Trixie's confident canter slowed to an unsure trot to observe the utter disarray in effect all around her, and shivered. "This Gotham feels...all-too familiar," Trixie murmured, pulling her wizard's hat down further over her head, "Villains aren't limited to Equestria, it seems. Bane is the name of one such villain, you said?" she asked Bluebird, idly pulling a small golden medal free from her cloak and thinking upon it, "...Perhaps my stay here will be longer lived than I first thought,"

Trixie quickly switched gears as attention was given to a nearby robbery, though. Hearing everyone's eagerness to intervene, Trixie appeared delighted by the thought. "Count me in! I want to see for myself how humans handle lowly ruffians!"

The men that were shot...didn't seem to be hurt, despite the fact that they now had gaping holes in their legs. The thugs looked up and their faces twisted into a sick grin that was very out of place on a human body. Was was even more weirder was that they melted together into a white mess that looked vaguely human shaped.

The end result did not look friendly.

"Next time do not shoot something just because of an itchy trigger finger you dolt!" Aquawoman shouted at Felix before leaping at the creature in front of them.​

"What. The actual fuck. Is that thing?" Dante exclaimed slowly. This was a new discovery, even for him. Not even a Demon would compare to whatever that thing was. "Seriously. What is that thing? And those thugs are turning INTO those things? Why do I get the feeling Bane is not one of those simple Masterminds with simple thugs...? Sigh."

Dante sighed deeply before drawing his sword, Rebellion, and charged straight at the Slime, mouth, thing that spawned from the thugs, aiming to chop it into pieces. Only his sword was now stuck inside the creature, pinning him in place. "This is so disgusting... Hey, anyone, lend a hand? Instead of just you know, standing there?"

Was was even more weirder was that they melted together into a white mess that looked vaguely human shaped.

The end result did not look friendly.

"Next time do not shoot something just because of an itchy trigger finger you dolt!" Aquawoman shouted at Felix before leaping at the creature in front of them.​

Upon seeing the thugs transform like Shadows, Ann stood back. She transformed into Panther, and a figure appeared behind her. "LET'S DANCE, CARMEN!" She shouted as she drew her whip and submachine gun. She pointed to the monster that appeared. "MARAGI!" She shouted, hoping to use the fire spell on the monster.

"Umm...the Void doesn't sound like a very nice place...but thank you for the offer!" Of course, the Void was the least of SeeU's troubles, as Felix shot the thugs and they morphed into...that monstrosity.

Bruce sighed since it was clear that they were going to take matters into their own hands. "Don't kill anyone." Came his only response but he sounded very adamant about it.

"What. The actual fuck. Is that thing?" Dante exclaimed slowly. This was a new discovery, even for him. Not even a Demon would compare to whatever that thing was. "Seriously. What is that thing? And those thugs are turning INTO those things? Why do I get the feeling Bane is not one of those simple Masterminds with simple thugs...? Sigh."

Dante sighed deeply before drawing his sword, Rebellion, and charged straight at the Slime, mouth, thing that spawned from the thugs, aiming to chop it into pieces. Only his sword was now stuck inside the creature, pinning him in place. "This is so disgusting... Hey, anyone, lend a hand? Instead of just you know, standing there?"

@Everyone.

"I needed some fresh air after having to put up with you assholes for more than five minutes." Felix replied without looking at Dante, instead stepping towards the downed thugs.

Felix fell silent for a moment as he stopped and turned to Mad Dog, staring at him from behind his helmet silently for what felt like an eternity before finally speaking.

"Does it look like I give a shit?"

"Way to go Ranger Rick! You summoned Joker's long last twin brother!" Harper shouted before tugging out a pair of escrima sticks and rushing the monster from behind, trying to leap on its back and jab it in the neck!

Felix, on the other hand, simply stood by and watched, not feeling the least bit responsible for this.

❝ Oh... ❞ This yakuza already had his fill of weird creatures for today, but considering that he still had yet to fill his quota of fighting...

❝ HELL YEAH, I'M GONNA FIGHT THIS THING! ❞ Majima didn't even have the thought of rationally thinking on what the hell could possibly go wrong. He only ran towards the strange slimy creature, trying to close the distance along with circling around to try and get a good look of it's backside. Somewhat having the same idea as Harper, the Mad Dog pulled out a short sword he had hidden away in his jacket, unshealthing it and trying to get a stab at it's torso.

Before Aoko could respond to Soujirou, Felix's handiwork revealed the two men in the store to be a rather unsettling-looking monster, arguably moreso than Vel'Koz and Malzahar or whatever their names were, if only for that nice grin there. Still, he didn't seem all too friendly, and if he had any potential to be a danger to a lot of the group, then this just went from a 1 to a 5, at the very least, so Aoko figured she and others may as well act now before anyone got seriously hurt.

"That'll teach you to stick your sword in somewhere it doesn't belong! I didn't expect to show off what I can do so quickly, but consider this just a small teaser!" Aoko exclaimed at Dante, before taking a wide stance as though she were a martial artist. With a cocky smirk, she eyed the gruesome monster, before breaking into a sprint right at it! As she gathered momentum, Aoko proceeded to leap into the air, her legs pushing her several feet up, before her leg began to glow, radiating a fiery blue energy.

"Shall we play around some? I never was very good at molding clay, but let's hope by the time I'm done with you, you'll be much prettier than you are right now! HAAAAAAAAH!"

WHOOSH!

Aoko flew like a blur in the air, her radiated energy kick hoping to land right into the monster's face with that!

Any close range or blunt attacks on the creature the group would find passed harmlessly through it or they got stuck inside of it. The intense heat from Ann's fire spell however seemed to make it solidify and crack where it got hit.

"Coward." Aquawoman hissed under her breath towards Felix before leaping into action against the clay monster. With a stab of her trident the solidified spot was pierced creating a huge hole in the monsters stomach. "The monster reacts badly to heat! Anyone come to our aid to finish this beast!"
