Bruce sighed since it was clear that they were going to take matters into their own hands. "Don't kill anyone." Came his only response but he sounded very adamant about it.
"Anyone who takes a life senselessly will have to answer to me."
The men that were shot...didn't seem to be hurt, despite the fact that they now had gaping holes in their legs. The thugs looked up and their faces twisted into a sick grin that was very out of place on a human body. Was was even more weirder was that they melted together into a white mess that looked vaguely human shaped.
The end result did not look friendly.
"Next time do not shoot something just because of an itchy trigger finger you dolt!" Aquawoman shouted at Felix before leaping at the creature in front of them.

Jotaro didn't seem too fazed by the two thugs getting shot in their kneecaps, but it didn't matter because of what happened after. He grimaced at the appearance of the creature - a bubbling mess of white goop that took on some semblance of a human form, especially with that clown smile. What exactly this thing was didn't matter - what did matter in this moment is that it's dangerous.

Jotaro took the forward approach with Dante as opposed to Harper's sneak attack. He rushed forward, looking to get within at least 2 meters of the thing before pointing at it with a stone-cold grimace. He glowed with a violet light, heralding the emergence of Star Platinum from his torso. The stand kept up it's user's momentum, spinning forward and cocking back both of it's fists before unleashing a violent rush of platinum punches into the beast's amorphous body. Each punch was imbued with the same power that nearly broke Majima's chest - that is, striking with the speed of a bullet and the force of a pile bunker.

A final punch impacted with Clownface's 'knee', attempting to shatter it's bony interior and hopefully destabilize the creature's body. After which, Jotaro skirted back and threw up Star Platinum's fists, hoping to block Clownface's inevitable retaliatory attack. Star Platinum exceeds in all stats besides range, after all.

Malzahar chuckled sinisterly. It was time to show them the power of the Void!
"Come, vile creature, witness your demise!" Malzahar bellowed as a portal opened up behind him and several Voidlings jumped out of it. They began to swarm the abomination and tear at its flesh.

After learning of its weakness, he followed up by flying above everyone else and shooting a ray of searing Void energy at the target's head, which would also immobilize the beast if it was weak enough.

"Nice job, Carmen! Let's hit 'em again! AGILAO!" she shouted, hitting it with a more powerful fire spell.
Instead of finding anything to help in the fight SeeU spotted a man in a top hat tinkering with a safe further back in the shop. He seemed to be too transfixed on the work at hand to realize that a fight was going on right outside his doorstep.

Even a creature of clay had its limits. The ensuing onslaught of attacks from everyone caused the monster to topple over and melt into a puddle that slipped into a nearby storm drain. It was hard to say if it had perished or not, but at least it had been defeated.
Bruce had taken cover during the fight and would've now re-emerged. "I guess the jobs done..." He looked grimly at the scene not really happy with any of it.

"Woah!" Dante came tumbling down alongside the Slime and fell face first into the now slimy remains of the creature. Taking his sword from it's clutches and dusting himself off, he was now completely drudged in slime.
"This. Is. Disgusting. Yuck..." He tried pulling some slime off of him but instead ended up coating himself even more in it. "Oh come on. This is ridiculous..."

This new party had done just as well as The Phantom Thieves had done against an enemy after an all-out attack. Panther reverted back into her normal, school clothes. (which she thought was strange, because if this was the Metaverse, she would have remained in her Panther form.) "Shadow defeated!" she said happily.
The man responded back, with what SeeU assumed was some sort of British accent. "Yes, he is a real monster! Absolutely brainless! I feel like I was japed by ending up with him an- hold on." The man got up from tinkering with the safe and turned around.
"You're not Clownface! Little girl don't you know there's a curfew on right now?" SeeU could probably figure out that whoever this man was he was not the owner of this place.

Jotaro sneered, watching the being crumble to a formless goop after his onslaught. He'd spit his cigarette down the storm drain, and Star Platinum withdrew as quickly as it came. "What was that blue fire that formed around your foot?" Jotaro prompted Aoko, turning to her and arching an inquisitive brow.
She didn't seem to be a stand user, but that ability she had was something else.

A woman with a mask did not make the man feel at ease. "Y-You're one of the bats people aren't you!" He tried to pull a pistol from out of his coat but he was stopped by Aquawoman's trident that pinned his hand to the wall.
"It seems that Gotham in any reality is filled with questionable figures." Aquawoman responded.
Bruce had decided to enter the pawn shop and saw the pinned person to the wall. "This one's called Mister Combustible. He usually works for the Penguin."
"Bruce Wayne?!" Mr Combustible exclaimed in surprise. "The bloody hell is Gotham's billionaire playboy doing in the East End?!"

SeeU gasped. "You mean the evil penguin Harper was talkimg about? How could a little bird have a henchman like that?" She didn't seem to really care all that much about having almost been shot by a supervillain, as the idea of an evil penguin was too exciting to ignore.

"Hmm? Oh, that's a loaded question there," Aoko let out a small laugh in response to Jotaro, trying to think of a way to describe it, "Well... the easy answer is magecraft. I am a mage, after all. And a super strong one at that, not to toot my own horn or anything. Just wait until we run into more goons, and I'll show you why they call me Magic Gunner!" She said eagerly, contrasting well against Jotaro's less than lively personality, "But just as your powers seem to have your own rules to them, my powers have my own, and we don't have enough time to go through all the details about it, but let's just say energy manipulation is my specialty. And more than that."
Aoko kept vague about the deeper nature of her powers deliberately, whether because she didn't feel like it at the moment, or because she didn't want to, now proceeding to turn toward the gentleman approached by SeeU.
"Works for the Penguin, huh? You mean like that guy Miss Bluebird mentioned?" Aoko inquired, picking up her baggage again after she'd set it down earlier to fight, "Never mind what we're doing here. Tell us something... ah, Mister Combustible. Is Mister Penguin in cahoots with Mister Bane, 'cause we'd like to have a nice chit-chat with him if that's alright with you!"

"Now, how about ya start out by telling us what the hell your boss has been up to lately. I mean, surely a man as powerful as 'ole Cobblers has ties with Bane." Harper said, having since pulled out her plasma rifle, as if to threaten the thug with it.

"No one really wants to work for Bane, but he's got all the cards. Not to mention those huge monsters roaming the city...Gotham is his and his alone."
"Not if we have anything to say about it." Bruce wasn't very happy hearing what was being said right now. "Do you think the Penguin would meet with us?"
Combustible shrugged his shoulder. "I don't know! He doesn't show it but I know he's afraid about what Bane will do to anyone going up against them! He broke the Bat once, did you guys know that."
"I believe something similar happened in my universe."
"W-wait wait wait." He wasn't sure he was hearing right. "Another universe? That means...Bane wasn't lying...bloody hell..."
