Seeing that people were ready to go Bruce rose up from his chair. "Then we should not waste more time." He looked over to Penguin. "Mr Cobblepot, you have done Gotham City a great service today."

"Of course my boy! I'd do anything to help Gotham!" However as they were getting ready to leave the group felt like the lounge was shaking. "What the hell was th-" Penguin was cut short by a violent slam to the side of the Iceberg Lounge sending everything no nailed down flying. Glass shattered tables flew and the group hit the floor with a heavy thud.

Aquawoman was one of the first to get up. "An attack!" Clutching her trident she made her way towards the back of the floating casino and out on deck. Anyone who followed her spotted the cause of the crash.

A gigantic eel like creature broke through the water and stared at the Iceberg Lounge before submerging again, showing off it's electrified spikes on its back. It seemed that it was ready to ram the ship once again.

Aoko, following Aquawoman to investigate the strange phenomena, let out a sharp gasp in surprise as the eel-like monster made itself known, presumably out on an active quest to put everyone inside the Iceberg Lounge under deep water. The place was likely a poor arena for such a grand fight to occur, but Aoko had faced worse odds before, or so she liked to imagine. Stepping in front of everyone, a confident grin littered her features as she set down her baggage, without much more than a simple, primal thought. A thrill, a hope, for something exciting.

It had often been said that Aoko Aozaki was good at one and only one thing; destroying things. And right now, she was itching to make good on that.

"Alright, then! You want games?! I can play games! Are we gonna play Hide and Seek or Cowboys and Indians?! I can do both!" She exclaimed, as though a switch had been flipped that caused her personality to shift, do a 180 even. Stepping toward the edge, the redhead raised her arm for a brief moment, her veins glowing a bright teal as she readied her Magic Circuits. Then... her other arm began to glow, sharp lines of teal almost looking as though they infested her arm. Before long, however, like worms, the lines shifted positions, scurrying over from her arms to her legs, the glow bright and evident even over her jeans.

Process. Convert. Output.

Rinse. Repeat.

Fireworks. Grand displays. Fire. Concentrated fire. There is no phenomena here to grant my wish. So I will create one to pierce this reality. Fluid motion. Starmine. Starbow. Beautiful. Unlimited Rotation. Deploy. Focus. Focus. Focus. Focus. Drive it all home. Bring it all in. Like a water bottle already full, and then let it all out with the force of a fire extinguisher. That is the power granted. This is the power displayed. O Lord of Creation, here is the answer.

Snap. Draw.

Three thousand Celsius? Maybe a bit overkill. That would just be inconsiderate. Let's crank it down a notch. Wouldn't wanna scare JoJo. Or Mister Dante. Or Chuckling Chester. Poor little SeeU though. It was a little too late for her.

They weren't ready for her true power. And the situation didn't call for it. Not yet.

"One, two, three! Ready or not, here I GOOOOOOO!" Aoko exclaimed. Leaping several feet into the air, far higher than possible for any normal human, the redhead stuck her leg, a small glyph of energy forming at her heel before out came a massive beam of blue energy, heavily concentrated and powerful, piercing through the water like a hot knife through butter!

BOOM!

The air shook around her, and yet, this was only a warm-up for her.

"Because I actually care if everyone makes it out alive or not," Came Bruce's blunt response to Soujirou. "If we waltz up to the front gate with out any other plan then I guarantee we will get the brunt of Bane's forces on us. If you're Superman then that's great, but not all of us have that luxury. Some of us actually bleed."

It was at this point that the Penguins henchman came running in with a map of the Gotham sewer system and rolled it out on the table. "In my line of work...it's imperative to have all the knowledge you can," The Penguin squawked.

Bruce too was going to lull over the map before adding one final thing to Soujirou. "If you wish to go out there and face everything that Bane will throw at you alone then I wont stop you, but I hope you will come with us and stick to whatever plan we finally decide on."

Soujirou was silent for a moment. He might not have known who Superman was, but the combination of "super" and "man" was clear enough.

"I see. Well, there is no need to worry then, Mister Wayne. I will follow along with all of you. Though I should add, whether I believe we can demolish the giants or not, I do still bleed." He replied with an understanding smile. He may not have cared much for preserving his enemies' lives, but despite his reckless idea he didn't care to mindlessly get the group massacred if they couldn't handle the giants. "Ah, but I still cannot really say I much like the idea of moving through the sewers, though I have no better ideas..."

As he was pondering ideas besides simply attacking head-on, they were attacked by a gigantic eel.

"I am beginning to be of the mind that we will encounter some kind of giant no matter our course."

Soujirou unsheathed his blade once more. If on this strange adventure they wanted to keep their group alive, they couldn't allow for some stupid oversized eel to sink them where they stood.

"Taikyoku: Futsunushi, Futsunomitamanoken!"

Summoning the power of his craving, Soujirou imposed his own reality onto the world. He was a sword, and so he should cut. No matter what it is, if Soujirou Mibu decided to cut it, it would be cut. Even if the universe itself should have to shift so that his target would be cut, so be it. If a monster eel wanted to stand in their way, it would have to handle his blade first.

He slashed at the monster, but a sword slice at thin air should have been worthless. However, if his display upon entering the lounge showed anything, it was that things like common sense didn't apply to Soujirou.

If he embodied the concept of cutting, then with every swing of his sword something had to be cut. By cutting apart the concept of distance between him and his target itself, the notions of a target being out of reach or missing were completely out of the question. A single slash was made, and it sought to make the largest unagi sashimi the world had ever seen.

Aoko's and Dante's attacks connected sending water flying upwards high into the air. The attacks however did not seem to dent the creatures as it once again rammed the casino, but this time it sent Gnar, SCP-682 and its friend into the water. The monster emerged once again allowing Aquawoman to leap unto it and try to pierce its hide with her trident. In retaliation it shot an electric blast from its back fins towards her.

While she managed to block the blast sent Aquawoman flying into the water. It was at this point that Bruce came out to see the spectacle. "Is that one of the giants we saw earlier?!"

The monster was cut, but if it was hurt it was hard to say. Finding its target and much like with Aquawoman it fired an electric blast towards Soujirou in an attempt to hit him.

Jotaro, who'd been silently listening in on the plan, shook his head and began walking off towards the entrance of the lounge. He'd snatch a small piece of food on the way, opting to eat it in small, efficient bites. It seemed as nothing too annoying was going to happen anytime. . .

RUMBLE

Soon.

". . .!"

Jotaro was sent stumbling backwards by the colossi's attack, being forced to grab onto a nearby counter to avoid being knocked on his ass. After regaining his stance, he'd glance through one of the windows and spot a massive shadow lurking in the darkened waters of the harbor. It circled about the lounge like an eel preparing for another strike at it's prey.

<He found us.>

The delinquent rushed after Aquawoman, joining her on the outside deck and spotting the set of electrified spines resting upon the surface of the water, approaching the longue. Jotaro held his hat, now running through the thoughts in his head.

Ah-ha.

Jotaro's eyes lit up with some confidence. With no hesitation in his movement's, the crusader walked forward upon the deck, now climbing upon the railing to look over the edge and see the shadow of the colossi within the water, approaching the boat's hull like a submarine's torpedo. A ghostly aura began to emanate from his body before Star Platinum manifested, floating forward in front of Jotaro. He got as close as he could to edge without dropping into the water, and now reinforced his stance upon the railing. He dug his feet upon the metal and kept his hands in his pockets.

Well, no - he rose a single hand from his coat and shot it forward.

"STAR PLATINUM. . ."

". . .THE WORLD!"

The gem-like object embedded in Star Platinum's forehead shone with an intense light, as a sphere of inverted coloration would expand outward from Jotaro at the speed of light. This sphere of reality-warping energy engulfed the entire area, accompanied by a distorted whistling noise as the fourth dimension of this reality began to bend to the stand's ability - time. Cause and effect - halted in place. Like a video buffering on shitty internet.
All movements slowed, the colors of the world vanished into a muddled grey, and then they simply appeared. . .inverted. Like someone had just painted the scene differently. Wavy, white strings of unknown origin hung around the air n this new, strange world.

Soon enough, everything stopped. The water splashing forward froze in mid-air. Dante's rocket hung in front of the colossi's head, inanimate just as everything else.

Jotaro couldn't believe it, but he knew what had just happened.

"Time has stopped."

Jotaro didn't know exactly how he came up with the name. Memories of Cairo came back to him - the first moments where he (and DIO) discovered that he could stop time. Star Platinum and The World were the same type of stand, capable of the same ability. It could figure that The World itself was a title that DIO had 'took', much like anything else. The tarot of The World was now free from his name, and who else deserved such a powerful ability?

It was fate. Maybe Jotaro's ancestors were just smiling on him on that moment. . .much like now.

"Good grief. . .I've only got a couple seconds. . ."

Star Platinum shot forward towards the frozen colossi, cocking back both it's fists and. . .

Needless to say, they would do some damage. Pieces and shards of the colossi that the stand had torn off flew about slightly before slowing down and eventually stopping with time. It's massive head may have even been blown off course by the rush of punches. It didn't matter what it was made of.

If it's not stronger than diamonds, it's worth shit. Jotaro turned his back on the colossi and sighed.

"Here's my Feedback on the seafood menu!" Ben exclaims as he transfotmed once more into the gangly Feedback.

"Hey ugly! Why don't you give me some too?" Feedback taunts the eel as he redirected and absorbed the electricity that was aimed at Soujirou and Aquawoman via the tendrils on his head and tail. Feedback was draining electricity from the creature.

"You OK, Samurai boy? How about you, Aquawoman?"

Before he could listen to a response from either of them, he saw SCP-682 & Sandra fall into the water.

"682! Sandra! No!" Feedback exclaims, then turns to the eel.

"Oh, now you've gone and done it! I had a taste of you, now it's time for you to have a taste of me!"

The moment the eel would emerge from the water, Feedback would return the energy in the form of a photon ray, directed at the eel's face!

"Oh right, they're not dead yet! I can still save 'em!" Feedback exclaims as he jumps into the water to save SCP-682 & Sandra, as well as Gnar in the process. A hunch told him that he would be unsuccessful, but it was important to have hope. If he reached them, he would touch their (supposedly dead) bodies.

"Most likely, Mister Wayne! So I'd suggest you step back and take cover! I can't promise it'll end well!" Aoko responded to the millionaire, clicking her tongue lightly upon seeing that her individual attack had little effect by itself. Still, if at first you didn't succeed, try and try again. She charged her Magic Crest once again for another devastating blast of magical energy, but before she could, something rather peculiar happened. And perhaps only Aoko was able to comprehend it.

"Time has stopped."

The voice echoed through the empty air, but it seemed as though only Aoko could hear it. Like a bell that rung over deaf ears. But she heard it. And she could feel the distortion in the air as well. It was a familiar feeling, and yet, not so. This phenomena did not originate from magecraft, but rather, something different. Some force that not even she could put into words.

Within Jotaro's frozen time, Aoko stood still (her ability to continue thinking and moving within it almost seemed to make little difference in this regard), practically watching Jotaro make use of the ace he'd been hiding up his sleeve all this time, letting out a whistle that might have gone unnoticed underneath the barrage of punches Jotaro's... fighting spirit there let out, placing her hands on her hips as she watched. More than likely, even if she could move in this frozen time, could she have done anything? After all, Starmine & Starbow were in a different domain from the Fifth Magic, so they could not apply to its rules. Her magical beams would have been stuck in place, likely to be destined to disperse as soon as it were let out, a phenomena that happened when it shouldn't have happened.

One short moment before time resumed, Aoko looked right at Jotaro as he made his demand upon reality, azure eyes piercing through the frozen time as she let out a breath.

"Nice moves. Though be more considerate when casually handling time like that. It's not yours alone to play with. Not that I'm one to talk, I suppose..."

And that was when time resumed.

While she managed to block the blast sent Aquawoman flying into the water. It was at this point that Bruce came out to see the spectacle. "Is that one of the giants we saw earlier?!"



The monster was cut, but if it was hurt it was hard to say. Finding its target and much like with Aquawoman it fired an electric blast towards Soujirou in an attempt to hit him.

Bishamon hasn't bothered to touch the food Penguin had laid out for them, simply because she wasn't hungry.

Though once the lounge was attacked she prepared to help end the creature-but paused upon hearing a thump. Looking down to her left she saw SeeU's unconscious form and moved her so she'd be safely out of harms way.

"Come, Saiki." she called, her great sword appearing into her hand in a flash of Kanji and a breif light. With ease, she'd jump into the air and charged for her attack against the giant eel.

"This is the Land of the Rising Sun. Your desecration shall not be allowed! Hear me! I am the god Bishamon! I now lay thee waste with the Saiki, and expel thy vast defilement! I cleanse thee! Ruin!" she exclaimed, intending to cut deep into the beast and weaken it, and maybe even cut it's eyes if successful. Once she was finished, she would land in front of SeeU, intent on keeping her unconscious form behind her just in case.

Corey was uncomfortable with the thing ramming the boat and he watched Gnar slid down. He wasn't a stronger swimmer. Before Mason could fall into the water, Corey grabbed him and made them invisible. He needed time to think of a plan, but for now, hiding would help.

"While your body seems small and useless to the fight, that does not mean that you are not a boon to the cause," She started. "Even if you decided to go back to the police station, would you survive the journey? Do you even remember the way? Right now you are safest among us. And we would be no doubt weaker with you not among us." She gave him a coy little smile. "Perhaps some food might make you see reason in the matter?"



"My suggestion would have us go...uh...bellow conventional routes."

Penguin realizing what Bruce was suggesting let out another signature laugh. "Bruce Wayne going through the sewers like some usual gutter trash?! The mental image alone is enough to make me laugh!"

"Quite..." Came Bruce's court response before he continued. "Despite being out on an island it obviously is connected to the sewer system of Gotham. We just need to find the exact map so that we don't get lost."

It was at this point that the Penguins henchman came running in with a map of the Gotham sewer system and rolled it out on the table. "In my line of work...it's imperative to have all the knowledge you can," The Penguin squawked.

Bruce too was going to lull over the map before adding one final thing to Soujirou. "If you wish to go out there and face everything that Bane will throw at you alone then I wont stop you, but I hope you will come with us and stick to whatever plan we finally decide on."

Here Harper found cells lined up on either side seemingly stretching on forever. After putting her in one of them Roulette smirked and gave Harper one final look. "Better stay in shape. Fight's going to start in about 20 minutes. Win and we might see about getting you fed tonight." With that she and her henchmen left leaving Harper seemingly alone.

Seeing that people were ready to go Bruce rose up from his chair. "Then we should not waste more time." He looked over to Penguin. "Mr Cobblepot, you have done Gotham City a great service today."

"Of course my boy! I'd do anything to help Gotham!" However as they were getting ready to leave the group felt like the lounge was shaking. "What the hell was th-" Penguin was cut short by a violent slam to the side of the Iceberg Lounge sending everything no nailed down flying. Glass shattered tables flew and the group hit the floor with a heavy thud.

Aquawoman was one of the first to get up. "An attack!" Clutching her trident she made her way towards the back of the floating casino and out on deck. Anyone who followed her spotted the cause of the crash.

A gigantic eel like creature broke through the water and stared at the Iceberg Lounge before submerging again, showing off it's electrified spikes on its back. It seemed that it was ready to ram the ship once again.​

As the discussion narrowed down on traversing the servers to infiltrate Blackgate, Terry was momentarily distracted by Ben's comment about an upgrade to his suit, cocking a brow.

"... Upgrades?" Terry asked.

The batsuit was top of the line Wayne-Powers technology, so he was seriusly curious what Ben had in mind when he mentioned that. Unfortunately, he didn't get enough time to find his answer, as just when they were preparing to leave, something began ramming itself against the lounge. Rushing outside not far after Aquagirl, what he saw was quite a sight; a ginormous sea creature... Obviously one of Bane's collosi was attacking the Lounge!

"What the..." He said, quickly preparing for a fight.

However, before Terry could even make a move, it would seem the rest of the group attempted to lay waste to the creature, to no avail; it looked like it had taken some damage from its assailants, but yet... It still stayed its course, seemingly unphased by its injuries... How bizarre.

Evidently, the situation required a more tactical approach, and since he couldn't exactly radio (old) Bruce here, he had to think of something... And eventually, an idea formed in his head, albeit a rather crude and unreliable one.

So quietly, he slid a batarang out of the "sleeve" of his suit, gripping it with one hand.

Then, he tried to use his suit's optical scanner to analyze the creature, with the aim of finding a weak spot or something he could take advantage of... And considering that the batarang he was holding was packed with explosives, he might just be able to deal enough damage to the creature to at least persuade it to retreat.​

"Hey ugly! Why don't you give me some too?" Feedback taunts the eel as he redirected and absorbed the electricity that was aimed at Soujirou and Aquawoman via the tendrils on his head and tail. Feedback was draining electricity from the creature.

"You OK, Samurai boy? How about you, Aquawoman?"

Before he could listen to a response from either of them, he saw SCP-682 & Sandra fall into the water.

"682! Sandra! No!" Feedback exclaims, then turns to the eel.

"Oh, now you've gone and done it! I had a taste of you, now it's time for you to have a taste of me!"

The moment the eel would emerge from the water, Feedback would return the energy in the form of a photon ray, directed at the eel's face!

"Oh right, they're not dead yet! I can still save 'em!" Feedback exclaims as he jumps into the water to save SCP-682 & Sandra, as well as Gnar in the process. A hunch told him that he would be unsuccessful, but it was important to have hope. If he reached them, he would touch their (supposedly dead) bodies.

"I am unharmed, thanks to...who or what the hell are you?" Soujirou was rather surprised by Ben's current appearance, having not familiarized himself with the boy all too well. "Ah well, an ally is an ally after all."

As Bishamon formed her great sword and rushed forward, Soujirou laughed aloud to himself.

"Alright, perhaps it would be proper for me to follow suit, then."

Though his long range cut hadn't inflicted any obvious meaningful damage, that hardly mattered. What mattered was that the creature could be cut. All he needed to do was keep on cutting it until it fell apart, just like anything else. But purely staying away from his enemy and cutting at them from a distance just wouldn't do. If that blonde woman was going to run into its range, then Soujirou was going to get in there himself as well.

With a hard kick onto the floor of the lounge, his body flew forward with his sword in hand. Flying towards the creature like a phantom, he stuck his blade into the beast's neck. The swordsman attempted to drag his blade through the creature's neck like a knife through paper to cleave its head right off.

The scan came back inconclusive, the creature seemed to have been formed of an unknown inorganic matter combined with organic matter. If there were any weak spots then his scanners could not pinpoint said locations.

The swords damage was like a paper cut to the giant. In retaliation is sent forth another bolt of electricity towards anyone close enough. It seemed like any damage they were causing was minimal at best.
