Dispensations (god-like fantasy)

So question. When you say 8 characters, do you mean 8 player gods or 8 player gods and mortals at a time? Or does that mean something else entirely?

@ChelonianCommander : 8 Player gods, between us all, with mortals not counting. But honestly, since you bring it up, I was considering raising it to 12, with an per-player cap at 2. That way we all get a chance to make more then one character but it's still a fine challenge.

I decided to make a character. This one will be a slime-themed god that makes slime-themed orcs and marshlands. And slimes.

Name: K'nuuk Bogfellow
Domain: Stubbornness, Unrelenting Resolve, Slimes and Marshlands
Appearance:
c25c9085adb6a9e05c900f6adc6aa4da.jpg

K'nuuk appears to be humanoid in shape, albeit only vaguely. His form is entirely swamp muck and moss, and his blood, like the blood of the creatures he makes, is acidic slime ooze.
Motivations: Survival. K'nuuk longs to see immortality in things other than him in a mortal world. He hates death and change, and wishes to replace them with stagnation and overgrowth.
Strengths/powers: Unbreakable stubbornness; giving in or failing is reprehensible to K'nuuk. everything that comes from him, likewise, shares that sense of nigh-irrational stubbornness. Slime is a natural by-product of his actions; For every miracle he performs, monstrous slimes and oozes appear as his heralds. Corrosion and acid are prime natural weapons for him and his creatures, and most diseases are often carried by them, so they have little danger of catching it themselves. His beliefs are applicable to most cultures, he only requires that whatever one ascribes to him they don't back down from it, no matter the cost of believing it.
Weaknesses/flaws: K'nuuk is incapable of seeing his own flaws. This self-delusion makes him hard to honestly debate or negotiate with. He is stubborn to the point that if he believes in making a stand somewhere, it takes great loss, pain and tragedy to get him to even 'tactically retreat'. This means being his servant is a very short and painful lifestyle, for he expects the same from his priests and worshippers. Finally, unity is meaningless to him: his own mortals will commonly war with each other despite recognizing they worship the same religion, only because of a difference in their cultures.

Name: Umut
Domain: hope and good fortune

Appearance: (Full Strength/True Form-Left)(Human/Mortal seeming form - Right)
Motivations: Protecting the weak and helpless people of any world, with his life and until his last breath. Keeping the people who he loves and watches over free from tyranny, hardship, and oppression.
Strengths/powers: he’s an exceptional speaker, using his inborn power that makes him capable of galvanizing his worshippers and other gods, young of old to quickly join his cause and inspiring hope in their hearts in times of fear and of little hope. While he prefers not to fight he excels at both hand to hand and most old world weapons, making him fairly formidable in wartimes.
Weaknesses/flaws: while he can inspire hope in people there has to be some sort of spark the exists in them already as well as the ability for more powerful beings to ignore his speech, rendering it ineffective. His blessings of good fortune or luck can only affect the blessed luck minorly and only last for a short time unless he holds the energy in place for long amounts of time. He himself loses power although minuscule amounts for every follower and human that loses hope in any aspect of their life

Not bad, day. And as a matter of fact, there are some things you could consider for improvement; your strengths read like he is a human, but most of our character probably shouldn't be quite that involved. For instance: is he a god in the sense that he has worshipers? If so, why does he need to talk them into things? Or is he charismatic to other gods? that's not exactly clear. If he deviates from that model you may want to factor this into the sheet and his domain. Other then that it's clear and should work well.

I look forward to seeing him in action! Not important to the sheet, but since you @Day and @Green Door were never apart of Ages Eternal, and while this will be quite different from AE, it can't hurt to think about what your character wants to accomplish personally during the RP. Like... Are you going to make races? Countries? or affect some change in the world? I don't know if we will continue this world or not afterwards, but we will if everyone wants to, so bear in mind this RP will add a lot of lore to the setting.

thanks for the news Lazz, i'll make changes accordingly and keep in mind what you've said :)

Huh, I guess someone was listening on chat! Thank you very much Azathoth, can't wait to see what you come up with.

Name: Sin, Lord Death
Domain: Death and Darkness
Appearance:(Human-Like Form)

Motivations:To make sure the laws of death are not broken and to ensure that those who are to die, die when they are supposed to. Killing those that have wrongfully extended their life, and saving those whose deaths have come to soon, be it from direct intervention of otherwise.
Strengths/powers: Sin can control and manipulate shadows and darkness to fit his needs. He can travel through them, make them into solid objects be it weapons, spikes, platforms, etc. He can also shroud an area in darkness obscuring all vision except his own. He can also control creatures of the dark, making them submit to his will and over his commands. Sin has the innate ability to see when and how one will die, the only exceptions being immortals and then like. His touch is capable of killing mortals instantly.
Weaknesses/flaws: Sin is neither good not evil, only seeking to keep the balance between life and death the way it supposed to be. Because of this he is not one to save a life if they have reached their time of death, nor will he let someone die before their time. Can be prone to fits of madness, from time trapped in another realm, and during an episode he may lash out and attack any around him.

I have another character to post, before we get started. This will be my second, so I'm at my max.

Name: Azmira, Mistress of Secrecy
Domain: Secrets, Forgotten knowledge and the Unknowable
Appearance:
harpy_by_isthar_art-d31c1nz.jpg

Azmira appears frequently as a beautiful woman with bestial avian features such as wings and talons, she refers to this form as 'Knowledge'; but this is only one of two possible forms. The other form, called 'Secrets', is of a flock of perching birds, indistinguishable from other such flocks.
Motivations: She knows an eldritch secret, and wishes to keep it from spreading. Once, Azmira was a goddess of knowledge. She has revoked all ties to the domain since her great 'discovery' and has dedicated all that she is to the keeping of her secret. She views technological advancement as dangerous, for the sciences are, somehow, what brought her to the secret she keeps.
Strengths/powers: She has grown adept at keeping secrets. Stoic and non-specific in conversation when nescessary, and even charismatic and bubbly when she needs to be, she can and will take on any guise to keep mortals from suffering from the outer-knowledge only she keeps.
Weaknesses/flaws: Eldritch Arcana is dangerous, and no concepts exist of it in the natural world. Where azmira learned it is unknown... But one thing is certain to those who know she has a secret; It is slowly eating at her mind. Normally a god is powerful enough to handle this sort knowledge, but Azmira is young yet. She can survive to keep the secret forever albeit tormented by it, but only if the unknowable doesn't claim her sanity first.

Name: Viridecil
Domain:
Agriculture, Reptiles, Seasons
Appearance: Viridecil is a young human looking women with obviously non-human traits. Her skin is pale as faded leaves and is covered by reptilian scale made of bark. Her long waist length hair has the appearance of being made of fine and green feathers but is in fact made of thin fern like plants that grow berries and seeds of many types and her blood is in fact golden in color as it is cold amber which flows like water but when it is exposed to the open air, it hardens until it is hard as stone.
Motivations: Viridecil is a kind goddess. She feels sorrow for the hardships of lesser beings and wishes to help them help themselves, by giving mortals tools necessary to survive on their own. This isn't fully out of the kindness of her heart however, as she needs protection from gods or mortals who may wish to slay her.
Strengths/powers:
-Viridecil has the ability to create plants and animals from her own body. Her scales can be planted into the earth and from them will grow eggs that can hatch into many different reptilian creatures and her hair can be cut and the seeds harvested to be planted into the earth to grow many different type of edible fruits and vegetables. Her blood can be harvested once a week in, ground down into a fine powder then mixed with dirt to create extremely fertile soil.
-Viridecil has control over anything that is grown from her body, such as all animals grown from the bark scales and all plants grown from the berries harvested from her hair. These animals are not dependent on her however, as they are capable of multiplying. Though their decedents will not be as strong as the first generation.
-Viridecil has the ability to sense every and any entity that enters her realm, marked by special moving trees that forms a natural wall around her realm. gain divine energy from offerings to her before she slumbers.
-Viridecil gains power from sacrifice of the harvest. The more she is sacrificed the more powerful she will become in the summer. If not enough is given then she will be during the summer and the more power she will retain during the fall.
Weaknesses/flaws:
-Viridecil is physically weak, being only as strong as the average human. In fact she may be the most human like god as she needs to sleep and eat like humans, though not as often.
-Viridecil believes that her followers, and mortals in general, should be self-sufficient and will rarely actually help her followers, believing that it would make them too dependent on her. Instead she will only help her followers if she is given a sacrifice of food with more bark scales, amber blood, and hair seeds given in return depending on the size and quality of the sacrifice.
-Viridecil's powers will go up and down depending on the season. During the spring, she is only at 50% strength and must regain her energy by eating throughout the season. During the summer she is at 100% strength and is able to move freely from her territory as well as replant and regrow the trees that mark the edges of her territory. During the fall she begins to tired and her powers wane, leaving her at only 25% of her power. During the winter, she must slumber and it is during that time she is at her most vulnerable, have 0% of her power.

Name: Kos
Domain: Creativity, Iron, Earth
Appearance: An enormous, vaguely-humanoid creature made entirely out of metal plates and strange, gear-less mechanisms. Can shrink or grow from the size of a building to around eight feet tall. However, being a machine, Kos can remake himself into just about any form he wishes.
Motivations: Wishes to remake the world in his image, by any means possible.
Strengths/powers: Kos can draw metal from the earth itself, then process and shape it at blinding speed. As his body grows, Kos takes on more and more dimensions. In his default form, Kos is intelligent, but not incredibly emotional.
Weaknesses/flaws: Kos is not spiritually ambivalent. He simply is himself, nearly mortal. However, his essence is bound to metal, and so until every single piece of his body is destroyed, Kos cannot die.
As a person, Kos can be overly controlling, and somewhat aggressive. He is single-minded to a fault, no matter how much personality he gains from more complex forms.

Reactions: Day
Name: King. (Real name is an amalgamation of animal noises that is incomprehensible to mortals)
Domain: Earth, Wild Animals, Primal Instincts, Wild Places
Appearance:
H2ox5B_NDrYR1UtDB7Q_gxPQYoL4Wei759UV8j89F3B1eEMmPOYodhcFhqtVfGibmbqvr7gysmjCXEYm_BU5MJFJGslbA3itNxYdIDtTTRG-4FCu4HvxxMuYT9T4ZE858ocq3FcH

Motivations: To protect and guard the Wild places, to keep mortal advancement from taking the land fully away from the animals. Will defend the Wilds fiercely and till his last breath.
Strengths/powers: Possesses monumental strength and reflexes, he can adapt his body to have traits from any animal he wishes be it physical changes, or just traits. He can command and control wildlife but opts to just be a guide for them as control would be against the nature of the Wild. The earth bends before him, allowing him to shape it as he sees fit. Can also shapeshift into many wild creatures taking their form and abilities will keeping his mind, the animal forms however are larger.
Weaknesses/flaws: Due to following his more primal instincts, he is subject to a flight or fight response and if he knows he can't win a fight will make a tactical retreat until he can. He hates the technological advancements of mortals as they endanger his wild places.
