Ame Damnee Kryamn Forest

Rythe, Kryamn Forest

The steady gallop of the horses reverberated through the forests as the threat slowly seemed to fade. While they had no particular sense of direction while Brutus was absent, the company continued on their original trajectory, seeing a hint of light appear near the end of the canopy of endless trees. The blur of trunks sped past them all, threatening to catch them with a swift blow from the multitude of branches seemingly aimed towards the riders. Rythe slowed his mount down while the remainder of the group moved forward until he came to a steady trot next to Imogen. His silence seemed to be judgemental at the least whilst he rode, his face kept forward.

One of his heavy gauntlets left the reins, resting on Imogen's head, patting her lightly before his voice traveled to, seemingly, only her. "You shouldn't let mistakes beat you down. A mistake is a lesson, one to push you forward towards your goal. Where will you head towards if you've punished yourself so much that your goal seems further and further away? That being said, be sure to think about things before you go and try. Once you begin, it's only do or die; your mind is your gift, use it well."

With his words, he continued towards the front of the group, alert for any dangers, keeping an eye out in nearly every direction whilst leading them towards the edge of the forest.

Rhiannon - Kryamn Forest

Rhiannon became still after a moment. The world around her moving far too quickly for her liking. Imogen ran off before she could do much about it. Of course she could have caught up with the fae child in a matter of moments but she felt that the little one needed a breath or two without the others around. The vampire nodded slightly to Brutus before she held her hand out to him, “Come my love we have wasted enough time as it is.”

Lisa
"What those?" Lisa asked the small squirrel resting on her shoulder as a somewhat large band of "Lisas" travelled through her home, they looked strange, like Lisa, but bigger, and grumpier, and not all too pleased about something. The small squirrel gave a squeak of despair and sprinted off on its own to rest on a tree, Lisa, meanwhile, was watching the group keenly as they passed, her spectacularly large hat blocking the sun from her eyes due to just how high up she was, she was resting on a large branch at the brim of the forest, that seemed to allow much more light through its canooy the much darker inner-jungle. "Hey! What you!?" Lisa called giddishly from her tree down to the shiny Lisas, her accent was incredibly strange, like dhenwas speaking a completely different language to those that lived in the city not too far from the forest, she felt funny, like her mind was buzzing at something new in the forest that was her home, she clambered down a few branches after her call and sat cross legged on the tree, mouth and eyes wind open in glee at the strange arrival. Lisa tended not to move into the inner forest much of.. Ever, the dark just wasn't as fun as the light was, it made her feel uncomfortable, the animals there weren't friendly and she simply didn't ever feel the need to go there, so it baffled her as to why these people would suddenly walk in. "You scaring the forest!"

Imogen
Kryamn Forest; With Cazimir

Warmth. The feeling of another hand inside of her own. A squeeze. She recognized the familiarity of his touch from before when she had held his hand.Cazimir. Imogen wiped her face one last time before turning her attention to him. She knew that he was sorry, she read it in his thoughts. Normally the girl wouldn't read another person's thoughts without good reason but when she was upset she had more difficulty controlling her power and sometimes it just accidentally happened. His hand dropped from hers but she quickly reached for it again, feeling comforted by the way his hand felt in hers. She attempted to smile at him but her face quickly changed expressions when he asked where to go next. Imogen frowned, she didn't know. She needed Brutus to pick out the scent she had picked up in her last image. Before she could answer the man she noticed Rythe slowing his horses pace to match hers.

A heavy hand appeared on Imogen's head, this gesture made her feel too much like a child and she didn't care for it, however, she listened to Rythe intently. A mistake is a lesson... Your mind is your gift, use it well. He was right. She can learn from this rather than beat herself up over it, more importantly she possessed an amazing gift. A gift that no one else had, she would not let it go to waste; she would use it well, like Rythe advised. The man moved to the front of the group again but Imogen didn't follow, she decided to stay put with Cazimir, her hand in his, until Brutus returned to discuss the next clue.

"Hey! What you!?" the strange voice echoed through the trees. Imogen turned to see an odd girl sitting cross legged before them. Was she friend or foe? Imogen's hand slightly tightened around Cazimir's, the strange girl didn't look threatening but in the Kryamn Forest nothing is as it seems.

Brutus Magnolia - Kryamn Forest

Brutus nodded at Rhiannon and took her hand, the feeling of their fingers intertwining helping to calm his frazzled emotions. Between Rhiannon listening for the groups heartbeats and Brutus on the lookout for Imogen's smell, they were easily able to locate the group. To his relief, he saw Imogen there as well, seeming to get a sort of pep talk from the mysterious Ethereal. He was slightly less enthused seeing her hand intertwined with the playboy's, but decided to let it go for the time being. Aditi knows he's already caused enough problems today.

Brutus and Rhiannon returned to the front of the group, Brutus giving Imogen an apologetic look as he passed. Approaching Rythe, the lycan reported. "The minotaurs shouldn't be a problem for us anymore. Did we find any new leads while I was gone?" The answer he sought never came as the voice of a girl reverberated in his ears. Wincing slightly at the pain of the loud voice he turned to see what looked like yet another young girl, this one perched up in a tree. He hid his face in his palm. Can't things just stay calm for 5 minutes? He asked himself.

Cazimir Heskel
Kryamn Forest - Rythe group

Cazimir's heart may have melted when Imogen took his hand once again. It was a warmth that was very much welcome, and at that moment, he couldn't help but smile. The girl may still be quite innocent and naive, but there was a strength to her that he felt protective about, something he wanted to see grow and flourish. If only he could stay by her side for longer than the limit he'd given himself... The problem lies in the fact that she was so easy to feel fondness to, though. Even if he wasn't attracted to her this way, as a love interest, he doubted he'd still stick around, even just as a friend. She looked so small and delicate... breakable. He shut his eyes closed and took a deep breath, willing the edges of fear away from his consciousness. That was around the time he heard a new, unfamiliar voice.

"Hey! What you!?"

Huh? Cazimir opened his eyes with a frown. A little bothered by the intrusion, he looked up, seeing the younger girl perched up in a branch of one of the trees in the forest. Ah... that girl. She looked rather familiar. He supposed he must have seen her around before, in his occasional strolls around Oblitus. Oblitus is filled with strange creatures and oddballs like her, he knew this from experience.

Scaring the forest.
What an odd way to put it. She looked like a human as far as he could tell, but in a place like this you can never really be so sure. Instead of just standing there however, gawking at the her like everyone else, he felt compelled to wave at her and reply. "I believe it's the forest that's trying to scare us, not the other way around." he said with an amused grin. The girl looked like she was almost a part of the forest as well, it probably won't hurt to ask. "Do you live around here? If you do, have you seen someone pass before us? We're trying to catch a thief. We're not bad guys." he explained in the simplest way he could, thinking that she will appreciate a simple conversation.

Rythe, Kryamn Forest

Staring upwards into the vegetation, Rythe drew his sword, aiming it into the foliage, directly at Lisa. His blade, without light, would be significantly less powerful but would be able at least to illuminate the area for a short while. A shell of white seemingly exploded from the blade, illuminating their immediate vicinity as well as blinding many who were unprepared for the burst of light. The woods seemed to light up from an indistinct light source, as if nothing was giving out light, yet it was there. Sheathing his blade, he waved at Lisa to come down. The girl seemed to know standard language, yet Rythe couldn't remember encountering her in New Eden or on any of the expeditions... Has she always lived in the shade and dark of the forest?

Rhiannon - Kryamn Forest

The vampire touched the fae’s shoulder as she passed by her horse broke from the person who had managed to catch him and ran for her. It would seem Brutus might have competition for the woman’s attention as the large steed slid to a stop before her. He gave a snort as he glance towards the man before he did his best to get between them. The vampire chuckled lightly at the antics.

The voice caused her to glance up. She had heard it somewhere before. Her gaze found the source only to widen slightly. Another being. She sighed slightly and let another take up the task of talking things out with her. She had little desire to do so. Making her way slowly forward. She saw then the kitsune a ways ahead of them. Her large form sniffing at the ground like a hound on a trail might. A moment later she darted off forward. It would seem this beast had more of a reason than anyone to find the missing Plume.

Ryuna, Kryamn Forest

Ryuna was certainly desperate to find the plume. It felt like some part of her was getting further and further away. Pushing herself harder she tried her hardest to find the plume.

Lisa
"Guys..? No no, Lisa only one!" Lisa grinned, watching them all playfully, they weren't the first people in the world she had met, but typically the forest and its creatures kept her away from them. Either that or she was busy playing around atop the trees like usual, but it wasn't unusual for people to see her. Generally she was accepted as a mirage the forest conjures up on occasion to lure intruders, but this was purely speculation most of the time. "Maybe I have! Maybe haven't! You don't know!" Lisa laughed down at them in a child-like fashion, she had practically been raised without any parents, and as such, really couldn't tell what the mood of the conversation was. "Beside! How I know you aren't evil! Forest tell me you all bad! But I am good!" Lisa grinned, standing up and hopping to a slightly lower down branch, arms out-stretched, yet still remaining eerily high. Briefly after, one of the more stern-faced ones seemed to aim a shiny metal stick at her which then exploded with light, causing Lisa to give out a squeak and cover her now temporarily blind eyes, rubbing them in an attempt to regain her vision, once she had succeeded, she pouted and frowned down at them. "Not nice.. Not nice at all.." she mumbled and continued her descent, hopping from branch to branch whilst lacking fear until she performed a particularly large jump to the ground, landing on a couple of large bushes before finally climbing out of the undergrowth. Her spectacularly large hat and simple clothes indicated that they had all been home-made, while her long hair that seemed to reach down to her feet showed off her distance from society. The girl watched them all with bright, wide eyes, happy and having a bit of fun while seeming unusually care-free. "What up?"

Imogen
Kryamn Forest; Rythe's Group.

The young fae observed the one called Lisa as she descended from the trees and appeared on the ground after Rythe's cruel blinding. Imogen smiled at the girl, she was clearly a child and seemed not to be bothered by the fact that everyone's eyes were on her now. It took bravery, or stupidity, to approach such a large group, however; if the girl had lived in the forest her whole life, their group would not appear as threatening. Imogen laughed lightly at Lisa, her carefree attitude was a breath of fresh air. She turned to look at Cazimir who was explaining what they were doing in the simplest terms he could, something about that warmed Imogen's heart. All the girl wanted to do in that moment was stand hand in hand with Cazimir but she knew that was selfish given the circumstance, however; she couldn't seem to shake the longing she felt to spend more time with the man. "Don't freak out." Her voice echoed in Cazimir's mind, "but I would really like it if we could maybe talk more later... uninterrupted." Imogen smiled at him, squeezing his hand before she walked toward Lisa, letting her hand leave Cazimir's as she walked out of his arm's reach. Before approaching the forest girl, she quickly peered at both Rhiannon and Brutus, smiling at their apologetic gestures before being interrupted by Lisa.

Imogen casually approached Lisa as she felt no danger from this girl. When she stood face to face with the girl, it was clear that Lisa was much taller than her but seemed to act quite a bit differently, younger. "It's like my friend said, you see, we are looking for a thief. The thief took something precious and we need help finding it! It's like an adventure and you must know your way around here... You like adventures, don't you? I hope that you'll help us!" Imogen spoke in a lighter tone of voice in an attempt to draw interest from the girl. She flashed her biggest and most charming smile as she outstretched her hand as an offer to Lisa. "What do you say? Want to be part of our group?"

She seems innocent enough and if she truly has grown up in the forest we could use her help in this maze of trees.

Cazimir Heskel
Kryamn Forest - Rythe group

Cazimir was amused by Imogen's reaction on the kid, her laughs were music to his ears. What the hell, I'm getting cheesy now... gross. he thought to himself as he frowned a little. He was pondering the thought for a while when he was startled by a sudden voice echoing in his head. "Don't freak out." It was her voice. Imogen. For a moment he wondered if he's gone insane or the woods are doing something to him, but when she continued and smiled at him, he realized it is her talking, not some figment of his imagination. "but I would really like it if we could maybe talk more later... uninterrupted." she had said, which made him raise his eyebrow, a little bit. She wanted to talk? About what? Is this some ability of hers? Can she read his thoughts as well? The idea gave him a sinking feeling in his gut. His head wasn't exactly the safest place to be in, especially for someone like her.

The way she handled the girl was interesting. She took his lead on how to talk to her, and at the same time tried to secure them a guide. It was smart, as it will help them get through the forest easier. Sure, they'll have to bear the presence of some little runt of a girl for a while, but it couldn't be too bad, right? That was when he realized, if Imogen can send his thoughts to him, maybe her ability also covers vice versa? "Hey, Imo? About that talk, sure... no problem." he thought, feeling a little uneasy because if this didn't reach her, he's just sounds like an idiot. He was just a little surprised about the voice in his head thing that he honestly did not know how to react, but when he gathered his wits, he couldn't help but add, in a rather playful tone. "What's this? Finally confessing your undying love?" he grinned a little, meaning to tease her a little bit.

Brutus Magnolia - Kryamn Forest

Brutus regarded the strange scene unfolding between the group and the forest girl with indifference. There'd been a little too much excitement in one day for him to put up with and all he wanted to do was get them on the right trail again before they set up camp from the night. He noticed the Kitsune sniffing out the trail and shifted over to his wolf form to try and help. Running over to the kitsune, he gave her a look that asked her what she may have found.

Rhiannon - Kryamn Forest

The vampire mounted and rode forward to the head of the group. She could easily relay information between the scouts and the main group. Tilting her head she watched the wolf and kitsune interact. It was a wonder that they could understand each other at all.

Ryuna, Kryamn Forest

The large white fox’s head perked up slightly as Brutus padded up to her side. There was little that she had found. It would seem the forest was working with the enemy for the moment. It would only take a few moments but the kitsune could communicate to the very trees to find where something unusual had passed by. She remembered after a moment or two that it was likely best for them to set up camp soon. Her head jerked to the left at a sound so faint it likely was just her imagination.

The forest was guarded by a great beast that lingered in the ground during the day till night fall. Once the sun setted the very forest would come alive with the souls of the dead that lingered there. Death’s guidance was missed in this great place. Those that died here continued replaying their lives as if they hadn’t passed at all. Theses trapped souls were what the spirit of the forest kept here so it could live.

Returning to her human form glanced around, “We need to get moving a bit more if not we need to set up camp and no one will be allowed to leave the fireside. These woods are worse at night. Not because of what is living but because of what isn’t.” She hoped she was being clear as she fixed her kimonos and kept her ears open.

Rythe, Kryamn Forest

Scratching his hood, Rythe briefly apologized about the light and debated himself for a few moments. "Lisa, I'm guessing? If you want, there is certainly room for accompanyment," gesturing at the spare horses, "but we are going to leave this forest very soon. We could use the help tracking down the thief, especially from someone of your agility..."
He reached into his chestplace, pulling out a small timepiece and opening the protective flap fairly gently. From behind his hood, he glared at the hands before pocketing the metal circle. It was disappointing to say, but they were lagging behind in schedule, it was nearing the time to make camp and they hadn't even left the forest yet, nor were even close to Fairharvest... From what Rythe recalled, the small settlement was just beginning when he last saw it, though that was many years ago. Hopefully they would have spare supplies to sell once they passed through. Currently the sky through the canopy is supposedly reddening as the sun sets, though it didn't exactly matter when no light penetrated through the dense foliage.
Turning towards the bulk of the men, "We're going to need to set up camp now, or we can continue advancing towards the edge of the forest. Right now, the sun is moving towards the horizon and I'm not sure how much further the woods extend for..."

Ratchel
Kyramn Forest

After finally catching up with the Kitsune her rider strangely absent. Ratchel was greeted to the image of the second group..... Along with a new face. A young girl with a mushroom on her head and a bazaar way of talking, At the announcement of setting camp Ratchel just sighed in relief not realizing how tired she was. Finally a chance to catch my breath.

Lisa
"Thiefs no good! But Adventure..? Yes! I like those!" Lisa giggled loudly at the thought of exploration, but a soft rumbling could be heard echoing from deep within the forest, as though the nature here seemed to detest the thought of their gem leaving, Lisa paid no heed and was busy being distracted as she noted a large dog running after a strange cat, "Doggy!" Lisa called, following after it for a few steps before the cat-like thing spoke up. "Worse? Forest is.. Uh.. Wonder at night! Very nice!" Lisa smiled brightly edging forward with hand putstretched in a fashion showing off her determination to pet the one creature that hadn't suddenly turned into a Lisa, or a Human, as the forest called them. "Forests ain't much longer." Lisa replied to the one that appeared to be in charge. "Jus' a little walk." She smiled helpfully, although her definition of 'a little walk' was rather askew, given she didn't know what was little or large for them, and so just said what popped into her mind at the moment. Sometimes, she didn't even know what she was saying herself, language was hard. She gave a small wave to the newest member as the forest returned with another foul grumble at yet another offer to take her away from her safety.

Lisa was the forest's possession. She needed food? The forest grew berries, the needed clothes? The forest gathered the fibres of plants and made them, she needed shelter? The trees grew larger and larger leaves, a large majority of the vast forest had been slightly adapted for her, and, although she didn't appear to be all much, she was its treasure. The thought of her leaving frustrated the forest, yet there wasn't anything it could do if she wanted to leave. After all, in the end, she was still a human and it was against her nature to stay in such a place, it just wanted for her safety, and that was all, so it dropped one of said giant leaves on her head, as a sort-of umbrella, for her to remember her home by, to which, she picked up and carried contentedly over her shoulder. "Bye forest!" Lisa called out into the jungle, probably appearing mad to the others, as the forest simply allowed a gust of wind to pass through and express its sorrow.

Imogen
Kryamn Forest

Imogen looked at the young girl somewhat dumbfounded, she had completely ignored her outstretched hand and headed toward the front of the group as she announced having found Brutus in the most degrading way possible. The young Fae somewhat chuckled as she retracted her hand, well at least she's agreed to join us, even if she is a bit strange and the way she talks about the forest; it's like its her friend. Imogen thought about the forest as a living thing and it providing all of Lisa's needs, it was no wonder the odd girl regarded the forest with such affection. She sighed while smiling and turned back toward Cazimir who was looking at her with a strange grin. Imogen's smile twitched to one side, he looked rather charming with that grin directed toward her but what could he possibly be thinking right now? She suddenly realized it then, was he trying to communicate with her after hearing her voice inside his head? The thought made Imogen chuckle even more as she walked toward Cazimir.

"What's the grin for, Caz?" She asked, while sheepishly reaching to his hand that hung at his side; hooking one of her fingers onto his. "I hope you didn't try and tell me something crude, mister. Besides, you can't talk to me in my mind like I can do to you... but there's a way to do it if you really want to." Imogen smiled at him, hoping that he would accept. For her to be able to link them it meant that she would need to be with him alone in a quiet place. The linking of two minds requires patience and extreme concentration and even then, he wouldn't be able to fully speak to her but rather just summon her attention. It was the same technique she had used with Brutus, which meant that if she created a link between herself and Cazimir, the link between her and Brutus would be severed. The thought of them being connected and being able to speak to each other without words made Imogen's heart flutter. She wanted it but didn't entirely understand as to why. Imogen thought back to when she first laid eyes on him, the feeling she had of being pushed or pulled in his direction was one she couldn't forget; it was unexplainable but something drew her to him and it was one that she wanted to explore. There has to be a reason for this feeling...

Imogen could hear Rythe talking in the distance, he was trying to determine whether or not they continue their journey through the forest or set up camp for the night. Brutus and the strange kitsune were tracking a smell, there was not much that she could do right now and decided to wait for instruction. In this moment, she was content in getting to know Cazimir better as they would be stopping for the night soon anyway.

Brutus Magnolia - Kryamn Forest

The new girl, Lisa if he heard correctly, suddenly approached him with the intent of petting him. At first he was opposed to the idea, but he was always a weak man when it came to kids, and the little smile on Lisa's face was too adorable to say no too. So he sat on his hind legs and let her pet him, feeling somewhat degraded in the process. The forest almost sounded as if it was grumbling at them when the idea of taking Lisa with them was brought up, it made him feel uneasy.

Once Lisa was finished messing up his fur, he changed back into human form with the kitsune. Her words about the forest concerned him, his mother never told him where in the Oblitus they had lost his dad, but he had a sense of dread surround him when she mentioned the threat of possible undead. "I say we make camp here for tonight, I'm gonna need to go over what I'm smelling for with Imogen anyway, might as well do it knowing we're all safe."

Ratchel
Kyramn Forest

The sight of the child peting the lycan was almost too adorable, despite still holding a little bit of a grudge against Brutus, Ratchel couldn't help but agree with his decision. "I second that." Saying nonchalantly hiding how tired she truly was to everyone, fighting the undead and only getting a few minutes of sleep finally started to take their toll sooo. With a mental command, her floating crystals that were out of eye view suddenly planted themselves in the ground 12 meters away from the group, in the shape of decagon from a bird's eye view.

Taking a few crystals from her wings wincing a little as she pulled them out and forming them into something resembling a compass. "Take these. If anyone gets lost for whatever reason these will guide you back." The crystals were glowing a faint light green color that seemed to point to the direction of the other crystals near.

Rhiannon - Kryamn Forest

Blinking at the young one calling Brutus a doggy Rhiannon quickly found herself falling into a bought of laughing. It had been so long it seemed since she enjoyed the feeling of just letting the sensation flood over her. His quiet reluctance was sweet and made her heart swell in her chest with love for both the man and the beast. His words made her nod. It was true. It was safer to camp for the night.

Dismounting the vampire lead the steed over to one of the large trees and tied her horse to one of the lower branches. The forest’s complaint caused her to stare at the large structure before her, “She will be happy and safe. I swear it,” she whispered.

Ryuna, Kryamn Forest

The female glanced to the child then realized she had just been invited to join them. Shaking her head she glared at the group. These humans were soft of the heart and knew little of the ways of the spirits they lived along side, “No,” She stated sharply making sure she was heard loud and clear, “You can’t take what the forest doesn’t give to you,” She pointed at the child, “She is a bride of this forest. To take her would likely mean the Forest Spirit would decide to hunt us down. If it leaves the forest the forest will die as will all the beasts in it.”

Ryuna called forth a few balls of fire, “Get ready to camp. Every one will stay with in the light of campfires. If not I will not care what happens to you out there,” She was being harsher than normal. One might say she was in a horrible mood. Her gaze danced back to the child before she jumped away from her and up into the lower branches of a tree. Unlike the humans she didn’t carry any gear nor did she have a steed to tend to. Leaning back against the trunk of the tree she watched the humans prepared for the night.

The forest spirit was just starting to sture in the darkest parts of the woods causing her ears to perk again. Her nine tails hung loosely down off to either side of the branch she sat on. The thought that something bad was going to happen wouldn’t leave her.
