After a long battle out at sea... Hanging on by a mere thread of consciousness.
But if it was for Commander, it was worth it.
Even if she was just a ghost, who nobody could see, it made her happy...
She was commander's ghost.
Resting in the dorm, like she usually did... On a soft, fluffy cloud of some kind, she never realized she was going to end up in a new, foreign place for her to 'haunt', until it was too late.
...
Simon was having that dream again, the same dream that used to haunt him every night; he was walking down a street, alone. A man was begging for someone to help, and deep down, though he knew disaster would fall upon him when he did so, he was powerless to stop himself.
At least it was just a familiar dream returning to him, and not... A crazy experience involving some killer doll, a giant zombie monster, amongst who knows what else.
Just that, that was the most vivid dream he had had in years...
It was then that something happened to his surroundings, something that had never happened before in this recurring nightmare of his... The re-experience of the incident that changed his life forever, the one he would often refer to as 'the black day'.
His surroundings began to melt away, and soon... A somewhat familiar came to him.
The feeling of every sense in his body suddenly failing him, the seemingly infinite blackness that sprawled in front of him. Suddenly, a feeling like every particle in his body was flung with great force towards a destination he could not see, hear, or perceive...
Until finally, he woke up again.
Long Island for a while tried to stay hidden, lurking around the trees, constantly muttering something about being a ghost, and about how people 'couldn't see her'...
Though, as the group started to move, she began to follow them, getting intrigued by the idea of an 'extra' on a movie set.
She was going to be famous!
A famous ghost was a happy ghost after all, but upon hearing that roar, she decided to stick a little closer to the group.
After a while of just sneaking around, she did spot a couple familiar faces in the midst of the many people she did not know (but no Commander, unfortunately.)
Seeming to be deciding between Laffey, and Erebus, eventually she chose the former, sneaking up behind her first, before suddenly shouting...
"Boo!" She shouted at the top of her lungs.
In her mind, she was pretty convinced that she was being a good ghost like this.

Simon in the meantime hung back for different reasons; he was scared. Not neccessarily of the unfamiliar faces though, but the all too familiar one he had seen in his previous dream.
Were the two connected? Was she the manifestation some subconscious fear he had deep down?
Or maybe... This wasn't a dream at all.
Part of him was at least glad to be able to walk again, to be able to somewhat move around, like a normal person would.
His body was once more returned to how it usually was in his dreams; fully operational, but his very surroundings were rarely so welcoming.
As far as he could gather, they were on some movie set. They were supposed to be 'extras', but yet... This place felt all too real to be just a movie set.
Jack's rash action which almost seemed to kill her, until her head popped up under the leaves, seeming to be okay.
Despite the fact that she had said all those frightening things, alongside a few others back in that other dream... He had kind of worried about her.
Maybe it was because she still looked like a child for the most part, even acted like one. Just, alot more blood thirsty, and obsessive over someone she called 'mother'.
If he remembered correctly, she was the
true identity Jack the Ripper.
Despite many assuming the infamous killer that had stalked London Streets in the late 19th century, perhaps they were actually female? After all, no-one had ever gotten a proper look at the killer's face, and it seemed the killer had never been caught.
Some didn't even believe all of those murders were connected, but... ... It seemed, the missing link, the killer who got away was now right in front of him so to speak.
Eventually though, as he heard a roar of some unknown creature up ahead, and was urged to move around, he gulped, seeming to internalize the fact that there were other, more dangerous things potentially lurking around.
If he were to survive, he had to be able to brave it with the rest of the group, even if it meant he had to interact with the person he feared the most.
In short, in order to work better with the group, he had to start with the most difficult person he could think of at the moment to work with. He would have to speak to Jack.
Quietly clearing his throat, he fell into pace with her, catching up to the group somewhat as a result.
"Your mother... Who is she?" He asked, deciding to open up with a topic they both seemed familiar with.
There weren't actually many others he could think of off the top of his head, so this was the best he had, at least for now.
