World
The world is known as by many names, and is host to many factions. In the center is the seat of humanity known as the Border Empire, home to the technologically advanced Bordermen and the Beast Men, a race of freed slaves of the Mad Queen. To the West lies the lush and vibrant land of Britain, a land of peasants and serfs and of knights and nobles. The Britainnians work tirelessly for the benefit of their Kingdom as is their holy duty. To the North lies a land devoid of life. A sickly green fog covers what is known as the Northern Wastes, and inside it lives the Wastelanders, a friendly if not foul smelling race. To the Southwest of the Border Empire lies Alttanion, the desert lands of the Alltanians, a race of dragon men who constatnly fights the Mad Queen of Stallia. To the east past the World's End Peaks, over its snowy tips, is the mysterous and deadly forest of Verdanthome, protected ever so vigilantly by the Verdantkin, despite their dwindiling numbers. And finally to the South, lies the enemy to life itself, the nation of Stellia, the land of the Undead, and ruled by the Mad Queen, bent on destroying the Border Empire at any cost, as for every dead mortal adds another soldier in her unholy army. This is the world you live in, a world that is for the first time in its history, is experiencing a relative peace as all nations had banded together to face a common foe, and whether they succeed depends on their willingness to stand together or die alone.

Magic

In this world, magic had always been there, lingering in the air and carried in by the winds. While all can feel the ebb and flow of magic, if they really concentrated, only a select few can unitize this resource to perform extraordinary feats and deeds. However the use of magic in itself is dangerous as it the use strains the body and mind. Young or power hungry wizards might use too much magic at once and in such cases suffer side effects, ranging from relatively harmless effects such as headaches and nosebleeds, to more dangerous effects such as Savant syndrome or even death.

Stahlhiem College
Stahlhiem College is the only magic school in the entirely of the Border Empire. Every year up to a 15-20 new students arrive and every year only 3-4 graduate to a brighter future. The college is currently housing over 300 Students, all of which are at different stages of their training to become proper mages. The college follows a strict curriculum and is staffed by 7 Master Mages, as well as protected by a division of mercenary Void Born and Nugs to ensure student safety. The College itself is rather large, with trips from one side of the College to the other taking 15-20 minutes, not including the building itself.

Locations
Dormitory: The Dormitory is where the students will live and sleep while at Stahlhiem College. Students are too take heed not to leave any items of value lying around unguarded as the Tunnel Goblin Servants will tend to steal any object that isn't bolted to the floor.

Testing Grounds: Students are taught how to use spells vocally but require a place to test them out. The outdoors Testing Grounds provides such a place.

Classrooms: the Classrooms are only for students years 1-7. There they will be taught the basics of magic from one of the 7 Master Mages.

Lecture Halls: 15 large and empty rooms where students years 8-17 are taught and trained in more specialized magic by the 18th-20th year students of their school.

Library: The Library is an expansive hall, with hundreds of books with varying subjects to study. Students will not find wanting should they wish to read a good book on the history of the Border Empire, or find a book on Tunnel Goblins

Meal Hall: The Meal Hall is where all students go for their dinners, provided by the College's...not goblin staff. Announcements will be made there as well.

Dueling Hall: When mages must settle disputes personally, they trek to the Dueling Hall where two or more wizards fight it out until one is the victor. Luckily the Void Born Guards make sure that no one is seriously injured...for the most part.

Courtyard: A large open area underneath the sun for the students to eat, socialize and train in. It is usually guarded 24/7 by Void Born guard to prevent any fights from breaking out from the more rowdy students.

Infirmary: Magic is rather dangerous. Like really dangerous, especially in the hands of novices and over eager students. The infirmary is there to make sure that the people injured at the College would stay stable until healed.

Chapel: The College sports a chapel with shrines, statures, alters and totems of all the various Gods of the world, including Ulrich Ulmarc, the Warrior God of the Border Empire, the Grail Lady, Noble Goddess of Britain, Drognar, Shakeel, the Desert Dragon God of the Alttanians, Idlil and Ionor, the Sun and Moon gods of Verdanthome and the Plague Father, the god of the Wastelanders.

Stables:
The Stables is where the college keeps all animals it uses for either experimentation, lessons, transportation. Here nests the Province Dragon, Mashal the Dark Grey Dragon.

Barracks: Here the Void Born can rest, relax and rearm themselves before heading out on their next shift. There are also cells to keep students and staff caught committing crimes inside the school.

Graveyard: A depressing place, made for the thousands of Mages and Wizards who lost their lives attempting to master their craft, either through their someone else's folly or their own. The Graveyard is guarded 24/7 by Void Born to prevent Death Wizards from disrupting the dead.

Stahlhiem: The city of Stahlhiem itself is a large bustling city of industry, with luxury goods being produced and inported in every day. Students, would they wish may explore the city as long as they leave with a Void Born escort and if they return on time.
-Residential District: Homes and hovels, most of the population of the Stahlhiem lives here. One can find taverns and inns here and there is usually very little guard activity during the day but during the night the streets can be crawling with many paid watchmen. Vulmar can be found here during the early hours of the night.

-Mercantile District: Forges, Shops and other services can be found here as this is where all the raw resources are used to make refined weapons, armor, clothing, tools and other luxuries. Students beware as shopkeepers might raise prices and attempt to swindle as much money as they can get from you.

-Plaza: A public clearing where many people set up small shops and socialize. There is a large fountain in the plaza of a knight saving his fellow man from the toothed maw of a dragon.

-Penitence Grounds: A small clearly just to the side of the plaza where prisoners are publicly punished and humiliated, usually by putting them in stockades for outs or tying them to poles and whipping them. On more special occasions criminals are subjugated to public execution by hanging, beheading or flagellation.

-Prison: The Prison is a collection of cells that holds a number of criminals from thugs, thieves, rapists and murders. This area is restricted to everyone without proper documentation.

-Military District: Here those who wish to fight for their city or Empire sign up to become militia or become proper State Troops. Usually one isn't allowed here without proper documentation as spies and saboteurs are a constant threat to the Province capital. If one's lucky maybe they can buy some military surplus.

-Shish's Land: Located in the outskirts of the city Shish's Land is where the College's Nugs live in large tents and poorly built huts made of wood and leather. At night one can see the outline of Shish's Land rather clearly and when the wind blows they can smell the scent of meat, honey, and other exotic ingredients the College pays its Nugs with.

-Outskirts: The outskirts of Stahlhiem. Beyond the walls are small lakes, large fields and endless dangers. There are some small farms, quarries, mines and lumberyards to produce some raw resources to add to what Stahlhiem gets through trade.

Ruins of the Ashbor: A ruin that once belonged to the once powerful Skalageboren, or Dragon Cultists, located roughly a weeks ride from Stahlhiem. The Ruins resembles that of a raided and razed town, which is what happened to Ashbor as the Church of Ulmarc stormed the town and killed every man, woman and child inside Ashbor before setting the town ablaze. Scavengers have picked the town clean of most valuables, but if one looks hard enough then they might still find some items of importance, or the remains of long gone individuals.

-Ashbor Plaza: A small clearing in the middle of the town. In the middle is a large crumbling altar that once held many prayer sessions and failed rituals done by the Skalageboren.

-Ruined Houses: Ruined Homes, while unsuitable for living, is suitable for makeshift shelters.

-Mess hall: A well sized mess for the armed forces of Ashbor. There are still many bowls and rusted cups in the Mess Hall

-Armory: A small building which the residents of Ashbor kept their weapons and armor. It's completely empty as it's been picked clean by brigands and raiders.

-Library: A small burnt down library, set ablaze by Witch Hunters, the Library used to contain many artifacts and tomes, but now sits as a horrifying reminder to everyone who crosses the church as it is well documented that the Witch Hunters herded the unarmed into the Library before lighting the match.
