Mr. Wade & Watch

Cult of Personality
What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?
Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,
The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.
What candles may be held to speed them all?
Not in the hands of boys but in their eyes
Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes.
The pallor of girls' brows shall be their pall;
Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,
And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds.

'Anthem for Doomed Youth'
The city was at dawn. The sky glowed a deep orange, both from the setting sun and rapid fires. Skyscrapers were burning like massive lighthouses, while below the streets were covered in ash and dried blood. A battle had taken place between several armies. Each one different than the last if you were to search the bodies. Some had medieval swords, others massive assault rifles no ordinary human could carry, and the outfits and armor they wore showed a distinct lack of being from the same world.

Those who wore iron as protection likely fell victim to machine guns, nothing but easy targets with no way to defend themselves. But even those of more advanced weaponry seemed almost mutilated, with limbs cast off their bodies by great force. Something was horribly wrong on this planet. It would only get worse as time went on.

In one second, you are in your home world, doing something of great importance, or simply relaxing. Then, before you could blink, something flashed before your eyes. A bight neon green flash blinds you, and suddenly your body feels like it's falling. Gravity pulls your left, right and center, spinning you all around as the ground beneath your feet disappear.

As quickly as you leave your world, you enter a new one. A massive metropolis city is before your sights, but it looks destroyed. Battered by artillery and war, like god had punished it.

Where are you? And how did you get here?

Corrin had been relaxing in the temple hot spring after a long battle. She had just returned to her world after helping the sacred family defeat Velezark. the Dark Dragon. Adter returning to her world and resting for a bit, a nice hot dip in the bath seemed just what she needed.

"Ahh... This is nice..." Corrin said as she leaned back into the golden steam of the water. She felt her troubles melt away, as well as all of the stress of the fight dissipate in seconds. She wanted to remain in this heaven forever, to never wake up and-

Wait, was she falling? Corrin noticed the green light a little too late before her surroindings crumbled away and she was tossed into a black void. The chosen princess of Nohr screamed as she tried to activate her wings to no avail. Growling in fustration, she tried to morph into her dragon form, to no such luck.

"Damn it! Come on!" Corrin yelled. The next thing she knew, she was eating a fistful of dirt from the ground. Luckily, she semed to have been dressed during the fall, because she was clad in her full battle armor. Omega Yato lay embedded in a concrete pillar a few paces away. Fingering the Dragonstone in her sash, The dragon waifu walked over and reclaimed her birthright, the burning chainsaw sword cutting through the rock like butter.

Where was she? Another universe? Was this some sort of trick? If Jakob had anything to do with this, she would not be happy Wherever she was, she needed to find out, and fast. The city looked like it had been torn to shreds. What happened here? A big and massive war, perhaps. But Corrin couldn't recognize the metal monsters with cannons and armored bodies laying on the floor, clutching metal weapons of some form.

The beautiful maiden wandered around for a bit, looking to see just where fate had left her.

Hector was walking through the hallways of Castle Ostia after being crowned Marquess after successfully defeating Nergal and the Black Fang, successfully repelling the return of the Dragons. After a meeting with Oswin and the other Marquesses including his close friend and confidorc; Eliwood, Hector retired to his quarters for the night. "Bah. Nothing is exciting around here anymore. Aside from spars with Eliwood, being a Marquess seems to involve more paperwork than action. You know what? I'm going out for practice." Hector exclaimed as he immediately exited his room only to start... falling?

Hector fell into a dark void, spiralling around as it appeared he was being teleported. "What?! What is happening?" And then he dropped with a loud thud as he was still wearing his battle armour. "Ugh... Where the heck am I?" He took a look around his surroundings as the place was ravaged, destroyed, baron. But there was more than just swords and bows around; strange metal weapons and armour was here too, including wrecks of large machines. Seeing Armads getting lodged into a nearby Rock, he used all his strength and pulled it out, only to discover someone across from him; a girl? No... An armoured girl.

"Hey! Who are you and where are we?"
@Hahli Nuva

Corrin drew her blade, Omega Yato igniting at Hector's presence. The man looked as out of place as she did, but Corrin had no reason to trust him just yet. For all she knew, he was some sort of bandit. She would have to test his skills, and see if he was a threat or not.

"Halt! I am Lady Corrin of Nohr! And you will lay down your weapons at once!"

@Raynar Saassin

Seeing Corrin draw her blade meant that she was quick to not trust a stranger, let alone another warrior. In response, he drew his Legendary Axe: Armads and confronted her.

"And I am Hector, Marquess of Ostia, known as the Impregnable Fortress in all of Lycia on the Eliebian Continent. Stay your blade or we will have to fight!"

@Hahli Nuva

Corrin narrowed her eyes at Hector, telling him all he needed to hear without saying so. She was not going to back down. A fight it was....

"I will not back down! Prepare yourself!"

"Sigh. I guess I have no choice then." Hector exclaimed as he readied his Armads. "Armads, Axe of the Legendary Berserker Durban, give me strength!" Hector then rushed towards Corrin, aiming for a strong upwards swipe of his axe.

Meanwhile...

Ephraim was training Eirika further in the art of Swordplay after they had successfully defeated the Demon King. They had been sparing with each other for a long time, keeping each other ready for possible fights in the future, despite how Eirika insisted that peace was an eternal thing. After their duel, Ephraim insisted on going out on patrol for Bandits, as the remnants of Bazba's Bandits were still terrorising Renais.

As he was on his way over to a village, something had pulled him into a dark void and dropped him off at a new location, but it was different... War torn, destroyed, baron. But there were strange weaponry and armour that was not recognisable. "Where am I... This is not Renais. Wait a minute. What's that sound..." Ephraim exclaimed as he ran to the source of the noise, which was two people fighting: Hector and Corrin.

"You two! Seize this pointless bout! This is not the time to be picking fights when we should be figuring out our location, who we even are and how we can fix whatever mess we've landed into!" Ephraim shouted, hoping to draw their attention.

@Hahli Nuva

Corrin deftly flipped backwards, the head of Hector's axe barely missing her nose. She used her momentum to springboard off of a broken vehicle and kicked herself off of it, stabbing Omega Yato forwards and activating the chainsaw blade. "Omega Yato activate!"

The blade sprang to life as Corrin drilled forwards, twisting her body and changing her left hand into a sharpened lance to double the attack. If he blocked her sword, he could still possibly get stabbed by her lance. Either way, he'd have to defend, and that gave her the opening to think of a new strategy.

@Raynar Saassin

"Sigh..." Ephraim sighed as it was clear they didn't hear him. He quickly started to run in and brandished his Legendary Lance: Siegmund, and charged in towards Corrin. "Looks like we're doing this the hard way."

"Woah!" Hector exclaimed as he quickly pushed himself back and attempted to block the Lance with his Axe. Luckily in FE, Axes best Lances so in terms of a lance on axe combat, he had a small advantage.

As Hector went to block the Lance, he and Corrin would find that a man had appeared and blocked Corrin's lance with his own, standing strong. "Looks like you two didn't quite hear me correctly. We have no time to be fighting right now. Stop this pointless fight immediately and think logically here. We've been stranded here by an unknown power, let's band together as allies rather than enemies." Ephraim stated.

@Hahli Nuva

Corrin growled. She was not falling for any tricks. "Can't fight me alone? You have to bring in your friends like a coward!?"

The princess leapt back, pulling a small stone from her sash and holding it into the air. A puddle of water started to form beneath her, and in a second she was flodded with a rush of water from below, covering her for a bit while she transformed. When the transformation was complete, a mighty beast stood in the men's way.

"So you're a Mankete." Ephraim exclaimed with a smirk on his face as he prepared himself. "You've just put yourself at a major disadvantage. The Legendary Weapon; Siegmund was built to defeat such creatures that were controlled by the Demon King!"

"A dragon..." Hector muttered. "Like this man just said. Major disadvantage, Corrin. All of Elibe's Legendary Weapons were forged to kill your kind, including my axe, Armads!" He then assumed a battle position alongside Ephraim. "I don't know who you are, but if this person is indeed a Mankete, we can't let them recause the havoc the Dragons left behind on Elibe."

"And I don't know who you are either, but you seem more of an ally than an enemy. Let's strike her down together so we can finally smack some sense into her." Ephraim stated as he executed a Critical Attack alongside Hector's Critical Attack!

BOSS BATTLE: CORRIN

OBJECTIVE: Knock some sense into Corrin.

DEFEAT: Hector or Ephraim fall in battle.

Corrin gave a mighty roar, charging forwards and blasting a volley of water bolts at rapid speeds straight for the heroes. She looked different from other Manaketes indeed, could this be a sign of their usual weaknesses not present? Corrin unfurled her wings, taking to the skies like a bat out of hell to stay out of reach from their weapons.

@Raynar Saassin

"Woah!" "Careful!" Both declared at once as they scattered to evade the incoming water bolts. They had then witnessed that Corrin had taken flight and flew into the skies. "Coward. Come and fight us like a true lord!" Hector declared, angry at how cowardly they were acting. "Hector, did you bring a Hand Axe?" Ephraim asked. "Even better. I brought a Tomahawk. Take this!"

Hector yelled as he tossed the Tomahawk straight for Corrin's Wings, hoping to bring her down to the ground. Ephraim followed up by pulling out a Javelin and throwing it towards the other wing.

@Hahli Nuva

Corrin easily deflected both weapons with a lash of her spiked tail. She then roared and charged forwards,slamming into the ground and unleashing a seismic wave of magic water that rushed to meet both men but intsead seemed to serve as a distraction so that she could safely change back. After the wave flashed forwards, Corrin returned to human form, eyes alight with rage.

"You think you're the first to try and kill me with legendary weapons? Please. My dragonskin has rendered me impervious! Take THIS!"

Corrin formed her arm into a lance and peirced a stationary Taxi Cab, hoisting it up and hurling it at the two men.

@Raynar Saassin

"Hector!" "Right!" Hector exclaimed as he brandished his Armads once again and performed a large slice towards the Taxi Cab, slicing it in half. "Nice one Hector. You're quite skilled with that Axe." "But of course! Otherwise the Armads wouldn't of let me wield it."

"My turn to go on the offensive." Ephraim exclaimed as he rushed over to Corrin and began to attack her with his lance. "So you're a Lance User, are you? Let's see how you hold out against one who specialises solely in Lance-play."

@Hahli Nuva

Spartan Raynar was on an important mission assigned to him on the UNSC. A unstable and megalomanical Sangheili by the name of Shen 'Krasovai was located on an on-the-move Covenant Corvette and was ordered to be eliminated before he could cause more chaos.

Under the guise of an Covenant Banshee, Raynar successfully infiltrated Shen's Corvette and made it to the Bridge undetected. There, he found Shen and confronted him only for the both of them to be pulled into a dark void-like portal, almost as if something was wrong with the Corvette's Hyperdrive Engine. They had both discovered that they were now on a baron world in ruin. Dead bodies and machines were littered about including ancient weapons like bows and swords.

Raynar stood back up and looked around, shouting. "Shen! Where are you, you Covenant Bastard!" Holding his Tactical Shotgun, he looked around for the Elite.

@Wyvern Rider

@Raynar Saassin

Shen considered himself to be a decent enough man. He treated his soldiers like he would treat his best friends (poorly) treated his enemies with respect and honor (yeah, right...) and he could even be very mercifull to those who had wronged him (HA!), but even he had limits. And after a long day of fighting the Swords of Sanghelios, UNSC marines and SPARTANS, he had hoped to sneak away in a Corvette with a small army, hoping to recover somewhere and plot his next move. After all the Storm Covenant had lost their last stronghold and the Didact's Hand had been slain by another Spartan (one who had been rumoured to be on Sunaion about the same time he and his troops abonded the city, though he thankfully hadn't run into him). But appearently, that plan had gone wrong and he was now in...Actually, he was still working on that. Did the slipspace engines act up or something like that? He would have to interrogate the Chief Engineer of the ship (whom he hadn't named yet) about it later. But to top it all off, one of those pesky Spartans had now infultrated his ship.

Needless to say, Shen's patience was running out.

They were still on the ship, though it had seemingly crashed onto an unknown world and Shen could see the bodies, machines, weapons and all sorts of other things through the energy shields that served as windows in some parts of the ship, making it easier for smaller ships to enter the Corvette. His own troops were still on the ship he assumed (and they were), but the damned Spartan had killed most of them, with the exception of some Unggoy that had deserted upon seeing him. Thus, it was now up to him to take out the heretical demon himself. If you want something to go right...

Shen was currently cloaked and a few meters behind Raynar, sneaking up on him while he unsheated an Energy Dagger, which made less noise then a sword. With some luck, he could slay the human before it had even noticed what was going on and claim his head as a trophy. The dead of a Spartan was always good for morale, after all.

"Wait a minute..." Raynar exclaimed, standing completely still for a moment. Then lightly chuckled under his helmet, loud enough for the Elite to hear him. "Pfft. Relying on your cloaking technology just to jump a Spartan? You're more cowardly than I imagined you'd be, Shen. Now come on out and let's talk. And no funny stuff, my shotgun's loaded." He exclaimed, turning around to his back, hoping that his insult forces him to reveal himself.

"That's if you are as honourable as people say, despite being a megalomanical bastard."

@Wyvern Rider

Corrin was silent as she brought up Omega Yato, blocking and matching the man blow for blow. It was quite clear she was no ordinary mankete, or warrior for that matter. Her footwork was percise, and she fought with the grace of a dancer and with the ferocity of a berserker. Whoever or whatever trained her had obviously made sure this precieved weakness to lances and legendary weapons would not be an issue.

She batted away his lancehead with a sideslash, before leaping back to gain some range. Corrin shot her palm forwards and her entire arm morphed into the fearsome black maw of a dragon's mouth before firing off a large ball of blue liquid energy.

@Raynar Saassin

"Impressive." Ephraim exclaimed as he quickly rolled out of the way of the large blast, with Hector having to duck to just barely survive impact. "Listen. I just want to talk things out, okay? We're wasting time and energy fighting each other when we should be thinking about the most important thing right now: Where even are we?" He asked, keeping his guard up but standing in a defensive stance.

Hector walked behind Ephraim and held his axe onto his shoulder. "Listen, girly. I wasn't even attempting to attack you. You clearly are no bandit and you've got quite the combat skill. Can we just drop his spar for now and talk peacefully?"
