As you leave the city, the wastelands of Oblitus will come into view. Before that, you are met with a river winding around the outskirts and a big sign brandishing the name 'Abaddon' in freshly painted letters. An old cobblestone bridge crosses the gap between land and water, leading you into the vast wilderness beyond.
Out here, many shaken-up travelers make their way into the city. There is a gate to prevent any wild creatures from breaking in and threatening the townspeople, as well as multiple guards stationed by the entrance to the bridge. One must always state their business before entering and leaving Abaddon. If one is suspected of being an uninvited Warden, Ethereal, or rogue, they will be taken into custody and interrogated on short notice.
