[Treasure]

Sam settled down with a happy sigh and closed his eyes.

After a moment, Clancy returned. "You look much more comfortable."

 

[KenżaSheep]

"Maybe," she cocked her head slightly, almost expectantly.

 

[Treasure]

"What did I forget?" Clancy asked, amused.

 

[KenżaSheep]

"What do you think you forgot?" Kitty asked. There really wasn't anything; she was... ah... pulling on his pigtails, as the phrase goes.

 

[Treasure]

Clancy thought back over the last couple of days. "Nothing at all. I think you enjoy pulling my leg," he smirked.

 

[KenżaSheep]

She grinned in return. "Maybe. You gonna stand in the doorway and watch me the whole time?"

 

[Treasure]

"Why? Is it creepy?" He moved forward and sat on the end of the bed. "Less creepy?"

 

[KenżaSheep]

Kitty giggled. "I didn't say it was." She replied, moving to sit beside him.

 

[Treasure]

"You really should be getting rest," Clancy said, although he made no move to leave. "You have all of Sam's things, yes?"

 

[KenżaSheep]

"Yes," she nodded, "I do. And I have my things, and there are your things; we're all set."

 

[Treasure]

"Excellent," Clancy said with a brisk nod. "Then tomorrow we shall be ready to hit the open road!" He smiled in satisfaction. "First thing tomorrow night, I will get my, uh, box into the back and make certain everything is stable before we go."

 

[KenżaSheep]

"Yes." She agreed. To think, tomorrow would be her last day here.... "Hey, Clancy?"

 

[Treasure]

"Yes?" Clancy asked.

 

[KenżaSheep]

"Do you think we'll... or, I'll ever come back here?"

 

[Treasure]

Clancy considered the possibility. "There is a chance, yes. Especially for you. Not quite so much for me as people would wonder."

 

[KenżaSheep]

"But..." Her expression clouded in confusion. "How would I come back here if... you aren't also?"

 

[Treasure]

"Perhaps I would send you on a task," Clancy shrugged. "There are possibilities."

 

[KenżaSheep]

"Hmm...." She nodded. Kitty yawned again.

 

[Treasure]

"Alright, sleepy kitten, it is time you laid back and slept," Clancy said, moving to get off the bed.

 

[KenżaSheep]

She reached out to wrap her arms around him, hugging him tightly. Gentle, nervous, and tired, but she was happy.
