Illusion Prisoners of Hogwarts

“Eh? Surviving life? We-well...I mean, I’m not really sure! I-I..My memories are really bad, so I’m not sure about primary school, but in Hog-Hogwarts, I’m usually not this idiotic, at-at...least in pub..lic...Ahahaha..Well, it doesn’t matter wh-why anyways, I’m..I’m still al-alive after all! Yes?”
Melody seemed to be shaking now, and her speech seemed to be kind of slurred or stuttered, as well as her moving nervously. She gripped her wand tightly and seemed to be doing a non verbal spell.

If Professor Swagglebone was noticing her behavior his face wasn't showing an inch of emotion be it concern or annoyance. "You jammer on about this and that, the fact that you are making my ears bleed for having to listen to your voice for this long tells me that you're alive. To my detriment."

"Then... what is it?" Rolien asked Fantasma as she heard the roar again, but this time closer. She looks towards Fantasma's wand as he pulled it. "Are you sure...? Maybe... we should... both go back. Or... maybe call... the... ehh... police? If it is... eh... dangerous?" Rolien asked Fantasma. She didn't seem to want to go back alone or perhaps not aware of the possible danger. She slowly pulls out her own wand, even though she would most likely have nothing to use aside using it as the weakest club ever if whatever outside and possibly approaching is hostile. But perhaps whatever possible hostile out there might not know that.

A lie but one he hoped would make Rolien go towards the castle. "A-As a teacher i-it's my duty to p-protect any student, p-please head back to the c-castle."

"Of course I'm going! Listen, Juno, isn't it a little, you know, convenient that the first blizzard of fifty years happens the same year all of these incidents have?" Rio had become something of a conspiracy theorist these past few weeks, trying to piece together what was going on. "I mean, no one can get home or contact their parents and tell them what's going on...isn't that at least a little bit weird to you?"

Oh no. Kit was coming. Putting on his best big brother smile, Rio waved at him. "Oh hey, Kit! What's up?"

"They keep talking about that rumor and it's weird. Sounds like a lot of rubbish y'know? Anyway, I wanted to know if you ever got your money back." he responded, before looking to Juno as he approached. "Oh, hello Juno." he greeted.

"I-I am sure." When he realized that Rolien was set on staying he pushed her back. "Y-You can't! T-There's been reports about something d-dangerous outside!" A lie but one he hoped would make Rolien go towards the castle. "A-As a teacher i-it's my duty to p-protect any student, p-please head back to the c-castle."

"But... what would stop... it... from... eh... ignoring you... and go after me? Maybe we should... eh... hmm... s-stick together. Yes, that's it..." Rolien answered.

"Convenient is... certainly a word, I suppose," Juno said with a resigned sigh, crossing her arms and nodding briefly. Indeed, how often had Hogwarts ever been snowed in like this? And at such a time too, all things considered, "I would chalk it up to coincidence, but I suppose when magic is in the equation, there leaves little room for such coincidences. Jeez, what a pain, really..." She lamented, looking out the window with a melancholic tune, as though everything had just become tiresome for her at this point.

"If you really wish me to supervise you, then I suppose I--" She began, before Kit appeared, causing their conversation to pause for the time being.

"Ah... Good afternoon to you, Mr. Myre. Something on your mind, I presume?"

[Sleepwalker]

When Melody spoke again, her face lit up in a nearly mad way, and spoke quickly while her hands began to scratch the skin on her face and she bit her lips until it bleed. The spell must have been a cheering spell, abeit poorly cast to the point where the nervous energy was directed to psychotic behaviour.
“Ahahaha!~ Why didn’t you say that earlier! I hate talking to people, and speaking to a teacher is only a bit easier for me. If I had the confidence in this state, then I would have engaged in a duel by now! But...because I don’t, I’m stuck in a tense situation with the scariest teacher, oh how ironic.”
Melody was tired even with the cheering charm, and longed for this encounter to end. If it wasn’t for the fact it was Swagglebone instead of Mcgonagall or something, Melody would have talked her way through and cry there and then forget about it tomorrow, but this was Swagglebone.

"Oh, yeah! Ross had it. I was heading back when I found Juno and we talked about N.E.W.T.s, and stuff." Wow, that was actually a pretty good lie. Rio was kind of proud of himself for that one. "You heading off somewhere else, Kit?"

Melody got a firm bop on the head courtesy of Swagglebone's staff. "If you don't believe I know what some of these books are, I'm going to inform you right now that I know every single book in this school. Do not take me for a fool again, girl."

"Anything I can help with?" Gloriosa asked helpfully. "Teachers are here to help the students after all. And if there's something wrong then I have to help you, right?"

"E-Excusme me!" From behind her Rolien could hear professor Fantasma shouting after her. He looked like a round snow man with all the clothes he had wrapped around himself. Even with all that cover it was clear that he was not having a good time.

"It's just weird how we have a horrible snow storm so quickly in years. What exactly... is out there?" Ablacanader nodded at the teacher,Gloriosa.

Melody kept smiling but she seemed to have doused herself in another spell. Melody spell, while poorly cast, was powerful, and it’s effect must have been not very good to it’s already unhinged host.
“And that is why I didn’t bother dueling~...Eh, I’m not a mess, My cheering spell have been very effective, on days I feel bad, I cast it and I’m not sad anymore! Ahaha...I’m not a mess, I’m not a mess, I’m not! I can demonstrate my stable condition to...”
At that point, her speech and thought process was incoherent, but if a sharp mind can make it through her motor mouth and utterly deranged sentences, one could make out that fact that she used cheering spells merely to escape sadness, and her dissociative scatterbrainess and presumed stupidity to escape blame and reality. And it could be partly justified, a cowardly and emotional mind surely couldn’t take a terrifying professor or the incident from many months ago.

Kit was interrupted by a voice coming from behind. "And what rumors might those be, Mr Myre?" Professor McGonagall with a scowl on her face looked at the three students. "Is this something the faculty has to take up on one of the meetings?"

Kit jumped with a yelp at Professor McGonagall's sudden appearance. Turning to look at her in surprise, he'd calm down seconds later, but that wouldn't stop him from glancing down at the floor, Halloween night coming to mind and making him feel a bit uncomfortable. "U-um, well, th-they were about Headmistress Umbridge being seen outside, as part of a routine of her's to go on walks..." he muttered.

Meet me outside in the courtyard and go get something warm on you. I am for the time being still your teacher, and I wont have anyone catch a cold on my watch. Now go, I'll explain more once we meet up again."

"A-A mission? To save this school?" Juno blinked in surprise when McGonagall appeared before them so suddenly, taken aback a little. The sixth year felt somewhat reluctant on the matter, wondering what a bunch of students like them could do to help with McGonagall. After all, shouldn't this be some sort of staff matter? Even if Umbridge had been acting strangely and it may have called for all this secrecy, but that was another thing. Would they manage to be kept from danger?

Well, only one way to find out. After all, Juno had to admit, after months of waiting around and feeling helpless to the strange happenings around Hogwarts, it seemed like this one opportunity to do something about all of it was almost too good to pass up.

With an almost resigned breath, Juno gave a nod, not nearly as enthusiastic as Rio, but still determined like she was when she had considered that this was all part of deliberate machinations on some unsavory individual's part. And after all, it was her job to punish mischievous rabble-rousers.

"The courtyard... I understand. If that'll be it, then let us be on our way," she said, giving pause briefly to see if Kit wanted in on it, before taking off once he made his reply.
