Wolf / Sekiro

@VaultGroup

Wolf gave Maeve a side-glance. He figured it didn't need to be said that he was a wielder of blades, but the girl also seemed to have the misconception that swordsmen are required to fight alongside each other. Only Samurai were the type to do that, but he was a shinobi, so he preferred working alone, if possible.

It seemed that two people had confused him with a Samurai.

"...I cannot say," he replied passively, not being one for much conversation.

"..."

The ninja put his hand on the hilt of his sword for a moment after Cagliostro flicked Billy's forehead, but didn't go as far as to draw it again.

Maeve circled the warrior, daggers lining the insides of her magic coat. She licked her lips slightly at the thought of selling his weapon for sacks of gold or maybe, even training to use it herself? First, shehad to know what it did and what made it so special. Surely it held more than sentimental value to the man. Everyone had a price. Maeve just neded to figure out what Sekiro's was.

"What say we have us a little demonstration, no? I'd like to see just why it is so special to you."

"What say we have us a little demonstration, no? I'd like to see just why it is so special to you."

The shinobi stared at Maeve as she continued to exhibit strange behavior. His hand remained on the hilt of his katana out of caution, despite the group's supposed alliance with each other. He could see that something malicious was going through her head, but he wasn't sure what it was. Noticing that she had a multitude of knives on her person, he assumed that she had some kind of affinity for blades, given her earlier statement. If that was the case, it was likely that she wanted his sword, for indeed, it was unique. It was property of the Divine Heir, and it was capable of deflecting lightning.

"That is not necessary,"
he proclaimed, his eyebrows furrowing, "why is it you must know?"

Billy felt the forehead flick and just shrug. It hurt a little, but the pain would go away. " It's fine my dude. I deserved that for hitting her with the lightning. Though, speaking of lighting, I'm going to step back for a second since I want to go to the vault," he said, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes. " SHAZAM!" He waited as the lightning would come and strike him. In the place of the 14 year old man was a grown man- though the exact age was hard to pinpoint. " Just call me Zaptain America. I'm still working on a hero name for this form."
Wolf's eyes seemed to widen very slightly as lightning came down and turned the boy into a muscular man. Again, he had his hand on the hilt of his sword, albeit subconsciously. "Immortality...?" he asked with a hardened expression, which seemed like a vague and out-of-place question, but in truth, he was recognizing a similarity between Shazam and Genichiro, a samurai who had gained immortality through the Lightning of Tomoe. Wolf and Kuro had been working to sever immortality back home, so seeing something like this naturally triggered a danger response.

"I haven't seen you in a while, Clark Kent," Cagliostro gritted, not even bothering to sweeten her voice, "how's life treating you?"

Cagliostro turned to Riesbyfe, returning to a sweeter voice. "Yes ma'am~. No fighting between us~. Assuming he doesn't."

@Josh @Ver

"How's life? Couldn't be better."

Clark bit his tongue as agree to Riesbyfe's pleads, just nodding in agreement. Turning away slightly, Clark froze as he heard a familiar voice.

As Shirou joined the group, Clark couldn't even look at him. Clark thought he was over it; that the pain and sorrow was gone. The wound on his soul was healing. And just like that? It was all coming back The pain and the anger Clark felt towards the Shirou; the man who killed the woman he loved, rushed back into the man of steel's mind. Fighting his feelings back, Clark just stood there for a bit, seething. After a long pause, Clark responded.

"How are you doing, Shirou?"

"I don't even remember what I thought about you, but I guess it seems like none of us particularly got along so well back then. As they say, with friends like these..." Riesbyfe sighed as Shirou also joined the fray. She'd probably have a stronger reaction to the so-called reunion if she even remembered Shirou better, but it couldn't be helped.

"Even Cullen was rude every now and then at his best. Are the young folks really just ruder in general these days?" She went on, threatening to go off-topic at that point, but knew well enough to stop there.

Murky as her memory was, even the former Holy Knight could feel the tension arise when Clark saw Shirou appear. There was definitely some history there; it was only by hearsay that Riesbyfe knew what happened, as the memory of the event itself was one of many blurred moments in her mind, but even so, she instinctively gripped Clark's arm tightly from behind, as if to verbally remind him to keep civilized, no matter what, trying her best to be subtle about it all the while.

@Josh @Kaykay @Crow @Observatory

"Ah, the usual. It was getting boring as fuck just before I got here, but it ain't all been such a bad time," Shirou replied to Cagliostro and Clark at the same time, looking first at Cagliostro then Clark. "How 'bout your ends?"

Despite the obvious tension between himself and Clark, Shirou himself was about as relaxed as could be. Uncannily so, even. He kept his hands in his pockets and the same old cocky smile on his face as always. It wasn't like he was proud of what he'd done to Clark's girl, and by extension Clark himself, but he had no regrets either. In the end, their values just didn't match. And knowing that, he didn't really feel the need to be on edge. Wasn't like he'd be bringing her back from the dead anyway. What was done was done, though he doubted it was so simple for Clark himself.

"Peril is acceptable, but over coffee would have been preferable."

Clark smirked at the knight as he laughed, his smile slightly faded as he searched for his next words.

"Maybe now isn't the right time, but how you memory? I wasn't sure if you wanted to see me, but you know...."

Clark eyed Cagliostro.

"She pushed my hand."

Good, everyone was getting along now, it seemed. Jack was certainly relieved; that meant their job keeping Revan from any more mayhem. It even seemed that some people knew each other, too, which was also good. Jack couldn't help but smile, feeling more confident now.

Also...did the kid just turn into a grown man? What in tarnation...

Though as the newcomer tried making smalltalk, Jack decided to humor him. "Headin' down the the stronghold, myself. Protectin' the good folk of Asgard's an important part of the mission." He paused. "Pardon, forgot to introduce myself. Name's Jack."

Reiner nodded, offering a salute as Jack introduced himself.

"Reiner Braun. I'm a conscript." He said, smiling again as Jack mentioned where he was going.

"Of course. Lives are important... That's why I'm here." He stopped a little, putting a hand to his chin.

Considering what he heard about the Revanchist, he realized they might also need a hand at the front lines, defending against the invading forces at the Observatory.

Realizing his titan form probably wouldn't benefit civilians that much, he eventually came to the logical conclusion; the Observatory would give him the most room to use his titan form... Thus, he would be the most usefull there.

"I'm headed to the Observatory myself, but... Good luck out there Jack, those Civilians are counting on you." He said, tapping his shoulder with his fist.

While it wasn't an outright salute like the one he performed before, it was a motion he adopted out of habbit. To signify his dedication to his duty, but with that... He was off, headed towards the general directiion the Observatory would be in, freezing in his tracks as he noticed a somewhat familiar face in the group headed there too.

"C-...Crap! It's that magician girl again..." He muttered under his breath.

While he continued to follow the group headed to the observatory, he seemed to keep his distance, remembering how Cagliostro tussled with Billy earlier.

"Try to stay awake for Asgards sake, alright?"

She walked up to Cosmo and gave him a pat on the head. "No one following you yet little doggy? Perhaps I'll accompany you? I do love a little secret after all."

"Do not patronize Cosmo,"
The dog responded. "Cosmo perfectly fine in doink mission by himself if need be."

Reimu Hakurei - Prolouge
Guess life always had a way of coming full circle, huh?

And that full circle lead to Reimu Hakurei to a talking dog assigning job details to defend this other place called Asgard or something. Apparently, gods of another country lived here. It was strange, the gods never did play dice. A few years ago, Reimu never thought anything more then living through the days carefreely, thoughtlessly with no duties. Ever since that incident with the multiverse, Reimu had told herself to not meddle in affairs she had no control over. If it didn't happen in Gensokyo, she didn't care. Even if they did, she had no obligation to respond.

After all, Reimu was no longer the Hakurei Shrine Maiden.

It was nearly funny, how a year without her had nearly caused Gensokyo to disappear, the barrier fading without the blood of the Hakurei line. Yukari, in desperation likely, must have gotten that new shrine maiden. That shrine maiden's short, purple hair in a ponytail reminded her of someone....but Reimu couldn't care less to try and remember her childhood. All she knew was that the girl was a branch family.

That was all in the past now. Reimu had enlisted, and the present was what she was going to focus on. She was going to fix this fragmented reality poisoned by despair and discord. She had to restore balance to the multiverse. End of story.
---------
Reimu briefly considered her choices. First things first, she had no desire to follow this Cosmo dog into the unknown. But asides from that, Reimu had no preference, everything was just the same, but in different locations. They all included work, and defending something.

So Reimu closed her eyes, held her gohei close to her. She walked, letting instinct and destiny carry her to her destination. Life was always this way, bending to Reimu's advantage without any input from her end. Attacks moved away from her, enemies were defeated before the fight even began, and someone would always be there to carry her if she fell.

Without even noticing, Reimu noticed she had began floating. Flying or walking, it made no difference to her. She opened her eyes, and saw that she had joined the group who would defend the vault. That made sense somehow. All Reimu used to do was defend a building containing a single great, powerful spirit, after all.

Reimu had no further interest in small talk or arguments. She was only here to defend the multiverse, after all. She couldn't care any less about the fellow soldiers. She looked aloof, looking at her gohei while introducing herself bluntly.

Milla took in the men and women who had offered to join her at the vault and felt as if they possibly could have done with a few more additions to their ranks. Probably more concerning though was the fact that some of them seemed to find contention among the others. Milla figured that was not entirely surprising, considering this ragtag bunch was put together in the last minute by the Coalition.
