So even if the final traitor was caught, they were still in danger... lovely. That was certainly not the news he wished to return to, but he would have to accept it with a somber expression, his hand moving away from the blade, "I know of Wakaba's reasoning... but Clark's? Why did he come after any of us?" He then paused a moment and looked around the group, shaking his head after a moment, "Ah, apologies... we should focus upon the task at hand for the moment. I believe this is supposed to be a maze, yes?"

"Yes, I happened to notice as much on the island when many of them interrupted an attempt at obtaining an orb," Jin responded with a deadpan expression, not seeming to exhibit much emotion over the deaths, and why should he? He had already learned of it, and they were all already on their way back, so why worry? "In any case, as far as I know, that should have been the last killing. No one should remain on the island, and our benefactor seemed to believe that their gift of an orb to us would be the last one we needed."

“Just fire arrows, won’t do anythin-“
Reimu started at the man who just came. Who was he and where did he come from? She just stared at him the entire time as he took out the slimes, with fire arrows none less. Crossing her arms, The shrine maiden walked along with the group.

“What do want to hear about first? The recent events is that we found the last traitors and a good amount of our comrades are dead, we have to defeat this Ganondorf very soon as well. Well, How long have you been dead for?”

“I see. Jeez, that complicates things..”
Reimu understood that Jin came back, so most others should as well, but it was still kind of strange. A dead man asking about stuff was even more stranger. Still, she couldn’t turn down an answer so simple.
“Ellie, Nad-Shiko, Wakaba and that Superman guy. The first three were forced into it, and the other guy killed for the uh, hell of it.”

“Now I’ve got a question for you. Have you met anyone else who was dead like you? What did you do to go back to the land of the living?”

Zora's Domain was truly beautiful, an outdoor pavillion made of silver and crystal. There wasn't all that much to do here, but it certainly could be enjoyed.

Places of Interest:

Marot Mart: The General Store in town that specializes in trout, rice, and arrows. There's also a weapons workshop in case weapons break.

Seabed Inn: The local inn has a cooking pot available in case you feel like making a meal.

Statue: There's a statue of a beautiful Zora woman in the center of the domain. Maybe someone can tell you more about her?

King Dorephan: The Zora king, Dorephan, resides at the top of the domain. Feel free to speak with him if so desired.

Pools: Though Zora sleep in these waters, feel free to swim around in the small pools, or in the bigger lake surrounding the domain.

Day Six

“Return”

Reimu could buy Chillfin Trout or Sizzlefin Trout for 24 Rupees, or Hylian Rice for 16 Rupees.

---

With the day finally over, it was time for everyone to get some sleep...or at least try to, considering everything that had transpired. Taking residence in either inn, the curtain fell on the second to last night here in Hyrule.

---

He can’t sleep.

He tosses and turns, trying to get comfortable, but he can’t. It’s not because of the bed, really; if anything, this Rito feather bed is the comfiest thing he’s ever slept on. Even being outside, the air here is crisp and pleasant, and he’s not too cold or too hot. No...the reason he can’t get any sleep is because of the thoughts plaguing his mind. They haven’t been this bad until now.

All his life, he’s been convinced he’ll do great. He’d explore the great unknown, be a hero to thousands, if not millions of people. Sure, he may have done some questionable things to get there (forging documents usually is frowned upon), but he was on his way, training diligently in order to make his dreams reality. That got him scouted to a phenomenal school, and eventually brought him here, to the Coalition, where he was going to do more than he’d ever dreamed. Saving whole worlds? Universes of people who he could help, who would praise him...God, this was all he could have hoped for.

And then...it all came crashing down.

He failed his first mission. Or did he succeed? He doesn’t know. He was too angry at the time to remember what he did. He left her behind, and who knows how she’s been this whole time. He’s been trapped here in Hyrule, while this Fiamma guy has all the time in the world to cause as much chaos and havoc as he wants. He didn’t do anything last year, apparently, except rush into the wrong votes and ruin things for everyone. And today, nine people had died. Nine! And he didn’t do anything!

He isn’t sure what he’s feeling now. Guilt? Guilt at staying on the sidelines so often, when he should be doing more. He’s a man, and not just that-he’s a member of the Coalition. He needs to take charge of the situation, damn it! There’s got to be something he can do. There’s got to be something-

…!

He hears a noise. Sitting up, he looks outside the inn. Someone is walking towards them, their weapon drawn. It’s as if they’re sleepwalking, their movements are so hypnotic. Just then, he remembers-Ganondorf said there was one more person among them that was killing people. No way...it couldn’t be! How? How could-

No. Wait. Things come to mind, little things here and there that seemed like they meant nothing, but really proved it all. God, how could he have been so blind?! The final killer has been in front of him this whole time!

He can’t care less about who their intended victim is. He can’t care because he won’t let there be another victim. It ends tonight. He gets up out of bed, takes his bow, and aims a Shock Arrow. Once they’re paralyzed, he plans to charge them and take them down.

Finally, it’s time to set things right.

---

Sleep took a while to get to, but finally, you were all able to sleep fairly well. The inns provide breakfast, and you all decide to meet on Revali’s Landing.

“Good morning, everyone,” Dell started. “How are you all-”

“Excuse me.” Kass stepped forward, a folded cloth in his wings. “I found this early in the morning, caught in a tree. I believe it belongs to one of you?”

Margreet walked to the Rito, picking up the purple item. Unfolding it, the galaxy print inside it was unmistakable. “Ah, Kaito must have lost his jacket! Here you go, Kaito!”

She looked around the group. “Uh...Kaito?”

Kaito Momota was nowhere to be seen on the landing. Immediately there was a sense that something had gone very, very wrong. “Shit!” Dell looked out over the mountainside. “Meeting postponed! We need to find Kaito!”

Everyone scoured Rito Village-the lake, the mountain, the fishing spots, the stable...but the Ultimate Astronaut was gone. “Damn it! Not another one…”

“It’s...well, it’s not all right, but I’m sure we’ll find him,” Margreet said. “In the meantime... we need to hurry.”

“...you’re right.” Dell turned to the group. “We kept today’s plans a secret in order to outsmart Caster and his ninjas. The fact that they turned up yesterday was not good, and we can’t afford them meddling today.”

“And what exactly are we doing today?” Zelda asked.

“...a lot. First off, I need to go to Akkala Tech Lab in order to pick up a flare for tomorrow. That’s the signal we’re using for the Divine Beasts to attack. On top of that, I’m gonna see about getting you guys some Ancient Weapons, since they take Guardians on really well-and believe me, there’ll be more than enough of those in Hyrule Castle.”

“And I’m going to Korok Forest,” Margreet said. “Zelda, I’ll need you to come with me.”

“Me? Well, all right…” Zelda seemed a bit disappointed to not visit the laboratory.

Margreet smiled at the others. “I will need a bit of help today, as well. We both will, with what we're doing.”

There were your options for the day. Wherever you went, it was clear something important was happening, and then finally, tomorrow, would be the culmination of it all.

This morning also brought a sense of urgency to the island. With the group all staying behind for the final orb, it was time to get a move on. “Our plan is simple,” Lee said. “Whoever thinks they can be quiet sneaks up onto the cyclops and steals the orb. The rest of us are first on standby in case the thing wakes up, then we attack the camp up by the pedestal. Once we get all that done, we get into that Shrine and go home. Got it? Good. As Jin drank the elixir, he would feel no different; however, he would make far less sound than before, and draw far less attention to himself. Ultimately, his stealthiness had increased.

"Good. Now, everyone follow me." He led them all to the ditch where the monster slept. Even asleep, the creature was gigantic, and the orb around its neck would be tricky to reclaim. "Everyome, be prepared to back up Jin in case something goes wrong. As for you, Jin...don't screw up."

The Great Phenomenon

The Great Phenomenon is a term coined by Dell Honne to describe a very peculiar event in Hyrule’s history. A Ganondorf from another world, with the power of the Triforce and power from the right hand of the crimson moon, came to this world. He fully reincarnated Calamity Ganon and sent him into another world, and pulled random individuals from other worlds into this world. His goal was to run an ancient ritual that would manufacture Malice, which is created as negative emotions reach all-time highs. Both Calamity Ganon and Ganondorf used Malice as a source of power; however Ganondorf was the only one who could actually control and manipulate it, as Calamity Ganon was corrupted by it in his quest for power.

This ritual required a group of random participants from other worlds to suddenly be dragged into a new world and be systematically killed off by select traitors within the group. The resulting Malice levels would reach incredible highs as fear, anger, confusion, and despair took over. In this ritual, five people died, two of them mercenaries chosen by Princess Zelda to defend the group. Only one, Margreet Zelle, survived, and due to her powers given by Hylia, the other participants survived, as well.

The timeline of events for the Great Phenomenon are as follows:

-Participants are pulled into Hyrule, arriving in different shrines. Ganondorf contacts his Traitors, Zelda contacts her Agents. Zelda tells them telepathically to arrive in Kakariko Village. There are Sheikah Slates in the shrines they use to teleport there. They meet Impa and Link, and Impa informs them all that to go home, they must free the Divine Beasts of Malice and defeat Ganondorf.

-The group travels first to Zora’s Domain, which is plagued by heavy rainfall. After stealing Shock Arrows from a Lynel on Polymus Point, they work together with Prince Sidon to free Divine Beast Vah Ruta of Waterblight Ganon. The first victim is found inside Vah Ruta. One of the Mercenaries, a young girl named Efi Oladele. Her death is the beginning of the group’s downfall, as no one is able to determine who killed her.

-Next, the group goes to Gerudo Town, the men disguising as women in order to get inside. Master Kohga, leader of the Yiga Clan is killed in order to reclaim the Lightning Helm, an artifact treasured by the Gerudo, which Lady Riju uses to avoid lightning strikes by Vah Naboris. Thunderblight Ganon is defeated, and Vah Naboris is purified. The next victim is a young woman named Oichi. Again, her murder goes unsolved.

-The group then travels to Goron City, where they rescue Goron Yunobo from the abandoned north mine. He helps them lower Vah Rudania's defenses, as Goron Elder Bludo has back problems. The group battles Fireblight Ganon, and purifies Vah Rudania. Brook is the next victim, and his death goes unsolved as the others.

- Finally, they arrive at Rito Village, where they find Teba at the Flight Range. Earning his trust by completing an archery trial, he assists them in taking on Vah Medoh, where they defeat Windblight Ganon. Mantis is murdered by a Traitor, and Lee, another Agent, is killed by Caster, who is not a Traitor. He confesses and is voted out for it, but as it turns out, he had betrayed the group in order to serve Ganondorf.

- Ganondorf suddenly takes over, due to the increase in Malice levels brought by these deaths, and drags everyone into Hyrule Castle. Now more powerful than ever, he readies to destroy everyone, but Margreet and the Divine Beasts attack, only to find Ganondorf completely unharmed. He throws Margreet into a pool of Malice, and is about to kill the others, when suddenly Link awakens powers given to him by Zelda, who has been drained of her powers. Link now seaks Ganondorf inside the castle as everyone escapes with Zelda in tow. Fighting off monsters and Malice, the group is heavily weary and injured, but makes it to Hyrule Castle Town, where Dell Honne is blown up by a Guardian, just one of the several Caster has waiting. He and an ambush from the Yiga Clan readies to kill everyone, but Mergreet returns just in time, purifying the Guardians of their Malice. In order to allow the group to heal safely away from Ganondorf and his armies, Margreet sends them to different shrines, which have been fitted with the healing technology of the Shrine of Resurrection.

Ultimately, due to despair and inability to cooperate, the Great Phenomenon ended in complete failure. The only way we will all get out of this alive is to work together. I'm going to make sure that once everyone wakes up, I tell them everything I've been working on, and maybe knowing to work together will help us this time.

The inside of the lab is small, and seems more like a library than a lab, with all the books around. There is an unusual statue in the center of the room, and Dell is busy talking to a little man. There's also a woman perusing the bookshelves.

Up on the nearby hill, there were blue goblins and giant electric slime monsters. "Jin! Wait for me!!" Brook rushed up the hill, sword at the ready. "I want to get out of here! You get that orb onto the pedestal, I'll hold them off!" Turning his head to the side, he muttered, "Far better than fighting that giant..." He started fighting with the goblins, while one slime went towards the Peters and the other towards Jin!

Meanwhile, down below, the cyclops made a large swing at the ground, hoping to knock into the group. "Everyone! Hurry, get to the shrine!!"

Kokkoro, after using her spear to make a skewer of Goblin bodies, uses the sharp tip to stab the slime aiming for the younger Peter. She would then proceed to swing her spear around, tossing the monster bodies onto other monsters that were attempting to strike.

The arrow to the eye caused the cyclops to let out a pained shriek, and it fell on its rear as it covered its eye in pain. It was in a perfect position to be attacked, but that wasn't the goal here.

"I'll take that!" Brook grabbed the orb that had been left behind, and placed it onto the pedestal. The orb vanished into blue light, and the pedestal itself turned from orange to blue. Now only one thing left to do...

"Everyone! Get into that shrine! It's time to get off this island for good!" Lee was more than happy to take off running.

Brook opened his Paraglider and sailed off towards the shrine. "YOOOOOOHOHOHOHO!!!"

Jin and Peter were also free to move now...if they wanted to, of course.

While the young boy was stubborn at first, Enu eventually caved in to Lee's attempts to dissuade him from engaging the large creature in an outright battle. The rest, was a bit of a blur, from a night making camp, to making a friend... And finally, toppling an Cyclops. For the most part, he seemed to keep to himself, providing support the best that he could from the back lines with arrows... Until finally, the finish line seemed to be in sight; the shrine that they had arrived at in the first place. As soon as he was sure the others were okay, he then headed towards the shrine quickly, intending to see where this was all leading.

Perhaps he could finally re-unite with the others... Wherever they were now that he had died, or at least... So he thought anyways.
