Alethea had been focused on the ghost-like child. Like, hyper-focused. So imagine her surprise when some white substance came seemingly out of nowhere, engulfing her companion's arms and legs. It was... string?! A net?! No no, it looked like... webbing? Hearing Tyvin's shout, she turned her gaze back into the room, and gasped at the sight of a massive, grotesque spider charging toward them. H-how had they not seen that, indeed! It was enormous! She turned, planning on helping Tyvin, for the safety of her companion was her top priority, but a knife was already slicing through the webbing, the hand attached to it invisible. Alright, looked like the spider was up to her, for now. "Don't you let Tyvin get hurt, she's injured!" Alethea called to the invisible girl as she ran to meet the spider. She chucked the handful of powder she had at it, hoping to irritate some of its eyes, and unsheathed two daggers from her belt, one still caked with blood, as poisoned quills sprouted silently from her coat. She kept moving, knowing from experience that a stationary target is a dead target. Swiping at the spider several times with the daggers, she tried to draw its attention away from the doorway.
