Drackana Darastrix

Artist and Monster Maker
Welcome to the official RP for Monsagir! To start off the RP please feel free to start your introduction post after your character sheet has been approved in the character sheet forum.

You may use the starting post I will make here or you may create your own, though the only way to join Monsagir is to go through a Rainbow Portal made, somehow, by the Rainbow Sea. You can have the portal show up anywhere in your character's world, but the only way to Monsagir is with a Rainbow Portal.

So for this RP, I will basically be playing the world around you and describe things to you as you make your posts. I will be playing any monsters anyone may encounter and any dangerous terrain you may find yourself in. For reference on what Monsagir looks like you can look through my post of The World of Monsagir. It shows most everything about Monsagir that I have written out for it.

============================================

A portal stands before you. Rainbow in color, and just about your size, as it looks just big enough for you and/or your companions to step through. You are not sure where this portal leads but you know its not of your world. You can barely make out a scene behind the portal and you can hear sounds from creatures you have never heard before. This portal is new, unknown, and mysterious. Will you walk through to the other side, or will you simply watch the portal slip away right in front of you?

In a thunderous noise, a petaur burst through the thick forest and galloped in the clearing, closely followed by a loud laughter. The shimmering portal suddenly appeared in front of the beast which had the difficult task of choosing between a ravenous troll and a magical portal. Wise beyond its years, the petaur chose a more prudent approach and veered dramatically to avoid the magical portal. Its voluminous rump brushed on the rainbow object, sending tickles down its spine and making it hoot in surprise. Looking back, the mammoth-like creature saw the troll happily sprinting after it, and discovered unknown reserves of energy to start running again, away from both the mad troll and the colourful thingy.

The Mahogamoth must have been in a good mood, as the troll got completely hypnotised by the strange portal and momentarily forgot about the petaur and all the meat it represented - quite a rare feat! Olol, the troll, stopped dead in its tracks, his three flies catching up to him, and scratched his head as he approached the apparition. What could that be? Some more Hyerule magic? Those pesky Hyerule wisemen were such a annoyance with their ritual, and had barely no meat on their scraggy bones! The reddish beast sniffed the air and looked around suspiciously. The air didn't smell like fear, as it usually did when humans were nearby. It was calm. A bit too much calm. He didn't like it much. And that made him hungry. Where was that petaur? Said petaur had not waited on the troll and was now galloping further and further away, promising to eat less and do more sports next year to get in better shape.

Well, that was his snack gone. What now? Oh, right! The shiny door. Olol put a finger to it and giggled from the tingle. It looked fun, but Olol didn't trust the thing. Nuhuh. As he was about to leave, his fly Buzz, always the reckless one, flew through the portal and disappeared.

BUZZZZ!!!

Without a second hesitation, the troll Olol delicately grabbed Minnie and Teddy in his huge clawed hands and jumped through the portal after the poor Buzz.

As the troll travelled through the portal, he was being thrown out into a new world. Around him was raging, swirling water of a whirlpool, though unlike normal whirlpools, this one shot out the troll instead of sucking him further into the Rainbow Sea. As the troll was shot out, it appears the creature was being shot out toward the beaches around the Forest of Drovanis. The beach was massive and had pale white sand that shimmered with tiny bits of rainbow sand from the crystals from the Rainbow Sea. A few hundred yards from the beach were a few sparce trees and greenery that quickly shifted into a massive jungle/forest looking area. The trees were massive and had large twists and knots while the flowers and shrubs of the seemed far too large to be normal. Everything here seemed to be mostly supersized in the area and it was obvious this place was made for massive creatures.

Flying around the Rainbow Sea and the Beach were a few odd-looking birds with four wings and seemingly made partially of crystal on their spine and belly. They had medium length tails and a few much long feathers that seemed to be quite flashy. They travelled in what appeared to be groups of 3-5 and were about 3-6 feet tall and their wings were twice as large.

Sadly it seems the orc creature would not quite make it to the beach and was heading for the shallow waters of the Rainbow Sea just off the shore. Below the troll were various sized fish swimming in the shallow water of the Rainbow Sea. They were nothing like normal fish though, they had too many eyes or too many fins. Some of them seemed to have odd bright coloring, though it seemed to match the rainbow colors of the sea just fine. Most of the fish were rather harmless magic eaters and seemed to be dashing away from where the troll was now heading.

Olol whizzed and swirled in the glittering whirlpool, shooting through what looked dangerously like coloured water. He felt a bit like in a wet-dream a unicorn of a horny unicorn. Never trusting one of these creatures, he laid down carefully Buzz, Minnie and crazy Teddy on his shoulder and looked warily around, making sure not to touch anything. He shot out of the coloured jizz, flying high, and soon spotted a white beach and green trees. He passed by some weird birds that had far too many wings and tried imitating their flapping as they avoided his furry mass. Flying was fun! Whatever dream this was, he liked it, and roared with laughter, scattering the birdies.

As things tended to do, the troll stopped going up and started going down. Flying was suddenly much less fun. To his horror, it seemed that Olol was not going to gracefully land on the beach but crash in the chromatic water! He flapped his arms as hard as he could to give him just that little extra push, but his weight was pulling him down far too fast. The desperate projectile called on to the birds for help, but they just looked at him curiously. There was nothing to be done.

No no no nononono NOOOO!!!!

With a loud splash, Olol fell in the Rainbow Sea, his flies abandoning ship before the impact. The feeling of being submerged in liquid, and his complete inexperience in being in this situation utterly panicked the troll who thrashed, screamed and cried as he stood in the waist-high water, certain of his impending doom.

As the troll splashed into the shallows of the Rainbow Sea, all of the fish seed to have scattered to a few yards away. They were frightened but a few of them seemed interested in this new creature within the water and stood watching it quietly. The Rainbow Sea's water was harmless to most, for it was simply water with a high amount of magic imbued within it. Generally speaking it has no affect on non-magical creatures and is generally best used by the creatures of Monsagir.

So far, there were no monsters of Monsagir patrolling the area today and had not been drawn to the splashing and noise made by the troll. The beach around the new creature was silent and it seems the birds that had been flying around the area had turned tail and flew off and away from this new thing within their land. They appeared to be heading back toward the Rainbow Sea and heading to what seemed to be a misty volcano island that sat far in the distance. The island was difficult to see as there seemed to be a thick blanket of mist and steam around it.

Past the beach, the forest/jungle area was like a quiet hum in the background. Soft sounds of strange insect and muted calls of unseen beasts could be heard. The sounds of these unseen monsters seed far away and would not prove to be a danger for the troll for now. The sounds of supposed insects were quiet, like a humm of a song sung quietly from a distance. The calls were familiar, yet new and sounded more like songs then just normal insect noises.

During the late Sengoku period, Nobunaga Tsuna was a young empress in Kyoto, Japan. She was inside a castle that seemed ominous from the outside. Inside though, it felt safe and relieving. For this reason, Tsuna stood at a balcony, viewing the vast expanse of land around her. 'I finally did it... I united Japan.' Her breath quickened and tears were gathering in her eyes. The thought of Japan being one, gave her immense amounts of relief and shock.

She wiped her tears and slowly went back inside her room. To her surprise, at the center of her room stands a weird, colorful object. 'What's this? Is this some sort of object that can cause mass destruction?' She investigated it, acting like the smartest detective in the world. "Guards! Come here this instant!" She shouted for her guards. But to her remorse, nobody seemed to have heard her call. 'I might be dreaming this... Yeah, I'm not crazy, Am I?" Terror struck her spine and her eyes considerably widened, to the thought of her united Japan being a delusion.

While fussing over this thought of hers, she noticed figures, moving inside the strange object. 'It looks like another world... what could it be?' She immediately wore her battle robes and sheathed her samurai, determined to prove that it wasn't all a delusion. She went back a few feet and started to sprint after the colorful, portal. At the last few seconds, she jumped and stabbed towards the portal, entering it. After entering the portal, it whizzed and disappeared out of Kyoto's plane of existence, bringing Tsuna wth it.

At the last few seconds, she jumped and stabbed towards the portal, entering it. After entering the portal, it whizzed and disappeared out of Kyoto's plane of existence, bringing Tsuna wth it.

The portal The human jumped through appeared to be above the water of the Rainbow Sea, about 15 feet above the rainbow tinted water. Below the water sat tons of Rainbow colored crystals that seemed to reflect the light and make the color of the constantly change. A few small-medium sized, brightly colored fish seem to patrol the area below. These fish seem odd though and have too may fins or eyes to be regular fish. As the shadow from the human above them comes close, many of the smaller fish immediately begin to scatter.

Nearby a small group of odd looking, four winged bird seemed to be passing nearby the portal. They were seemingly made of fire and had crystals upon their bellies, spines, feet and beak. They were about 3-5 feet tall and had twice the wingspan. Their tails were about as long as their bodies and had 3-5 longer and far flashier feathers on their tails as well.

Not far from where the portal was dropping the human, a massive beach stood only a few hundred yards away. The sand was pale, almost white, and had a bit of a rainbow shimmer to it as the sun reflected off tiny pieces of the crystals from the Rainbow Sea. Just beyond the beach was large rolling hills and a few tall stone pillars, and all of it was covered in a mass of beautiful, multi-colored flowers. Some of them were massive in size while others were tiny, almost normal sized. A soft wind seemed to blowing from the Rainbow Sea and out toward the large field of flowers.

After going through the portal, Tsuna found herself falling towards a vast expanse of a colorful sea. "Ahhhh!" She shouted for a few seconds. She landed on the water's surface with a really loud splash. 'Kami, that hurt!" was in her mind while she was going deeper in the sea. She noticed colorful crystals below the water. Her interest piqued, she swam towards one.

While inspecting the beauty of the crystals, she found a colorful fish hiding in it. 'You're a weird fish, aren't you?' She let it go and started to go above the surface and take a breath. What she found was awfully breathtaking. Everything was simply, beautiful. Combined with the crystals underneath the waters, the sea looks like a place from heaven. 'It's amazing...' while she is taking the view, she suddenly realized that she was in a bad situation.

"Where am I?!" She shouted while frantically lookimg for help. 'Wait... I gotta think this through' she made up her mind and scanned her surroundings, looking for dry land. She found a beach that stood only a few hundred yards away. 'Damn, even the beaches look beautiful, what is this place?' she had this thought while swimming towards the beach.

Nothing seemed all that keen on answering the human's question. As she got too close to the fish many of them took off in all directions, worried she might be a predator. As she began swimming to shore though, quite a few seemed to be following behind her, curious as to what exactly what she was. The birds that had been flying above the portal saw the strange new creature and flew down to inspect it closer. The birds were careful to keep their distance but it was clear that everything seemed to be quite interested in what this new thing was.

Upon the beach there appeared to be no life. The sands had a few large crystals in the sand from the sea but other then that most of the beach was just sand. A few odd looking footprints could be seen farther up the beach though. Odd prints that could be mistaken for something like a branch dragging through the sand if it weren't for the fact that each stoke in the sand was almost the same. The prints were thin but left long lines in the sand, sort of like a walking stick might look. The prints lead into the massive field of flowers and it appears that whatever walked though here had delicate enough feet to not disturb too many of the flowers, making it difficult to track within the field.

If the human were to take a 360 look around her, she would see some mountains in the distance to her left. The mountains were odd as it appeared that some of the mountain was floating in the air. Around it one could see that most of the top of the mountain was stone and earth and as it went down it slowly became engulfed in an odd forest/jungle.

Behind her was the Rainbow Sea, and just barely seen was a odd cloud sitting on the horizon of the body of water. If she took a moment longer she would be able to barely make out what looked like a mountain or volcano within the odd cloud. Looking once more they would realize it was mist or steam that made the odd cloud on the horizon that hid the island from sight.

To her right, it would seem to just be more flower fields. The rolling hills only being broken up by the appearance of a few massive stone pillars that were covered in roots and vines that were also covered in numerous flowers. Some of these flowers were only a few inches in diameter while some of the other flowers seemed to be up to 5 feet in diameter. The scent would be quite potent but would be pleasing to most creatures. The winds from the Rainbow sea would help shift cleaner air into the fields but as one got closer the scent of flowers would soon overpower the smell of the magic water of the Rainbow Sea.

Sherak had been having a fun time exploring the jungles of some nameless world, he had been studying many of the creatures there, many of them matching up with Earth's creatures, but in different ways. This world had much more oxygen laden atmosphere, with the majority of the planet resembling Earth back in the prehistoric era. He was making mental notes of everything, that way he could find someone to write it down for him later. He was making his way through the jungle, some creatures watching him closely, others judging if he was food or not.
He himself was about done with his little expedition when he came across a glowing rainbow portal, being that he traveled through dimensions, he recognized it as a portal to another dimension. Blinking a couple times, his tail swished back and forth, he was eager, but cautious, he had no idea where it might lead, but at the same time he knew it might be a fascinating place waiting to be explored and charted.
He shook his head and let out a roar before charging through the portal, it tickled at he passed through.

AAAAHhh... Ah. Ah...

Slowly, Olol came back to his senses and spotted the dumb fishes looking at him, their mouths opening and closing in unison. He gave them an angry look and smashed his cudgel at them, spraying water around. It touched his face! It touched his face!

PETRAAAAA!!!

Unfortunately his wife wasn't there, but the troll still had barely enough sense to make a run for it and sprinted to the nearby beach. The massive creature let himself fall on his knees, looking down at his wet, sagging fur. Oh no...

Buzz? Teddy? Minnie!

Thankfully, the three flies soon appeared, but he could sense their reproaches and judgement. He needed a good, dirty stuff to roll in. Looking around, there was either the sand or the jungle, where a melodic sound rose sneakily. If there was sound, there was food.

With a confident step made less impressive by the water dripping from his red fur, Olol made his way to the dense forest, all his senses on the lookout.

The Rainbow Portal had surprising led the new creature to a large crystal sitting near a massive beach. The sand was quite pale, almost white in color, and had a rainbow sheen to it that looked quite similar to the massive crystal the feline now stood upon. The massive crystal seemed just large enough for the feline to stand upon and was about 100 meters away from the shore.

Just a little ways from the beach were large rolling hills that were only broken up by massive stone pillars. Everything in the area seemed to be drowning in various kinds of flowers, some as small as one of the felines toes, while others were as wide as the tiger is tall. The massive pillars were covered in the flowers as well but more vines and roots could be seen clinging to the stones sides.

As the feline stood upon the large crystal, a cool breeze rushed past them and out toward the flower field. The wind was strong but just enough to cause most of the flowers to rustle in the wind and blow away the rather pungent floral smell the field gave off. The winds also cause a crash of a wave upon the crystal island. Below the new creature was a vast sea of rainbow tinted water. This water was pale and almost clear, which allowed the feline to see that much f this sea's floor was covered in crystals similar to the one it now stood upon. Within the water were various forms of fish, though none of them looking like your typical fish. many of them having too many fins or too many eyes, as well as having oddly bright and colorful scales. A group of them had gathered under the new creature, curious to this new thing in their world.

As the troll approached the forest it was clear that many of the massive plants and monstrous trees were not made for anything of his kind. Many of the plants had large leaves that pulled into a hole in its center where a large collection of fresh water stood. Some plants here had massive flowers sticking out of a nest of leaves and blades of grass. The flowers were massive and strangely seemed to be closed at the moment, even though sunlight was clearly shinning down upon them. The forest was covered in various shapes of leaves from the treetops above as well as a great many fungal looking plants also seemed to dwell upon the floor. Some of these almost-mushroom-like plants were almost as large as the troll's torso. Much of this place was also covered in various vines, though it seemed they vines stuck mostly to the trees and were coming down from the branches above. Many of these vines were thick sturdy looking vines that also held large leaves and flowers upon them.

Off in the distance the song of the supposed insects still seemed rather far from the beach. Should one search though, it was clear that something may have walked through here recently. A large footprint was set in the dirt under one of the massive leaves of some nearby shrubs. The footprint was almost a foot in length and was pressed pretty deep into the dirt, indicating a rather heavy creature. The print wasnt fresh, probably a few hours old, but it mean something was prowling around here...

The troll's confident step quickly wavered as he approached the trees. He had first thought it was his feverish imagination, but no, it was indeed there: most of these leaves were deadly trap filled with water! A careless step and he would doused in it!

Taking his proverbial courage in his hands he stepped in the foliage with extreme care, each foot slowly and carefully placed in a safe zone. The constant buzzing of his flies around him gave him the strength and the nerves.

Paying so much attention to where he was stepping, Olol quickly spotted a deep, large footprint. Back in his homeworld the troll didn't have any predators and such a print could only mean one thing: food! His stomach gurgled in excitement.

The print was a couple of hours old though, and through this damn wet forest it was a risky business. Olol looked around to find an easier way to reach his target and noticed the vines. They looked sturdy enough and should allow him an easy climb, if he was careful.

Keeping a baleful eye on the treacherous leaves, Olol climbed as high as he could to have a better view of his surroundings, looking for anything alive.

Tsuna arrived at the beach's shoreline. She felt her muscles ache from her frantic swimming. Her wet robes stuck against her body in an uncomfortable way. Her breathing was quick and uneven.

'I can't think properly... I need to rest.' She scanned her surroundings and found land filled with flower fields. The fields looked relaxing and she smelled the sweet scent that came from it. She picked herself up and moved towards the fields with slow, careful steps.

Upon arrival, she laid herself besides a stone pillar covered in roots and flowers. The feeling of soft flowers brushing against her was calming. The sweet, enchanting scent of the flowers were relaxing. She allowed herself a moment to calm down and relax.

After a quick nap, she shakily stood up and contemplated her situation. 'I'm in one piece, which is great news.' She let out a sigh of relief. "But I'm alone... I should look for somebody... Who should I look for?" She walked around the flower fields, amazed by the flowers that were 5 feet tall.

While she was moving around her surroundings, she found an odd-looking group of birds, watching her from a distance. 'I should try talking to them, They might be smart, who knows?' She waved at the birds slowly. Then she shouted, "Hey there, Birdies!"

Sherak looked around at his environment, taking in everything for study. The taste and smell of magic hung faintly in the air laced in the smells of the flowers. The water shimmered and hummed with magic, flexing his muscles he dove into the water.
The feeling of the water was similar to the feel of the portal, it tickled him faintly, he surfaced back from the water and swam to shore. The strange fish followed him after regathering, curious about them. Sherak made it to the soft sandy shore And shook his body, water flinging off hi body in many directions, oddly enough he didn't feel cold from the wetness, in fact he actually felt quite warm and content.
He was going to turn and study the fish when he heard a voice from the fields of flowers, ' hey there birdies!'
He cocked his head and headed toward the sound of the voice, curious that anyone that spoke a human tongue would be here.
He walked a few minutes and saw a human female resting against one of those stone pillars. He crouched low and slink near her, studying her as he approached, her fur brushing softly against the flower stalks.

The birds seemed to tilt their head curiously, obviously not knowing anything the creature before them had said. Two of the birds began to chatter at each other before one of them flew closer to the girl but kept about 50 feet between them. It seemed to be quite nervous of landing on the ground and instead used the air flowing from the Rainbow Sea to hover in front of the new creature. These birds seemed to be made of living fire and seemed a bit out of place in these rolling fields of flowers. Their backs, bellies, feet, and beaks were made of dark colored crystal and there were four eyes upon its head. The eyes had no pupils but it seemed two were focused on the girl while the other two seemed to be watching the flowers below them cautiously.

The other 2 birds stuck close by but stayed much father from the new creature and they too seemed to be made the same way as the first and were also keeping a close eye on the flowers below them. Both of them seemed most cautious of the larger flowers littering the fields and kept the most distance from them.

(Feel free to have your characters interact a bit as you two are in the same area. Should you guys begin exploring more i will respond and explain what you would see. :) )

The vines took his weight with no problems it seemed. A few spare leaves floated down from above from the movement of the vine but other then that nothing else seemed to happen. As the troll got a higher vantage point, much of the trolls vision was blocked by the amount of trees and shrubs in the forest but it there was a trail of something large having moved through the underbrush of the area. The line of travel seemed to be moving toward the right of the troll and deeper into the forest.

Not too terrible far, if one looked hard enough, there seemed to be an odd shape sitting on the end of one of the knots on one of the winding trees. The shape didnt seem entirely natural but enough that a first glance of the area would make it quite difficult to see. It was almost almond shaped and seemed similar to a bug trying to hide in plain sight but far larger than any normal bug might have been. It seemed to be about 3 feet long and about a foot and a half wide. Nothing else could really be seen from the distance the troll currently was at and would need to get closer to make out any more details.

”Just one more finishing touch… There we go.” The hairdresser bent over to retrieve his equipment back to the carriage next to him. He was a young man in his twenties with swept back dark hair and stylish clothes. He was very good looking and always smiling. Needless to say, Vanessa enjoyed letting him do her hair. Now Vanessa was sitting in front of the mirror silently adoring her hairdo. It wasn’t anything vastly different from previous: just the same kind of topknot she always had. But Vanessa liked to get it occasionally done by professionals. She touched her hair gently. Over the years, Vanessa has learned to do her hair by herself, but the hairdresser always got it fuller and prettier. ”Thank you”, Vanessa said smiling. ”Well, it is my job” the young man said with a laugh as he rolled the carriage over. Vanessa got up and paid for the service.
Vanessa walked out of the salon into a cool breeze. She raised her scarf slightly to cover her nose and started trotting down the street. She took her favourite route through one of the few parks in her town. As winter was arriving, all the trees were covered in frost and a shallow snow cover lay atop the ground. Vanessa slowed down taking in all the beauty she could. She took a deep breath of the cold air closing her eyes for a moment. Still, the bright winter sun made its way through her shut eyelids. Vanessa opened her eyes again to see where she was heading. As Vanessa walked across the park, she noticed something gleaming behind a tree to her far left. Frowning she made her way over to the tree to have a closer look.
Right next to the tree was a spiralling glow, unlike anything Vanessa had seen before. The glow was very different from the gleam of snow. It was glowing in every colour known to humans, where snow only shone back cool, nearly white tones. Vanessa looked around her. It was an early Sunday morning and there was no one to be seen. With wide eyes Vanessa examined the oddness in front of her. It was her size and in the colourful whirls Vanessa was sure she saw something. She could think of only one thing that it could be. A portal. But where did it lead? Vanessa weighed her situation as she was used to doing. Her curiosity was telling her to go in, but Vanessa was concerned of what kind of land might be beyond all those colours. And she had to make it home before her parents got worried. But as the portal had been here this long and didn’t seem fading away, why would it disappear if she was to go in? There were many risks that concerned Vanessa, but curiosity took the better of her. She’d regret for the rest of her life not going in when she had the chance.
Quickly Vanessa gathered herself, took a quick look around to see no one was watching, and stepped briskly into the whirl of colours and visions.

(Ok finally I got this done. Sorry for being a lazy butt. =P)

As the human had stepped into the portal, the magic within it pulled her through and tossed her out of a small whirlpool of rainbow tinted water. The water seemed to be sucking in the water but it seemed more like the water was making the portal then the water was falling or being drawn into it. The force of the pull from the portal cause the human to be tossed out of it and toward a pale sandy beach. The human wouldnt quite make it to the beach and seemed to be heading toward the shallow part of the beach. The water below her was almost clear if it werent for its rainbow tint, and within the water were small and medium sized crystals littering the sea floor. Swimming around said crystals and sand were odd looking fish, some of them having too many fins or too many eyes to be considered normal. All of them also had brightly colored scales that matched well with the various crystals and tinted water.

Beyond the beach were thin, tall palm-like trees with sparce bushes and vines covering the sandy and grassy area. A few sparce stones also littered the area and large crystals, similar to the ones found within the sea, littered the area. They seemed to have been ripped out and thrown onto the beach, not looking at all like they may have grown there naturally. There was a warm, calm breeze blowing over the area, ruffling the tops of the odd palm trees.
