Stahlhiem: College of Magic (Rebooted!) IC

Coro- Stahlheim

coro smiles softly "Trying to play matchmaker? I guess we might be able to be friends but nothing more i am very picky. So by all means feel free to charm her i wont try anything."

Simon - Stahlheim

Simon laughed "What makes you think I haven't plied my charms on her already?" he gave a shrewd smile

Simon - Stahlheim

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Simon said with a sly smile

Master Volker - 1st Year Classroom

"Correct, but incorrect. While mages can definitely grow the plants, the plants themselves make a prime target for insects and parasites. For more information about the famine that happened due to a situation like this, take your questions to the librarian. Perhaps he can get you squabblers prepared to answer some questions before the day begins." Volker added. The Metal Mage takes out what looks like a burnted silver pocketwatch and checks the time for a second before closing the watch. "Ok students. It's now time for you to leave me be so I can get some real work done. Before you go however..." Volker walks behind the desk and pulls out a stack of papers. "Here are forms for you to sign in order to go on a very fun trip to the Kingdom of Britain. I do encourage you to do. I rather not babysit teenagers more then I need to." He said before using his magic to open up the door.

Harrison looks at Kodner as he stands up. "I'll get you a sheet yeah? Just wait up for me. I'd rather not accidentally break into another classroom and embarrass myself." He says to him, grinning a little bit as he began to slowly shuffle through the row of desks he was sitting at, his size making it hard for him to make it through without knocking over desks and students. 'Why are these things packed so close together?' He worries mentally as he finally reaches the end of the row.

Making his way down towards the teacher, careful to not damage anything, Harrison grabs the sheets from the teacher's desk via reaching over the heads of the other students to grab two of them, before making his way back up the classroom to join Kodner at the door, passing him a sheet. "Right. Where to man?"

Simon and Coro - Stahlheim

Coro- Stahlheim

"Yes i would like to know that is why i asked"

Simon was really enjoying himself now "Well since you asked me nicely..." he looked like he was genuinely pondering it "Nope, You'll just have to ask her when you meet her" then a thought entered Simon's head "So I might be playing match maker but I really should have asked you first if you already had somebody... Which knowing you the answer is probably a big NOPE all caps am I right?

Coro pouted "you're so mean... and speaking of a relationship...." Coro try's to put on the most serious expression she can. "There was this one time at a bar I met this beautiful girl and we have been talking since then it's going great..." Coro struggled to keep up her facade and eventually gave up. "yea no there is no one. Not a single person has met my standards so far."

Simon thought that was amusing but gave his own retort "Hah, I wasn't buying that shit for a second. Maybe if you went "Well there was this beautiful girl I met in a bar and I just kept creepily staring at her and turning red." Simon did his worst Coro impression "Then she walked up to me and I stuttered like a broken music box but she felt so bad that he gave me pity sex." Simon laughed loudly "Wait Wait Wait I'm not done" he cleared his throat then continued "She hasn't really been talking to me recently and she's been saying she only did what she did because she was drunk and now she regrets every moment of it and for me to leave her alone" Simon paused for a very long second "Also she said I was awful in the sack"

Coro stopped walking and was now dead silent not saying a word just giving Simon a death glare but Simon just made the largest shit eating grin he'd ever made in his life. He'd also now stopped and just stared at her with that gigantic smirk before speaking up again "I'm just joking you know that right" he said only letting his smile down ever so slightly "I mean no matter how cute you are I doubt anybody would be willing to pay the fine for sleeping with a minor" and the death mage just busted out laughing like the complete asshole that he was.

Time Skip - A month later

With little difficulty, the 1st and 2nd class were gathered and mobilized in a little over dozen carriages drawn by groomed horses and escorted by Mounted Void Born. Around the same time, the invasion force that was was stationed at Stahlhiem had finally finished recruiting, gathering and resupplying and thus began heading out south while the students were heading to the north-west. The carriage traveled along well known trade routes and roads and after a week of travelling they reached the nearest Britannian town, a minor settlement known as Lundwig, a farming town that is ruled by a minor noble known as Lundmann.

The students will be set up in a camp in a light forest near Lundwig, just an hour walk from the town. Accompanying them are two squads of Void Born and two Master Mages, Master Heinrich, the 2nd Year Teacher, and Master Eponia Haran, the College Healer and Apothecary. Currently the students are pitching up tents and setting up campfires for the long week ahead.

Simon - Camp?

Simon was excited about the field trip but he could never shake the feeling of slightly fear and anxiety after Ashbore. He carried with him a large leather backpack bulging with items and dragged a large wooden chest to where he was going to set up his tent. The death mage wore his usual bulky gray robe However if somebody were to listen closely they could hear the slight clank of glass whenever he walked quickly or made large movements. Simon wanted to enjoy himself but he'd be damned if he'd let Ashbore happen again although he really hoped nobody searched his chest or his backpack.... or anywhere beneath his robe because he was afraid he might be labeled a terrorist or have a hard time explaining all the vials he had not to mention the dead mummified rats.

The death mage got to work on setting up his tent. Although he wanted to be able to use a large tent he could walk around in, Simon was already carrying way too many things and so decided to just set up a simple tan eight by four foot tent which still left him with a lot of room. The area inside the tent was mostly occupied by the chest Simon carried and a comfortable looking bedroll

Harrison - Camp
Harrison was excited. No, beyond excited. He was bloody ecstatic! A camping trip! Finally, a place for him to actually feel useful! The last month and a bit had been hard. While he had had no problem with the magical application side of schooling, he still wasn't used to all of this higher education crap. He had no idea what a lot of the terms meant, constantly answered incorrectly due to misreading the tiny inflections in questions and had spent a large majority of his time at school lost.

It was only thanks to Kodner that he had probably managed to survive. If the Verdantkin (As he recently learnt they were called) hadn't been there to make sure he got where he needed to be, he would most likely have already been eaten by some sort of demon, blown up, poisoned or a variety of other methods of grizzly death.

Looking around himself, Harrison quickly decided to set up the tent he had been given under where two trees crossed, their canopy providing him extra protection from any sort of rain that may occur. Setting up didn't take long so Harrison set about gathering the materials for fire, as well as any herbs and edible plants that were nearby. Once he had gotten enough rocks, wood and dried grass Harrison made his campfire just a bit out from where his tent was stationed, so that the canopy of the trees didn't keep the smoke from rising. After that it was simply a matter of getting a fellow year one fire mage to light his fire, allowing Harrison to start preparing some of the food he found.

coro-camp

Coro had set up her tent next to simons altho she wouldn't be using it much because she would be sleeping in one of the many trees in the forest as she felt more comfortable in doing so. Coro decided to go sight seeing and wander the forest but made sure not to stray to far.

Master Eponia, Master Heinrich - Camp

While the students put up their tents and readied the camp site, Master Eponia stands up on a box and rings a cow bell to get the students attention. "Students! I am glad that you are here in my home country today. You are free to explore the forest and the nearby town as much as you want, but there are obviously some rules you must abide by before you step outside of the camps perimeter. First off, you must respect the town's laws and inhabitants. Any, and I mean ANY action you take might cause distrust for between both our nations. Secondly you must tell me, Master Heinrich or one of the Void Born where you are going so we can keep track of you anywhere you go. Finally you must be back before the earliest moon. Breaking any of these rules will result in either a slap on the wrist, a stern talking, public humiliation or being sent back to the College for an appropriate punishment. That is all. Please continue with your business."

The Master Mage steps off his box before continuing helping pitch the tents.

----------

The Master Shadow Mage, though blind, keeps watch over the camp as he sits and rests on the stump of a fallen tree after a long trek to the camp site. The old man feels rather off-putting. It was as if the entire land was alive and watching. Something was watching the camp, but he can't find out who or where they are, save for everywhere at once. He needed more information before he alerts the camp. Better not start trouble when it isn't needed.

Simon - Camp

After setting up his camp Simon decided to go visit the local lord but he had no idea who that was or what kind of etiquette was normal in the town. The death mage decided to go to master Eponia for information "Good afternoon Master" he greeted the Master life mage with a smile "I'd just like to say I'm so excited about being in such a wonderful and different place. Can you tell me about the local town and the Lord? I'd love to meet them if that's Ok. I'm sure they're wonderful and as a representative of Stahlheim I'd love to build a trusting and friendly relationship with them especially if they'd need any help as most important people often do"

Eponia - Camp

The Master Mage thought of Simon going off to visit the local noble but the idea was rather bad to him. Britannians Nobles in general doesn't have high opinions of people who lives in Border Empire, and even less so for Border Mages. Still he wasn't one to stifle a want of knowledge. "While I don't know for what reason or....why you call yourself a representative of Stahlhiem, I believe the Headmaster would hold such a position and maybe one of the Master Mages if he isn't around, as for the lord and town, the town is simply a foresting and farming town run by the Lord Lundmann. He's nothing much to speak about, minor Noble, born into his title and now carries the burden of keeping his ranking within society or risk losing everything. From what I know from people and my own research he has two sons both of age and looking for wives of their own, and a daughter whom he's trying to wed to someone of higher ranking then him."

Simon - Camp

Simon gave a tight-lipped smile "Well wouldn't you say all students represent their school in some degree? I'll look around town first to see if there is anything that might be needed to help such a hard working lord" He started to walk away with a wave "Thank you master Eponia"

Coro - forest

Coro had wondered deeper into the forest and was now following a small stream aimlessly not really having a goal in mind just enjoying her time in the forest.

Harrison sat in the banks of the small stream he had found, sitting cross legged and hunched over as he concentrated upon maintaining the frozen ice in one specific area in the middle of the flowing stream. Frowning in concentration, he hold both hands out, trying to concentrate upon the task. He could feel it. He just needed a little more control and -

Snap

Harrison springs up in reaction to the sound of a snapped twig, whirling around in the direction the sound came from, coming to stare at what seemed to be a girl with... a... tail? Waitaminute, wasn't this the chick he saw on his first day here? It had to be! Look at the jackal-like ears! "Oh, it's just you." Harrison says to the Jackal lady, breathing a sigh of relief. "Thought a panther or some sort of tiger had gotten the jump on me." He breathes, trying to still his racing heart.
