The Wider Galaxy

Emilia smiled up at Captain Pan "Well..i haven't made any new things, maybe something has been done in a different wing but not here, sorry" Emila said as he gave a smile "I know that some of my fellow scientists are working on other methods of faster than light travel and some are working on self repairing droids"

"Self-Repairing droids? Even we haven't come close to that. We have a automatic droid repair system, but not a function for self-repair on actual droids. Hmm. That's certainly something to bring back I'm sure. Ahem." He exclaimed as he received a message. "Oh my apologies but I must depart. My fleet has been called back. Perhaps we shall meet again?" He exclaimed before approaching one of the defence droids. "Mind escorting me back to the main hanger, Droid?"

@The King Of Rats
I detected a ship flying up into the atmosphere and the ship contacts me. "You claim you are an AI? interesting...." It asks me. I replied in kind. "Yes I am an advance intelligence. I wish to speak with leaders of the world for trade relations." I said. "I mean no harm, unless you mean harm to me and I have many technologies that you might be interested in.

@Widowmaker

One of the planet's locals walks out of the brush and began to speak. In their native language I could not understand what they were saying. In response, I tried to communicate through mimicry. Through one of my warriors, I repeated what the local had said, but in my own voice. "Welcome to our planet. My name is Raynar Magnus, the proud leader of the Magumians; a race of researches and underground inhabitants. I see you've already been acquainted with our lovely underground home."

"Escort protocol=engaged..destination=docking area" The droid said before turning to escort Captain Pan out of the room "Hope to see you again!" Captain Cyrus said as he waved, he was followed by Emilia "Yeah, thanks for coming by!"

"Trade and relations? so be it. You will be granted access to our docking area" The motherly voice vanished and the ship flew off, back towards the planet.

Captain Cyrus heard M.O.T.H.E.R's voice through his earpiece, stating that there where more visitors they she wanted him to see, after all, the King was busy. Captain Cyrus waited by the docks for the other new ship to arrive.

He immediately crossed his arms at that repeat. "Okay then. You are a race of copycats. Sigh... And they don't even speak the basic language." He exclaimed, with a sigh.

"Thank you for having us!" He exclaimed as he disappeared with the Droid back to the hanger. After arriving there, he thanked the droid and embarked onto the shuttle. "Alright boys, we're leaving. Begin take-off protocols and prepare for lift-off. We're heading back to the fleet then heading back home."
"Yes Sir."

@The King Of Rats

"Excellent. I shall send down one of my transports right away." I told the voice and one of my caravans flew towards the location of the assigned docking bay Upon arriving I dropped of 10 Warriors and 2 Destroyers and 4 Crawlers to the surface to meet whoever was to meet me at the docking area.

@Widowmaker

This was rather embarrassing, I could not easily speak to the locals as their crust prevented me from accessing any signals from below. Still I must keep trying. As I try to access their network, I continue attempting to communicate, this time speaking in a simple binary function to see if they would understand. "I mean no harm. I am here to speak with your leaders of trade routes and relations."

Captain Cyrus watched as the large droids came onto the docks. He instinctively backed off as his eyes widened, after all these robots where huge, especially to a ten year old boy. In response Cyrus's defense droids took a step forward, not taking out their weapons, simply placing themselves in front of the Captain, who looked rather intimidated

"You're looking at them." He exclaimed, no longer crossing his arms. "I handle any and all negotiations as the leader of the Magumians. I would hire advisers and people that would specialise in this fields, but in my experience they prove to be easily manipulated, power hungry or just straight up unreliable." He exclaimed, pulling out a data pad. "We specialise in Science; creating weapons and other types of objects and interactions that can be used for good or bad purposes. Because of this, we prefer to remain neutral in any and all wars and conflicts."

After departing the caravan my forms were approached by a juvenile and some armed unmanned droids. The droids were clearly a defense force as they walked forward to protect the juvenile organic. I spoke. "Hello Juvenile. I do not mean you any harm. My name is Uca. I am an advanced artificial intellegece here to speak with your planetary leaders."

@Widowmaker

"Ah I see. So you are known as the Magumians then?" It would seem that my binary talk is working enough. At least for the moment. I should attempt to learn their language when I have the chance. "I am Uca. I am an advanced artificial intelligence. I am here to speak of trade and diplomatic relations with you."

"O-ok, mister, um, Uca" Captain Cyrus said, inching a bit closer to the droid, his own personal defense droids letting him pass "That means you'll want to talk to the King, or maybe...mother" he said, the last word almost an inaudible whisper.

"Indeed. We've recently stayed within the depths of our planet here and thanks to our scientific advancements, we've managed to hallow out the entire planet aside from it's core, and turn it into a underground paradise. We have many lush forests, overgrown jungles and even a completely inhabited Ocean in here. All created by the power of Science."

@The King Of Rats

The juvenile walks up closer to me. I was rather surprised it wasn't afraid, or showed fear when walking up to my military forms, or at least it didn't show any. The juvenile mentioned that I should talk to the king, but also mentioned something about a mother, although it whispered it. I pressed that particular subject. "You mentioned a mother juvenile. Who is this mother? Is it your maternal guardian?"

@Widowmaker

These Magumians were rather interesting. They remind me of my creators to a point, being rather scientifically minded in nature which I assume these ones are. "That is rather pleasing to hear. My creators were like you. They were a scientifically driven people who often times conducted many experiments because they can. They were good people though in the long run, as I am sure you are."

"At times, we have had incidents where people have disagreed with my investments in the science field, but we have always prospered in the long run. We only wish to create, not destroy. Unfortunately we have had the odd case where a group of us have broken from society, even resulted in stealing weapons and setting up pirate camps in the underground caves, and making random drops on people. We were lucky to reach you before they did."

"Kinda.." Cyrus said, in a sheepish and somewhat apprehensive tone "She's....our Mother" Cyrus wasn't sure how to explain it "She only talks to the real important people" Cyrus said, knowing that having to explain what little he remembered about Mothers origins would bring up memories of the original people of the planet.

Uca:
During my expedition on the planet, I was ambushed by some of the planet's natives. They were rather formidable warriors for such primitive organics. At first their copper weaponry did nothing to the durasteel chassis of my military forms, but they out numbered me 5 to one. My crawlers were destroyed the quickest, as they were not allowed the time to set up. My warriors were a close second as the local's brute strength were able to pull them apart rather easily.

I managed to fend off 20 of of the locals, but they eventually managed to destroy the procession before I could order a retreat. It was evident that these primitives were hostile. Still they proved to be formidable warriors. One of them ripped of the head of one of my ruine Destroyers. Luckily I could still control the disabled form even if decapitated, or at least see and speak through it. The local asked me. "What are you?" and I replied.

"Greetings. I am Uca. I am pleased to meet you. You have proven to be quite the formidable warriors, to be able to destroy my forms, even if you are primitive organics."

Sslath:
When sound emitted from the head, and in his language as well, Sslath's fingers tightened out of sheer surprise, his strength denting the metal as he resisted the urge to hurl the animal out of his tent.

"You speak our language. How does an animal do this? Were you sent by The Red? To test us?" He questions it, turning over go see where the odd veins of the animal lay in the open air from where one of his warriors had ripped the head out with his hands.

What sort of... not-normal was this? To be able to speak in such a state? "How do you speak? Where is your mouth?"

Uca:
"Animal? I am no animal. In fact I am the farthest thing from an animal. I am an advanced intelligence." I told the local. "Now to answer your questions, I understand your language through the use of powerful scanning technology from orbit, listening in on hundreds of thousands of locals and making sense of your language after some difficult processing and analyzing. I do not know who this Red is and I am not here to test you. I am here to establish peaceful diplomatic relations with the locals of this planet. As to speak in this state and why I have no mouth, it is because I do not need a mouth to speak, as I do not eat. I speak through microphones embedded in the heads of my many forms. Are there any more questions that you need to ask me?"

Uca:
"No I am not an animal. I do not need to eat or sleep and I believe it would be very unlikely for me to teach you how I am able to do so." I told the local. I did not have the means, well I probably did at one point, or even now and just haven't found it, but I was unwilling to give them such power. The power to change their bodies and very genome at will to live for centuries or survive for months without the need to eat, sleet or even breathe. They needed to evolve and they needed to advance before I could trust them with anything better then what I am willing to give now.

"The Red? The Red is unfamiliar to me. I assume it is some sort of deity to you and your people?" I asked.

Sslath:
Sslath tilts his head in confusion. "You... are not an animal? But you can talk without a head. You can talk in general. How do you exist?" He asks it, only mildly disappointed at the... at Uca's answer.

Their question about The Red confused him the most however. "What is a dee-i-ty? The Red is The Red. The teacher, the challenger. It watches over us and trains us against any and all threats. We have beaten every challenger here, and thought you were our next. Are you not a creation of The Red? If not... why are you here? Why have you come to the Nest?"

Uca:
The local seems to not understand his explanations. It was to be expected, but it would make interactions with this race rather difficult. Still such formidable warriors might prove useful allies if he could get them to a decent technological age.

"I do not need a head to speak, if I do not wish. My primary core exists beyond this planet. Where I truly exist is so far away that I do not suspect you can completely understand." I told the local. "As for the Red. A deity is a being or object commonly worshiped by primitive organics. If you believe that the Red exists, I will not challenge you. But I confirm that yes I am not a creation of the Red. I existed many thousands of years before you were even born and I will exist long after you have died. As for why I am here, I only wish to share my knowledge. I wanted to show you basic sciences such as medicine and agriculture. Speed up your development essentially."

Sslath:
Sslath ignored the first half of Uca's explanation, simply not understanding what they meant. Except the head part, he... partially understood that. They seem to be able to speak... somewhere else. This was not them, merely a... part. Like a Koir nest.

What grabbed his attention though was Uca's offer of whatever Si-ence and A-gri-cool-ter was. If he could gain anything from this being, he might be able to figure out its secrets and, if he understood it right, have his people leave the Nest to find their actual foe.

Nodding a bit, the Skraulen agrees. "I want to know what you have to offer, in the name of finding our fight. The final opponent. What do you need from us?"

Uca:
"Simple. I wish to mine your planet. In return I shall prove you with basic sciences to help this planet progress. But I must ask, what do you mine by the final opponent?" I asked. The way the local said that could mean it is merely some superstition or it could also be an actual enemy that threatens these people. Either way the 'final opponent' might be rather troublesome if it turns out this species has a heavy focus on warfare.

Sslath:
Sslath nodded, understanding Uca's confusion. After all, they were not from this planet, so what if they didn't know something the animals did. "The final opponent will be the gift, the final trial that the Red will place before us. The final enemy we will rip apart and crush beneath our tails as we become the ultimate warriors. It is evident now that you are not this opponent, but are instead the key to it. With your help, we could reach this enemy." He explains, before moving on to the troubling part of Uca's statement.

Sslath frowned. Now 'mining his planet' was something he understood. It would mean no more copper, no more... anything they were working for. They needed that metal. He had to try and strike some sort of a deal

"You can mine the nest, and we will not challenge you. But in exchange, you teach us everything, as well as share some of the materials." He demands, looking directly into the 'eyes' of the head.

Uca:
The final opponent would seem to be a religious construct then. That was quite interesting, but it means that this race is rather drawn towards warfare. I would need to play my figurative hands carefully or this endeavor would be for naught. The local told me that I can mine the nest, meaning the home or the planet I do not know, but I would need to teach them everything I know.

"We are in agreement then. I am happy we can reach this conclusion. I shall teach you knowledge I believe you are ready for at your command, and I shall be in a remote location mining the minerals I need to wage my own war against my own enemy."

Sslath:
Nodding happily, Sslath was about to leave the head to its work. Then it mentioned its enemy. A being sich as this, with an enemy... It would not be the first time the Red had had their people team up to defeat an adversary.

"This... enemy of yours. Tell me about it."

Uca:
The meeting was going rather nicely, at least as nice as as I could hope for. Then the local asked me about my enemy. A topic that I had little to go off of, but had enough to tell him the general basics.

"My enemy is one that could destroy you in but a week. My creators were masters of technology with an empire spanning across thousands of planets, but they were caught unaware by an enemy that was as silent as the grave and came like a storm. I was built to help fight them, but something went wrong and I went dormant until relatively recently. In any case, I shall give you technology that you ask for. Do you wish for technology for domestic use, military use or a bit of both?"
————————————
At the being's question, Sslath eventually chose for both. Military would be good, but as it stands if they could increase how long people lived, more children could be made. More warriors for the tribe.

Looking down at Uca, he nods once at the machine in confirmation. "Send your drones when you are ready to teach us. I eagerly await you. Now, i must inform my people." He tells the machine, before crushing the head between his hands.

It was good to have an ally, but they must always know that you are mighty, so that they do not get any ideas.

@Widowmaker

"I see. These pirates are a rather large nuisance to you I assume? Do you require assistance in hunting down these pirates? If it could help build trust with you and I, then I assume it might be a fruitful venture." I told them.

@The King Of Rats

"Then would I be considered an important guest? I assume you have not yet had any contact with any outsiders as of yet and I also assume your mother might wish to speak on her own behalf instead of a juvenile. So is it possible for me to speak with her? I feel rather awkward speaking with a juvenile though a military form."

"Um...i guess so.." Captain Cyrus said, awkwardly waiting around before his earpiece lit up "Alright, Mother, love you" Cyrus chirped into his earpiece. "Follow" one of the droids said, as it lead Uca down through the towns of playing children until they reached a large white building "Enter"

"I see. These pirates are a rather large nuisance to you I assume? Do you require assistance in hunting down these pirates? If it could help build trust with you and I, then I assume it might be a fruitful venture." I told them.

"That is very kind of you to lend your assistance but we have it under control. As much as they are harming our race, they have kept a code to not kill anyone they jump on. We've always had no losses against our own people, thank goodness. They are merely just living their own lives outside our government, scavenging to survive. It allows us to study that aspect of life and adapt it into creating artificial life."

@The King Of Rats

I follow the droids through towns upon towns of juveniles. This planet certainly is stranger and is getting stranger. Are there no adults? Did they all die? Was there a terrible virus that killed off the adults? Or where these juveniles were the adults? Again this was certainly strange. I was led to a large white building and the droid told me to enter, which I did at least for curiosity's sake. What shall be inside I know not, but hopefully there could be some answer to this curious and confusing planet.

@Widowmaker

"That is good to hear at the very least. Now speaking of artificial intelligence, I do not believe I have not properly introduced myself. My name is Uca. I am an advanced artificial intelligence created over 80000 years ago. I am speaking to you through this body of my creator's design and can speak through billions of many other forms simultaneously." I said. This was me bragging a bit on behalf of my creators, but I believe it was well deserved as they did create the closest thing to perfection.

The building was high tech, clean white walls that where adorned with pictures, many of which had adults in them. However it seemed that after a certain amount of time...there where only children in the pictures, the same children many times over. Stranger still where the dates on the pictures, years over and the children hadn't seemed to have changed. After a short time a doorway opened and the silhouette of an adult woman walked through, however, this was no real woman. Her white metallic skin was polished perfectly, and her long hair of cables dangled freely.

"Greetings, i would imagine you have questions?" she spoke in a motherly voice, rather calming and comforting.

"An 80,000 year old AI?!" He was quite shocked to hear such a statement from the visitors. "Wow. You must forgive my curiosity but we must study you for science. If you are indeed 80,000 years old, the technology you could help us create would be a very large jump on the tech tree!"
