Main Event Calamitous Reprise

[Crow]

Guy never realized just how many people were around this town. Just like the people whom he'd met over the hill, let alone the first people he'd ever met to begin with, one could easily assume that all of them were... out of place, whether judging by their mannerisms, their clothes, or just the way they carried themselves. More and more, he began wondering just how far away he was from Kimlasca or any other recognizable land. Surely not so far if he could recognize slimes and hostile octopus going after him, but still, something didn't seem right.

Well, there wasn't enough time in the world to sit around pondering and trying to piece it together. If Luke were here, he'd probably say something that would kick Guy into gear (akin to a bratty child becoming anxious, but all the same), so the young man opted to huddle toward the cooking pot where many others, including his new prospective roommate, a... distinctive little chef-looking man named "Teruteru," were gathered. May as well get to know everyone. What could be the harm in it?

"A guy with long black hair and looks displeased in general? I did bump into someone who matches that description... though, unless he has a knack for punching animals in the face and saying very little, I don't think you'd be in luck, sir," Guy said to Thor, inserting himself into the conversation, before giving a two-fingered wave to him and the others.

"But I suppose I ought to introduce myself. Name's Guy! Sounds like I'm your roommate... ah, Teruteru, was it? Let's get along!" He said eagerly to the Ultimate Cook with a laid-back smile, "I don't know how I'd compare to someone with a title like Ultimate Cook, but if you'd like, I'd be happy to help with cooking for everyone! A meal is only as good as the company you have it with after all!" He continued, giving a friendly gaze toward Akane, Peter, Dell, Linkle, Fred, and Silque, along with anyone else who wanted to pop in for a bite.

Dell's eyes widened as he heard Akane. "Woah, woah, woah! A Lizalfos Tail? Trust me, you do NOT wanna cook with those...you use monster parts for elixirs, not food, unless you want something that looks like vomit." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cricket. "If you guys want me to demonstrate, hand me a monster part and I can."

Enchanted was the local clothing shop, and featured some fancy clothes. The woman working the shop looked down at Enu and gasped.

"You're so cute! Welcome in, honey!"

Enu would find a little magazine on the counter, titled "Traysi's Gossip Mill." It wouldn't have information on fishing spots, but contained the following:

"Miss Margreet of Hateno Village has recently returned from a weeklong trip to Hyrule Castle. She's a beautiful girl and an elegant dancer, but how does she hope to nab one of the many eligible bachelors of Hyrule if she keeps going on dangerous missions? Maybe Dell over in Akkala Tech Lab could be a candidate for her hand...but he's been cooped up in that place for the last two months!"

"Dark hair...displeased with everything...man, if he wasn't a guy, that'd be Maki for sure! Or Kiyo, if he was on the creepy as Hell side of things." Kaito shook his head. "Sorry, Thor. Every guy I met with long dark hair was pretty cool!"

Kaito would follow the guard Dorian to the storage. "Let's see...give me a Raw Meat and Courser Bee Honey! You want anything?"

As everyone reunited, Kokkoro approached the individuals accompanied by Yuuki.

Yuuki seemed a bit enthusiastic, as he hugged Kokkoro tightly.

"Master, what are you- oh, fufu... I missed you too, in fact, I was really worried, but it looks like you're in one piece."

All seemed to be well as Yuuki addresses both her and Yuuki's group.

"Thank you for taking care of my Master. My name is Kokkoro, and many call my Master Yuuki. Master and his new friends, meet me and my new friends..."

Well then Master, I believe I am needed elsewhere for a great meal."

Before Kokkoro could leave, Yuuki hands her some of his items.

"Master, I don't know if these make a good meal, but I will try. Why not you bond with your new friends?"

But considering all the other shit that goes on in this world, it's nice that cooking is one less thing to worry about for people."

"I'm the Ultimate Astronaut!" Kaito announced proudly, a bit more focused on his introduction than Teruteru's flirting. "And considering you guys are third years, it doesn't surprise me you don't know me. Well, it kinda does-even little children know who I am!-but I was only in school for a month before I got recruited."

Looking quite pleased, Enu used his glider as a makeshift rucksack to haul his catch back to where others were already gathered at the cooking pot... (He'd have to wash that later though).

Once he arrived, looking at the pot in anticipation, he put down the 5 fish he had snagged from the pond, and began to ponder his options, looking at what the others already at the fire were making. Really, he just wanted something to eat, one way or another.​

In any case, with the right material and craftman on hand, Paya-san, it shouldn't be too difficult to create a protective shrine."

Celica nodded. “Thank you.” she turned to the shrine. “It reminds me of the shrines back home. All it needs is some care.” she said calmly and quietly.

What the old woman said took Asher aback enough that he took a few seconds to just stare at her. "Sorry, what?" he said, placing his hands on his hips. "I don't understand. How did I even get here?"

Teruteru smiled happily while he tossed the wheat and sugar into the pot. This was far from how he normally prepared meals, but he couldn't argue with the efficiency.

"Uhh..." Teruteru furrowed his brow and turned to Kaito with a look of confusion. "I'm not sure I do, but..." He moved closer to the astronaut. Very close. "You may call me an upperclassman if you want," he said a bit lecherously.

"Argh!!" The ninja cried out at the sword attacks, but poofed away in a cloud of smoke before the arrow could hit her. Seconds later she appeared suddenly behind Dell, sickle raised to strike from behind.

"Like Hell you will!" From behind his back, Dell brandished a shield of his own, different than the others the rest of the group had.

The sickle bounced off the shield, causing the ninja to stumble back. "Now!" Dell cried.

The object, upon closer inspection, was a little pink orb with butterfly wings. If Peter was qiick enough, he could possibly grab it.

The flower, meanwhile, was a lovely pale blue with white petal tips. Incredibly pretty, and there only seemed to be two here.

"Uhh..." Dell looked over at the fish Enu held, and nodded. "Yep. That carp can be cooked with honey. The meat too, if you want."

"Sweet! But hey. Why couldn't I use honey in the cake?"

"Because honey is a stamina-increasing ingredient. It'd cancel out the strength-increasing one in the banana. If you want special effects in your food, you can only use foods that correspond with one effect."

The Drifter noted Thor's plight, silently nodding as a paltry display of sympathy for the stranger. Family is as much a weakness as it is a strength - perhaps, even more so, if you're as tied to blood as Thor. Shovel Knight did much the same, waddling over and giving Thor a sympathetic pat on the. . .uh. . .thigh.

He's short.

"Treachery is indeed a painful killer. . . I know many good knights who have fallen to the whims of greed, rage, and desperation for power," he solemnly said, conjuring memories of the Knights of the Order of No Quarter beckoning in the alluring glow of the vile Enchantress. "But, that is no reason to lose any strength. By the will of my shovel, the grief of fighting comrades mustn't cloud my will to succeed, should it? That is the lesson to be learned!"

Indeed, the pain Shovel Knight endures in battling with his own comrades - or would-be comrades - cannot hope to override his mission. The knight hopes, for Thor's sake, that the Asgardian's own will to succeed surpasses the pain of clashing shovels with his own kin. Lest he find himself losing everything. Maybe, the realization of having nothing more to lose would push him on to. . .

Ah, well, that's a bit extreme.

Shovel Knight would swiftly acquire a trio of Might Fruitcake slices, handing one to the Drifter (who graciously accepted it) and lifting one up to Thor. "Have some cake, Thor! Perhaps it will take your mind off your siblings."

"Well, he would turn into a snake, because he knows I love snakes, so I'd pick up the snake to admire it then he'd turn back into himself and be like 'BLEGH IT'S ME' and stab me."

He started to walk.

Even if the concept of a 'wizard' was something Asher could take as real, the idea of apparently being a pawn in some war did not sit right with Asher. He hadn't agreed to this, wasn't getting out of it as far as he could tell, and the worst of it was that Beskha was nowhere to be found.

"What about Ironrath?" he asked with an edge to his voice. "My family? The fucking Whitehills? I don't have time for this! I'm all they have!" His easygoing demeanor vanished as he took an angry step toward the old woman. "You know how I felt when I woke up, well, I'm feeling a bit of that right now! Why do you know all this, huh? How are you going to get me or anyone else home?"

Teruteru let Kaito's slight slide and decided he would help him out with his honey. He knew exactly what he could do and tossed in an apple and the honey.

"Erm... hmm, normally I could prepare a stunning entree with this octopus leg, but how I can use it with this pot currently eludes me..."

Regardless, Teruteru had some work to do. He grabbed a slice of the cake he'd made and walked it over quickly to Thor, Shovel Knight, and the others. "Here, take in this delectable dessert I've prepared! Strong men such as yourselves will need your strength amid all these dangers, and I can only so dutifully provide what you desire."

"Maybe you've seen my friends, possibly my brother?" He questioned hope in his voice.

"A little guy in a suit jacket? has a temper? Or a pretty young lady who drinks too much? Or my brother, he had long black hair, looks displeased?"

He is as much a threat to us as he us to you, and if we want to keep eveyone safe and return you to this, we must work together!"

Guy maintained his perplexed expression as Thor and Kokkoro tried to elaborate to him. Why did this man like snakes so much to pick them up? Since when was there an arte that allowed one to shapeshift like that? So many questions indeed, but hey, at least there was cake!

Taking his own slice, Guy nodded with a smile as that exchange seemed to end. "Thanks, Teru! Looks great!" He exclaimed, beginning to dig in. However, it didn't seem like he was given much more time to enjoy his cake before the cranky raven-haired guy popped up again, looking like he was about to pick a fight with Thor.

"Now, now. Let's not sour the mood. Maybe you're just hungry. How about some cake, hmm?" He said to Clark, holding out his plate, "Or would you prefer the honeyed apples? Nothing says good day like a good meal with good company!" He exclaimed, attempting to defuse the situation.
