"These 'metal vessels' sound like traditional tales of djinns sealed in lamps," Cagliostro adds, "only to be freed to grant three wishes, mostly with rules."

"Hey, I say what's on my mind and some people don't like that," Adam said, finding Cagliostro more intriguing by the second. He found himself blushing. What a curious development! "Uh yeah, anyway, you seem reeeeal interested in this snake friend of yours... You get up to anything interesting with him? Er-- you know, I'll listen to whatever you have to say! Sooooo~ tell me what's on your mind?"

His mind seemed too preoccupied to be intimidated.

Quite the masochist, and somewhat persistent too. Turning her head away from her conversation with Alucard, Road, and Ren for a bit and facing Adam, Cagliostro's rougher, sadistic voice resurfaces.

"Are you certain that you wish to proceed with your actions? The actions performed under what I can only presume is love at mere first sight? I cannot confirm this, but your chances of a sooner death may be enhanced."

Azura would move to block with her Naginata and push against Zeberus' weapon, trying to push him back into Domon's kick.

"Interesting," she said quietly.

"Can you handle two sparring partners at once, Zeberus?" she asked, just to make sure. If not then she would willingly back out and just practice with the sandbags instead.

"If need be, I can train with you, Lady Azura."

The young swordsman had grown tired of his time spent talking to the man known as Adam and had wandered off a few moments ago, trusting Cagliostro and the others to keep him in line. He doubted the man would behave himself, but given that the people they now worked for were less than keen on his antics nor were his "co-workers", Joshua would bet they could keep a situation under control if need be. Thus he had come to the training facility, watching from the sidelines as Domon, Azura, and Zerberus engaged in a two-on-one duel.

Zerberus was expecting this. If Azura noticed, the wind from Aero began to damage her as she was close to him. He then shoved her back as the winds begin to disappear. He looked so... calm...

"I'll be fine...but the question is.....can you keep up?"

He then flipped his blade and it looks like he was going to cast a spell again. But he wasn't smiling like last time when he was casting a spell. In fact, he looked... sad.

Miku nodded, blue eyes beginning to scan the racks of weapons at their disposal. After a few seconds, she spotted what she deemed recognizable: a few modern, standard-issue sniper rifles. She pointed, looking at Alice for confirmation. "Yeah. Those, right? The ones with the scope and all?"

Alice nodded. "That would be correct. Snipers stay away from the fight, hiding to attack when the enemy least suspects it. Of course, it requires two things above all: stealth and precision. Think you have what it takes?"

Alice nodded. "That would be correct. Snipers stay away from the fight, hiding to attack when the enemy least suspects it. Of course, it requires two things above all: stealth and precision. Think you have what it takes?"

She thought about it for a moment, considering what she was capable of. She was a machine underneath this skin and as such possessed heightened coordination and accuracy. It was what happened when you had a computer for a brain, after all. As for stealth, well... "I bet I can aim alright, and with time I could probably train myself to improve. I was made to sing, dance, make noise..." She trailed off, a small but notable smile of unseen confidence gracing her lips.

"But I can do the opposite."

"I can't say I was expecting a teamup like that~" Cagliostro says as she looks at Road warming up to Alucard. A while ago, the two were definitely not getting along. Right now, the ice was starting to break.

Cagliostro was intrigued by the familiar that lay within Ren's fan. It was a very odd force. "A djinn huh... nice to meet you, Paimon~

Speaking of familiars and partners, I believe you've all met Ouroboros~"

The red-hued serpentine beast that accompanied Cagliostro simply growls. It was the being known as Ouroboros.

"Ouroboros?" Road mused, suddenly seeming more interested in the similarly sized Cagliostro. "Interesting; in my world, I was always to understand that the mythical Ouroboros was a mythical being that devoured all things. Creatures, people, cities, countries, planets, universes, and eventually itself." Road had a small inkling to suspect that this Cagliostro was not all that she acted to be, again, much like herself.

"Of course, such a creature doesn't exist in my world, but perhaps this fella' is the origin of the stories. I was always told that nonexistent creatures were actually so dominant in other universes that their stories crept into other realities... are you and little Ouroboros prone to eating worlds?"

The princess turned to Road, her warm expression turning into a considering gaze as she saw the glint in the other's eyes. The young girl wasn't nearly as good at hiding that calculative look as she thought she was. Being a royal raised in such an environment as the imperial courts of Kou meant that Hakuei wasn't inexperienced in people's attempts at measuring her up. The Emperor and Empress's advisors were much more intimidating, in all honesty, especially that Banker that her mother liked to keep around.

Though Road reminded her more of a certain dark-haired Magi. That chaotic look in her eyes nearly matched the arrogance and boastfulness one always saw in Judal's crimson eyes.

That said, though, the princess was an expert at keeping up the genial smile that always lingered on her lips. She didn't rise to the clear bait, arching a regal brow at the girl.

"I respect Paimon too much to manifest her power at times when there is no need for it, Road. Perhaps sooner or later there will be a need."

She turned to Alucard and considered his words. "Paimon is the djinn of the ninth dungeon that my empire's Magi, Judal, raised. I am what you call a dungeon conqueror since I underwent the trials of that dungeon and succeeded, making Paimon choose me as her king vessel."

"A metal vessel is an item which a djinn - a being of great magical power - chooses to inhabit. It is an item owned by their king vessel. Should I choose to 'manifest' Paimon, my fan turns into another thing entirely,"

The conniving inside the eyes of the little Noah did not falter to the words of the woman of a nearly regal appearance. However, Road was the first to break eye contact.

--

With a mere shrug of her shoulders, the parasol that kept her elevated off the ground swayed in the air, carrying the girl a bit away for a moment, and she gazed over at the commotion in the training area, as well as the other groups before returning before the Vampire, Alucard and the other two girls.

"I'm interested in seeing the outside of this building. I want to know what this world looks like, and who these people we're supposed to be fighting are. These Umbrella folks make it sound like they're the top dogs, but they're employing help by force from other realities - which seems... desperate."

For the first time since her arrival, Road looked to acknowledge the architecture of where they were. If she had to guess, technology was much more advanced than where she hailed from. Something told her people weren't transported by horse-drawn carriages. Again her eyes turned to Alucard and she looked at him with a question in her expression.

"That mister with the black glasses - he said they'd provide firearm training. Any idea what a firearm is, Alley?"

"Yes he can~ but he hasn't done so yet as far as I know."

Those were the brief, bubbly words that emerged from Cagliostro's mouth.

"The only thing stopping me from ordering him to do so is my urge to learn new things~ It's a waste for Ouroboros to eat a world that still has the unknown to learn about, stones left unturned. Turning everything to nothing is such a waste when you don't know about every single detail that goes into a diet plan~, isn't that right, Ouroboros~"

Ouroboros was still visibly hissing at Adam. Cagliostro's words contradicted Ouroboros' actions because Ouroboros didn't seem to care what was inside Adam.

Cagliostro's voice now seemed more serious.

"The world's not exactly the perfect place. One of these days, Ouroboros will eat it whole and I'll use every bit of knowledge I have to recreate it from scratch - every single island, every single city, every single sea, every single race and being. Maybe I'll be stopped in my tracks when that day comes, and the world will flow normally again as if my plans never happened. Maybe that day will never come, because the world will never, ever stop changing, and one of these days, my rate of learning will be slower than the rate at which the world alters itself."

Hakuei's idea of a family was very peculiar to Alucard. He had plenty under his command, but he realized he never really had much respect for those that served him. They, however, respected him. Looking at the way she spoke of her Paimon was different than what he knew and expected. But he suspected that this djinn was what gave her power, as he sensed no magic coming from the woman, but from her 'Metal Vessel' instead. The beating life of the djinn and the raw power that flowed through it... Alucard wanted to see it with his own eyes.

"Your djinn chose you because you have the potential to be a king?" Somehow that made sense to the dhampir. He did not know what Hakuei's capabilities were, but if such a powerful being recognized it... he knew he had found someone who would be a good ally to him. What would it be like if his powers were recognized, and he had the power to banish Dracula forever? A dream world, in his opinion.

He agreed with Cagliostro. "Yes, that is what I assumed from the material I have read. Though I suppose any metal object would suffice," Alucard murmured, looking at the fan. How exactly did a djinn make its home within it? Was it possession, or was the djinn able to turn into a small particle and hide within it? He had so many questions about these new and very different worlds.

Pressing a hand against his forehead, the man audibly sighed. At least their familiars seemed capable, while those that stuck with him... well, they were useful, but compared to Ouroboros and this Paimon, they seemed like nothing. Enough for his endeavors with Castlevania, but was it going to be enough with this foreign world?

"Ouroboros looks fearsome. More capable-looking than the creatures that have tied contracts with me," he uttered, almost grumpily, openly showing emotion other than his usual blankless. An imp that did what it was told and was reminiscent of a butler but ultimately was just an imp, a fairy who sang and cured him of illnesses, and a sentient sword that slowly gained strength the more blood is spilled. He had all grounds covered.

uteeuXd.png

"Indeed. I too want to see where we are. However, this Umbrella organization seems to have no plan to do so right now." How infuriating. Alucard could guess the outside world was going to be very different from his own, the traditional European landscape with knights roaming about, slaying demons and vampires that terrorized the human society.

At Road's question, it took a moment for him to grasp it.

"I know matchlock guns. However, I see no need for firearms. I am capable of fire magic."

Sideous' face contorted into an expression that could only be described in one way; concern. Not concern for those around him, or concern for his own safety, but concern for the Grand Plan.

Everything was ruined.

With only a dozen words, Wesker and taken his goals and stripped them bare; they had turned to captor into the captive, the manipulator into the manipulated, the predators into the prey. Sooners or later the Senate would fade into a bitter memory. Order 66 wouldn't matter. His army would fall into disarray. He would have nothing.

All that would remain was the Dark Side. His hate. His anger. His power.

Whether it took him to one hundred, one thousand, or even a trillion years,

He.

Would.

Escape.

If he had to lay down the lives of every damn man, woman, and child in the box to do so, so be it. They were worthless. Insignificant. Dirt beneath his boots.

He would find a way- somehow- to defy their programming, break out of their system get back home. Somehow. Somehow. Somehow.

Yet, in the meantime, he would simply have you play the role of the loyal servant, the well-mannered minion.

"I think I understand, sir"

Palpatine returned to his group, his face still holding the same fake worried mask. "I'm sorry, Ms...." Sheev trailed off, not fully remembering the woman's name "But this may be the only chance we have....the Maker only knows what these... scientists will do with us when they're finished...."

"Android 18," she responded, "If that's too long then 18 works too,"

Riesbyfe15.png

"Yes, perhaps... Perhaps that is our best course of action at the moment," Riesbyfe said to Nashetania after recovering her iron gauntlets and her trusty shield Gamaliel, though after the ordeal that she and the rest of the trapped group had been through, it seemed that her mood had dipped for the worse a little, even if one could argue that it was a perfectly normal reaction to everything everyone had just been through. Being told that they were now weapons against their own will without much of a choice was unsettling, especially so for such a knight who enjoyed her own free will and determination.

However, these people were somewhat vague about who they would be used as weapons against. As their first impression, this organization of people gave Riesbyfe the impression that this world was a grey one, and she could only hope that as such, she wasn't to be pitted against good people, lest she'd rather end herself than harm any innocents.

The training facility resembled a large shooting range, complete with earmuffs, as well as large sandbags on the side for anyone wishing to test their skill with a blade.

BANG! BANG!

In the center, a man in somewhat heavy clothing and a distinctive mask was seen trying his own proficiency with a gun, shooting deftly at the targets on the other side of the room. Initially, he paid the group in the training facility no mind, but after Riesbyfe cleared her throat during the brief moment in which the man reloaded, he turned to face everyone.

"Ah... You must be the fresh meat. Name's SPECTRE," the man said through his mask with a calm, almost even smug, tone, as he casually twirled his pistol in his hand, "Help yourself to the place. Make yourself useful 'cause being useless, we will make sure, will be worse than just being dead. And don't try anything funny with me, alright? I'll put you into the ground even harder than your father did after he had some of the bottles. Won't even need the fancy little devices they put in you."

With that brief statement, SPECTRE went back to shooting his target, leaving everyone in the training facility to do as they pleased.

Riesbyfe03.png

"Of course. What is it that you wish to discuss with me, Clark?"

She was curious as to what spurred on this course of action from Clark, left to wonder just about what he was thinking of at the moment. Despite her mood taking a small dive after all that had happened, she couldn't deny that having her gauntlets and shield back at least made her less anxious, so perhaps it all balanced out in the end. Having people she trusted nearby was also a plus, including not just Clark and Nashetania, but also a mysterious green man. What was his name again? Lu... Luigi?

Android 18 would glance towards the shooting range SPECTRE was using before firing off a barrage of ki blast in its direction.

She needed to vent and imagining the scientists as the poor targets were one way to do that.

Albert nodded and a smile appeared on his face. "Ah... I see. You are confused. In whatever world you come from, perhaps you know a version of myself. Interesting... though, not surprising." The man turned slightly and tapped at his chin. "Right... You could always tell me about our arrangement, Miss...?"

"... We appreciate the dedication," Annette said, sounding a bit surprised, "But you're here to follow plans, not make them. Besides, we're not in a position to carry out any of what you suggest. We are in the midst of a battle that is going on at this time. We can't afford more resources ourselves, so that is where you all come in. You will be sent out and you will fight."

"Hey, I say what's on my mind and some people don't like that," Adam said, finding Cagliostro more intriguing by the second. He found himself blushing. What a curious development! His mind seemed too preoccupied to be intimidated.

Jason would just sigh and shake his head again.

"Alright, if you want us to go in and shoot up the place like a bunch'a dumbasses, then I'll do it. Not that I have a choice..."

Twisted Fate would arrive in the training room. He looked around, examining the crowd of people. There was a group of people sparring with each other, though he had no interest in joining in. There was no need for him to practice; he has angered enough people in his life to the point where he fought at least once every day. Not to mention how much he fights on the Fields of Justice. After all, he was a champion of the League of Legends.

Clearly bored, he just weaved a card through his fingers again. He was really admiring his cards after being separated from them for so long. He began talking to himself.

"Ugh, more waitin', huh?"

Then a great idea popped into his head. He raised his voice and spoke to his group and anyone in the vicinity.

"Hey, anyone up for a game of poker?"

Well y'know what, starlight burns right through stone. I'm in." She paused for a second. "Mild disclaimer: I'm also not responsible for any damage that might occur." Jinx glanced at her familiar, Shiro, just resting on her shoulder. "My guns have a mind of their own. Quite fun ones at that."

She snickered to herself.

"Two-on-one ain't very fair, huh?" Metal met Domon's foot as Shirou swatted it aside with his pistol.

"Yo. Hope you guys don't mind me hopping in on the fun. Don't worry, I'm not gonna shoot ya or anything."

"I don't mind at all." Azura would respond. Two on two would work just fine.
"If need be, I can train with you, Lady Azura."

The young swordsman had grown tired of his time spent talking to the man known as Adam and had wandered off a few moments ago, trusting Cagliostro and the others to keep him in line. "Thank you, Joshua," she replied, though now there were five of them in the same space. This made things a bit uneven, but she was sure she could work something out if she needed to.
Zerberus was expecting this. If Azura noticed, the wind from Aero began to damage her as she was close to him. He then shoved her back as the winds begin to disappear. He looked so... calm...

He then flipped his blade and it looks like he was going to cast a spell again. But he wasn't smiling like last time when he was casting a spell. In fact, he looked... sad.

Noticing that she was the one being pushed back and the winds were doing damage, her focus went back to Zeberus then.

"Yes, I believe I can," she replied, noticing how sad he looked, brows furrowing at this she spun her Naginata in her hand before preparing herself for what he might throw at her.

"Ouroboros?" Road mused, suddenly seeming more interested in the similarly sized Cagliostro. "Ouroboros... He does remind me of one of the great sea serpents and monsters from my world, but he feels different." Hakuei was a bit unnerved to see the intelligence clearly showing through the being's eyes and to think that such a young-looking girl like Cagliostro commanded it. And the rest of the alchemist girl's plans just further strengthened the impression and similarity she had to a magi - a world-creating magician. To destroy a world and then recreate it? Her world's magi were the equivalent of such a person.

h2gYfWg.jpg

She quickly regathered her thoughts upon hearing Alucard's grumble, an amused expression crossing her face. He didn't seem the type to show much emotion, but there it was. The pale dhampir wasn't as emotionless as he tried to project himself.

"You seem bemused about your own creatures, I gather they're not as fearsome as Ourobouros in appearance?" She pinpointed his source of ire accurately, blinking at the dhampir. When one had siblings like Kouen and Koumei, she had a talent for practically reading such blank faces and picking out the nuances in their words. "But you seem to have an interesting bond with them anyway." If she read his face correctly.

She turned to Road once more at the mention of firearms. "My world's firearms are quite limited to gunpowder and cannons, but I would be willing to come and learn it with you if you want. It would be a pleasure working with all of you." Curiosity brimmed in Hakuei's face, though she also felt apprehension at actually touching unfamiliar weapons. As if to punctuate disgruntlement, there was a distinct feeling of annoyance from her fan. Seems like Paimon was trying to say she was enough of a weapon for her king or queen already.

The scientist known as William looked momentarily surprised that he was being directly spoken to at all, but he soon took pleasure in the fact as a smirk appeared on his face. "You won't have time for games," he said to Cagliostro, "But it'll be exciting soon enough," The woman beside him turned and shot him an unimpressed look, to which William waved her off.

After clearing her throat, the woman turned to Cagliostro and said, "We're not interested in those conditions, but tell us-- how did it feel when you attempted to use your abilities on the glass? Was there pain or numbness?"

She then looked to Alice. "I won't lie. You're not going home."

"Hold on," said the scientist in sunglasses. He was looking in Laharl's direction. He gestured for him to come closer to the glass and said, "You, come here," He then whispered something to the female scientist next to him, though both Cagliostro and Alice would hear something about 'language.'

Schala found she still had her amulet.

"..."

The Overlord had at first been tentative about approaching the scientist, but it seemed as if he was free to talk now. "Wesker, was it?" Laharl said in a characteristically impetuous tone, addressing the taller man. "What business do you have with Overlord Laharl?" He had grasped the gravity of the situation and gathered that being overly hostile at this point in time was not wise... After all, he still hadn't gone to get his sword, and that's even if it's still his sword he's picking up from the Armory.

"You all have interesting weapons... I don't think I brought anything..."

Charlotte checked around her to see if she saw anything familiar. Recognizing a bag that she uses, the little girl picked up the STUFF bag. She peeked inside to see if there was anything useful.

"I-I don't think I'd be much help anyways if there was a battle or something going on..."

Taking one of the three items out, she showed the group the bar of soap that was in her hands. The girl became embarrassed as she remembered leaving a bar of blueberry soap that Bennett left in the kitchen. She stuttered to explain to everyone and ended up shoving the soap back in the bag.

"Um... Bennett is one of the alien tenants that live in my house... He likes to make edible soaps to eat.

This one's blueberry flavored, but I wouldn't eat it... Trust me. It's gross."

Charlotte then revealed a mask and some scissors which were the final items she had in the bag. She remembered having to use the mask to avoid being murdered by a rare alien species. The scissors were somehow... Unfamiliar to her. She didn't really know how she got them or why they were in her bag, but they were here. Sighing, she would put a smile on her face, wearing the mask to cheer herself up.

"Felix and I were stuck in this strange place where these aliens would kill us if we didn't look like them... Is that what they call a genocide?"

With only some time to spare before his PWM would have to recharge again, Blake silently went straight to practicing his swordplay, using one of the large sandbags for this practice. Slashing and slicing with a smooth rhythm, it somewhat proved that Blake was indeed an experienced fighter and not just someone talking big that he was some sort of assassin. Readjusting his glasses, he had about two minutes before it powers out.

"Just enough time. PWM, protocol 3."

Stepping back from the poor slashed-up sandbag, Blake's hardlight sword shifted into the form of a scythe. Even with an uncanny weapon given his homeworld, he showed that he had some experience with it by showing little to no trouble moving around a scythe.

Either that or he was simply showing off...

Zerberus points his Key-blade upward as Zerberus closed his eyes. Suddenly, a dark feeling filled the air in the entire Training Facility along with the lights covered by darkness. Zerberus's body was covered by a dark aura. Suddenly, the feelings began to be pushed towards Zerberus. His dark aura then begins to condense into the Key-blade. He points his Key-blade Azura with no emotions on his face. All of these feelings of Hatred and other dark feelings were used to create a fireball of black and purple fire.

"Dark Fira..."

Zerberus then released this energy on Azura. The fireball then shot forward like a bullet toward her. It looks as if it was eager to crash into her. Zerberus then pointed his sword upward again. A flower bloomed above his head as he then was covered by a green light.

"Cure!"

Miku had an inner fire, a strength to her that both impressed and concerned Alice. She would certainly be able to hold her own, but the assassin had to wonder if Miku would get too lost in the fight. If she would lose whatever humanity she was programmed with.

But there was nothing she could do about that, really. All Alice could do was train the young singer for combat. "Good. Pick out a rifle, and we can begin training with those targets over there."

"Two-on-one ain't very fair, huh?" Metal met Domon's foot as Shirou swatted it aside with his pistol.

"Yo. Hope you guys don't mind me hopping in on the fun. Don't worry, I'm not gonna shoot ya or anything."

Domon jumped back as soon as he realized that Shirou had joined the battle. He ran around the two so that we has shoulder-to-shoulder with Azura. "So it looks like we have ourselves a four-way fight now. Since you have a weapon, why don't you handle this guy while I take care of the newcomer?" he said to his partner. He then looked over to Joshua. "You planning on joining in too? Three-on-two seems a bit unbalanced, but the more the merrier, I guess." It looked like the fight just continued to grow. He wasn't sure if they would have enough space to go all out, but he knew it would be good to get a good idea of how these people fought since they would all be fighting side-by-side soon enough, whether that be with or against the Umbrella Corporation.

Just then, Domon noticed a strange look on Zerberus's face. When his opponent cast his spell, Domon would attempt to push Azura to the side, hoping to get her out of the way before it hit.
