The sequence of events from the ruined corridors of Knowhere to the shining atmosphere of a new Avalon was tiring for Jotaro Kujo.
Him, alongside Giorno, didn't have anything to say to Othinus as lead the group through her twisted ideology point-by-point, employing a strategy that has thus far done nothing to elicit even a snarky taunt or convicted response out of the two Joestars. Giorno walked along the cobblestone pathways of the reconstructed city without much expression in his step or his face, saying nothing to Jotaro as he left his side to explore the city on his own. If Jotaro knew anything about this kid, he's probably just leaving to concoct some plan or speech to get the group back on Othinus' tail, so the marine biologist opted to let the don walk off without any protest.
So Jotaro stood alone once again, blankly staring at the lively face of a girl whom he had personally killed not too long ago.
He shook his head, averting his eyes from Marian and instead staring at his own shoes. This isn't anything new for Jotaro, so why should he let himself get riled up? Everything in this place was 'real', as in it was what the inhabitants of this reality would consider 'real' because just like this new Avalon, these people were redesigned to Othinus' specifications. Their beliefs, their memories, and who they actually are have become irrelevant. They're nothing more than tools for the purpose of getting everyone in the group emotionally unstable.
The moment anyone in the group accepts this facade as Othinus being the virtuous, bleeding heart she now claims to be will be the moment Jotaro just throws his hat on the ground, throw his hands up in the air and say 'I've had enough of this shit.'
Jotaro thought much on this concept because of everyone standing among this group, Othinus may have the most 'ammo' against him, so to speak.
Polnareff.
Avdol.
Iggy.
Kakyoin.
The old man.
Josuke.
Koichi.
Aoko.
SeeU.
Even the woman who he once called his wife.
The only person Othinus couldn't use against Jotaro was his own daughter. She's the only person left that's 'real'. She's also the only person among that group that truthfully, honestly hates Jotaro Kujo.
It's funny how things work out. The ocean of animosity and time standing between Jolyne and Jotaro was ever-present, even in this bright and sunny reality where such a thing cannot exist between humans. Othinus couldn't change everything, it seems.
For the first time since the journey began, Jotaro moved from his position at the back of the group and willfully approached his daughter, walking alongside her with his hands dug deep within his pockets and his eyes glued straight ahead as he spoke.
"Jolyne."
"Whatever or whoever Othinus tries to throw at you in this place isn't real."
"... I just thought you needed to know that before we keep going."
Jotaro's manner of speaking was as emotionless as it always was, but Jolyne alone could pick up on the subtle doubt in his words. Like he was talking to himself as much as he was talking to his daughter.
