Well.
Now this was fun.
Only half-sarcastically speaking, at least.
However, Aoko Aozaki knew she had to put playtime to a halt. This was no time for fun and games, but if they wanted to squeeze in one little match, then who was she to refuse such a display? So many players, so many to tag out of the game. Who to start with? Well, why not
all of them? She could certainly afford to do that, and besides, with this many lives at stake -- notably, the prisoners -- it was time that Aoko got just a little bit more serious. Not that she would stop holding back -- if she did, everyone would just be dead -- but it seemed that the stakes were far higher than the last scuffle they were in, and the redhead could only imagine that it wouldn't get any easier from here on out.
"Alright then. I don't have a lot of time, but for you guys, I'll make an exception. Try to keep up if you can, 'cause you're in for a show!"
BOOM!
The air around Aoko literally exploded with just a flick of the wrist, and the bullets fired at her and the others were instantly repelled. This was the result of her tapping into her Magic Circuit once again, and forcing out unconcentrated mana to flow all around the air, like a fire extinguisher spraying all over the place without a hose, except more scattered, like a gas even.
"I'd say something cheesy, like about how I hope this shows you the error of your ways, but really, I'm kinda mad right now! To point your guns at innocent people... That just really gets me boiling!" She exclaimed, still with that upbeat voice of hers that did little to betray the sheer, raw power in her voice alone, a commanding presence that threatened to shake the hall by itself.
"Hmm. I think beams have gotten a bit stale at this point. How about let's get a little more up close and personal?" Aoko continued. Her words and tone could have almost been interpreted as playful teasing, bordering on sultry, if she were not who she was, feeling the emotions that she felt right here and now.
Raising her arm above her head, a blue glow enveloped her body, like halos. Her expression darkened, but her smile persisted. Her bangs obscured her eyes, but her fiery determination burned through. Concentrating her Magic Circuits, she took a breath and focused on what she wanted to do. She wanted to move beyond that of a human. She wanted to protect those in front of her. She wanted to show these guys who was boss. She wanted to get back home already.
She wanted, and she fulfilled.
And then, she bucked her knees, and...
Whoosh!
Quite literally, she disappeared in the blink of an eye.
However, it was not that Aoko Aozaki had turned invisible, or that she teleported somewhere else. She was capable of many great feats, but she was not capable of that.
No, she simply just started to move faster than the human eye could comprehend, but just below the speed of sound. After all, if she were to go above subsonic speeds, the resulting sonic boom would likely blow her own allies away as well, so she held herself back in that regard.
The only thing identifiable on her form was her beautiful, shining red hair, piercing through the darkness like Muramasa. An awe-inspiring display to bewilder any common folk who laid their eyes upon her majestic display. Even if they ran the fine line between savage and graceful.
The difference between a brutish monster and a refined lady. A gorilla and a butterfly.
This was the power of a true magician.
Like a burst of wind, she rematerialized behind the cluster of guards, one of them having mysteriously fallen down just as Aoko reappeared. Known only to those with eyesight able to process such speeds, she'd performed a clothesline attack on them with her powerful arm, but she was only just getting started. Turning around swiftly, her hair continuing to flow gracefully while her body exhibited movements of a monstrous brute, following herself up with a swinging hook that smashed right into the back of one of the guard's heads, knocking him facefirst into the floor.
Without even breaking for a second, Aoko continued on, performing a powerful punch to the solar plexus of another guard that, especially when propelled with the momentum of subsonic speeds, easily knocked the wind out of him and into the wall where she created a small dent. Like a seasoned martial artist, she continued her assault, dropping to her knees and performing a crouching sweep to trip the guard behind her, and then, continuing to move at her current speed, rose to her feet before the poor sap could even hit the floor as he tripped, the woman raising her leg up in an impossible instant and dropping her foot right into the man's face, slamming him harder into the ground!
Taking a new stance, she advanced toward another guard, her right arm glowing teal as she unleashed a flurry of quick, yet devastating punches to the next enemy, before finishing off with an uppercut so powerful the man's body flew into the ceiling where he was stuck by his head, his body dangling from there, unable to get out for the time being. However, good Aoko was kind enough to set him free, grabbing him by the legs and ripping him out from the ceiling, only to keep her grip on him and swing him around, slamming his body into another enemy and throwing them both into the wall as well.
And at the end of it all, she took a breath, as though she just finished a strenuous jog, before wiping her hands, and placing them on her hips.
"That was fun. Let's do it again sometime, hmm?~"
