Kefla approached the sign up sheet a scruffily printed her name onto the paper, desperately trying not to snap the pen as she wrote. Having spent most of her childhood- well, childhood
s- growing and fighting in the wastelands of some distant world, she had never really felt the need to learn how to read or write. Being able to draw shapes on a page wasn't going to score her and extra servzing of meat. Being able to turn said shapes into noises want going to keep her tribe safe the next time one is of the Destruction Gods got board. Instead, she had devoted herself to the more simplistic things in life: fighting, flying and eating; what more could a Saiyan need?
She shut her eyes, desperately trying to recall the symbols Vados had taught her to print towards the end of their training.
*You need to prepare yourself for the worst*'How Vados had scolded her, waving her beloved staff around like a school teacher with a laser pointer *This is the Universal Tornament of Power; the rules can and will change at the drop of a hat. The last thing we need if for Lord Zeno to decide he wants to preface the fighting with an exam...like last time*
And so the Angel had sought to teach her as much as possible in the limited time that they had together. Spelling. Simple mathematics. Anything that could help the, to achieve a simple pass grade if a test did come up. The spelling had caused her to struggle the most- or at least, one of her two fusees had trouble. Printing out tensile dozens of letters, and expecting to gather some sort of meaning from them? The very idea made her dizzy. Memorising her 2 older names was hard enough... Now she had to learn how to write out an entirely knew name.
Maybe there was a downside to her fusion after all?

Perfect- or at least, that spelling seemed close enough...
Regardless, now wasn't the time for such arbitrary things; Kelfa had been promised free food, and she was sure as hell about to get some. The hunger was starting to make her restless
"C'mon already" She groaned, her voice echoing with two distinct different tones "Didn't the invitation say something about free food or something? Choc-ate or something?" She linked her fingers and wrapped them around the back of her head, turning her body into some sort of hummock. Champa had always preached about how great the food in other universes was. He had sung of the "Fried Eggs" of Universe 7, or the Gamshu Eyes of Universe 10 time and time again, describing the sensations of his tastebuds in taunting detail. He never did being any back to Universe 6 for her to try... Well, the joke was on him now-- she would be trying some of the best Choc-ate in all the Universes, all whilst Champa would be spending his Valentine's Day tearing apart his Planet searching for his 'missing' invitation. Perhaps even the God's couldn't escape karma...

It was at that moment, a familiar face caught Kelfa's eye. A round, shiny face, born without a nose. What had Vados called him in the briefing? Kurll? Krollo? Kuri? Great- now all this thinking of food was causing names to blend with types of nuts in her mind... And that really was a recipe for disaster...
The woman next to him she recognised too- she had been standing with the rest of the Universe 7 fighters just before the tournament began, hadn't she? She had never had the chance to spar with the blonde brawler, yet something about her still felt familiar. Something had stuck out about her appearance that had lead to Kelfa making a mental note of it her before the tournament had begun. Maybe it was those cold, empty eyes? Or the way she carried herself proud and tall, as if nothing around her could possibly harm her? Whatever it was, something about her seemed to scream: warrior. And that was the kind of girl she needed to meet.
"Hey! You!" Kelfa called out, waving towards Krillin and 18, her eyes wide with excitement "You're those a universe 7 guys, right? From the Tornament?"
