"Alright, alright, maybe everyone's mixed about this, and I can't expect everyone to have the same views, in fact, I guess it's actually reasonable that most of you want to shut her down.

But most of us are on the same boat about what to do - reasoning with her, right? Using words when power won't work..."

Ben ponders.

"Different worlds have different ways of going about that in the run. The Mayan Deity Ah Puch was an alien that guarded an ancient alien relic back in my world. Crazy, I know. With the multiverse being involved and its wavering rules from world to world, maybe... just maybe... we could even turn her into something aside from a fairy."

Ben's hands sparked with mana.

"I could replicate some of your spells, Leivinia, but I'm not sure if the Fairy Spell is something that can be replicated on a whim, or this span of time for that matter, or if I can half-copy it and put my own spin on it. My magic is pretty green, but there is one thing I'm not green at..."

Ben shifts his Omnitrix to a hologram of the being he previously used against Othinus - Alien X.

"... I could use this guy to replicate the effects of such a spell, using a force different from standard magic. On the other hand, Othinus did defeat him in one hit. Maybe she'll make me go boom like Fiamma & Ollerus if I manage to pull something like that off."

He turns to Kyoko.

"You can count on me, Commander Kirigiri. I'm not going to hestitate with my choices."

"Whether each world's legends differ or not is of little consequence, as long as there is a legend to form a supernatural setting with. Unfortunately, I'm only intimate with my own world's legends. If you have an idea, you'll need to actually tell me about it."

Leivinia didn't really understand what the hologram was supposed to be, but she just continued after he suggested his own "version" of a spell.

"The Fairy spell shouldn't be overwhelmingly difficult to replicate once one knows its origin, but Othinus has already been hit by it. We're not looking to turn a fairy into a fairy. If it was effective, Ollerus would have tried it instead of relying on some unknown artifact. As for that...thing," she pointed to the hologram. "You'll have to tell me how it works if you want any input on it."

Merely shrugging as Will ran off, the young girl couldn't help but find the irony in the older girl's words amusing. Choosing to attack her mentally rather than martially was a way itself, wasn't it? They didn't have time to waste chasing her down to continue the discussion though, so Leivinia just ignored her.

In response to Kyoko's question and Giorno's speech, Leivinia gave a simple answer with a straight face.

"I don't hesitate. If I'm going to do something, I do it."

Including blowing away a hostile version of Kyoko herself, but there was no need to verbalize that.

"Shepherd Artorius... I'll fight with you! Elle, go to safety!" Elle nodded and retreated. Artorius stepped forward.

"You will not match our resolve," Artorius declared, springing forward to slash at Libra.

"Stop saying that!" Sorey yelled, his voice tinged with hurt. Elle buried herself in Sorey's side as his voice rose. "You butchered people in order to prove a point! It's like you... you didn't think we were real! I thought better of you once and I won't do it again!"

"That's right, Sorey," said another male entering the area. He moved to stand next to Sorey, his own blade at the ready.

"Not all of them appear to be daemons, but they are evil all the same. We are the last left alive, so it is our duty to ensure these ones do not leave."

"Shepherd Artorius... I'll fight with you! Elle, go to safety!" Elle nodded and retreated. Artorius stepped forward.

"You will not match our resolve," Artorius declared, springing forward to slash at Libra.

"No!" Chise yelled, and with concentration, a wall of diamond would sprout from the ground to block Artorius' strike towards Libra!

Chise knew she'd need to think quickly, because she doubted just her words would help. Being put on the defensive could only work so long.

"Thank you, Chise," Libra said, refusing to draw his axe. Taking this brief time, he would still try to talk. There HAD to be a chance that they could get through this second time with no bloodshed, right? "We have absolutely no recollection of any of this! This is the second Knowhere Othinus has placed us in, we know nothing other than that this is a world she destroyed to make us feel the guilt of our inability to save anyone. Whatever memories you have of me, or any of us...they aren't true, no matter what Othinus says about what is real and what isn't."

Artorius' sword turned red hot as he slashed through the wall of diamond. Power seemed to emanate off the man as he stepped forward toward Libra.

"What are you talking about?!" Sorey exclaimed from behind him. "You're doing it again... claiming this is not real! It's real! The lives I saw you cut down were real!"

"Will this be real enough for you?" Artorius asked before backhanding Libra.

Rita stared long and hard at the other two and dared to ask the question. " What do you think that we did?" She asked. She had a feeling she knew what their warped perspective was, but she wanted to know for certain. She didn't raise a weapon or plan anything, she wanted to know their answers and find flaws in the narrative.

"Well, resolve's certainly one way to describe it; the feeling in your hearts. But take care that you don't let that resolve fester into vengeance," Wanda said warningly, her message pointed to some more than others, "If you let things get too personal, it can... interfere with your ability to determine what the right thing to do is."

Kyoko only nodded to the responses to her, left with little choice but to put her faith in them. With her legs healed, she gingerly made her way to a computer panel to the side, clearly malfunctioning to a notable degree, but evidently still functioning in some capacity as she was able to navigate her way through some different screens.

"In any case, all the best intentions in the multiverse won't mean much if you just stand here idly. Wherever Othinus is, I'm sure she's waiting for you to find or do something before she feels the need to move on to the next stage of her game then. We don't have a lot of time, after all," Kyoko said, repeating the last sentiment as if to reiterate the tense situation.

"The panel's picking up a notable energy reading from the Member Quarters. It has a different frequency from the other signatures I've been reading, like Gungnir and the Arrow, so it can't be Othinus, but... It's strikingly similar to Wanda's."

"Is it...?" Wanda trailed off with a wide, concerned expression in her eyes, "Where's Billy?"

"Billy? I... I don't think I remember seeing him at all. Not since after that Great Spirit Aska showed up... and then after Othinus got what she wanted... He was gone. Just like that."

"Then... That has to be him! You need to go to him! I'm sure that if I was able to resist Othinus's power -- at least for this immediate moment -- then Billy should be able to as well!"

"It's a long shot that it'll even matter after everything, but..." Kyoko put her hand on her chest, "I have faith."

"Just... Do be careful. Once you leave this room, my powers won't protect you anymore. I don't know what you'll find in the rest of Knowhere, but if the people here are like how they were in the last multiverse..."

"I understand. Let's get moving then!"

With that, Touma took the initiative and moved on, fist clenched and his mind resolved.

Libra grunted as he was knocked to the ground, his staff falling to the ground. There was no reasoning with them... He slowly pulled himself up, rubbing his cheeck from the hit. "...I truly am sorry, Sorey. Whatever it is you think I did, I know I didn't do. But I'm not going to fight anyone anymore. If you won't believe us, then..."

He got onto his knees, spreading his arms before the two Shepherds. "Strike me down. If in this world, I am a "truly malevonent" being, then dispose of me as if I am one. It will not bring anyone back who has perished, but perhaps it will appease you. But all I ask is that you spare the others. No one else has to perish here."

"Look around you!" Sorey yelled. Rage flared inside him as he bared his teeth and ran straight for Rita. "You destroyed it all!"

As Sorey attempted to tackle Rita, Artorius cut the air, sending shockwaves flying at both Max and Chise. He only sneered down at Libra.

Rita was angry that she was right about what she suspected. She had a feeling that they would be blamed since Othinus had made the world.

Will didn't follow Touma and the others. Instead choosing to stay and chat with Wanda for a little longer. The Keeper fixed Wanda with a look, as if to say that she had an issue with her rethoric.

"Don't preach to me about vengeance, witch. That monster destroyed everything we knew and loved right before our eyes. She does not deserve mercy. If I find her, WHEN I find her, I will do my damndest to make her pay for what she has done. To us. To me. To the entire universe. I may have offered Othinus a second chance before she destroyed reality, but now? Death is too good for her."

Will folded her arms under her chest and averted her gaze to the destroyed Command Center.

"Fuck. I've changed my mind, I'd take the hands," Mason thought.

Mason felt the cold metal of a blade against his neck. With his vision stolen he kept his mouth shut, listening to the two. He learned his lesson taunting Othinus with his performance in the void, and knew that their attacker wouldn't bring him back from annihilation. All the while, he focused on his powers. Unlike his sister, his sixth sense wasn't strong. At most, he might get a brief glimpse of the auras that surrounded him. So, with a brief glimpse of the hearts nearby, he saw two nameless souls. From one soul he heard Schala's voice. In reply came another familiar voice. He wondered who it came from, though he couldn't match it to a name. Though there were a few memories of the word 'despair' being thrown around recklessly at the Coalition.

"You're from Makoto's world, aren't you? With the killing games and despair bears, I can see why you hate despair so much. However, if you really want to get rid of despair..."

Swords appeared in Mason's hands in a flash. With his left hand sword, he parried their attacker's sword, swiping it away from his neck. Although it left a mark on his skin, at least it hadn't sliced something vital yet. With his right, he thrust forward, slicing into the darkness and hoping he hit his mark.

"...you're going to have to start with this despair-filled heart right here!"

Macy helped Libra and Max in moving the debris. Although she had a slender frame, it looked as if she could lift just as well as Max could. Though, with his age, how much did that really mean?

"C'mere, Rollo Rollo Rollo! Where's the good boy hiding?" Macy said in a higher pitched, childish voice, as if she were talking to a baby.

The man narrowed his eyes at Schala. He was about to speak when Mason interrupted him. He seemed angered by what the boy said, though leaped back after his sword was parried. Mason's follow-up attack was addled by his temporary blindness, allowing the man to spin to the left in order to dodge the attack easily. He angled the spin to put him behind Mason, where he followed with a shoulder check in order to disarm him.

He then turned his attention to Schala in case she wanted to attack as well, but a sudden explosion of sound from deeper in the quarters caused him to pause. He stood to his feet and readied his sword in case of another attack. "Something is coming," he said. "One of yours...?"

With the debris cleared aside, everyone could see that no cat lay underneath. However, a collar was present on the ground. Elle gasped at the object and let go of Rita's hand to run to it. She cradled the collar in her hands and let out a sob.

"This was his collar!" she cried. She turned it over, revealing a small blood stain. This only caused the little girl to begin crying all over again.

Schala didn't seem to have hostile intentions towards the man. In fact she had raised a hand preparing to object to what Mason was about to do, but unfortunately she was too late.

At any rate, hearing the explosion from within the quarters, she quickly realized they had something else to worries about. Frowning a little as she was asked if it was the doing of someone with her, of which she shrugged her shoulders, seeming a little confused.

"I... Don't know. Perhaps we should hide..." She said, one of her hands reaching for a blade she had sheathed by her side.

Her magic took a bit of time to cast, and it seemed like she would need to act faster, or at least buy time to cast properly... If there was a threat coming this way.​

Rita saw that the debris was all gone and she could see that there was no cat underneath it. She did however see a collar and she was sad about that and felt horrible for the little girl who had lost her cat. She tried to find the right words to say.

" Oh, that can't be good," Rita said, looking around to see if there was anywhere the cat could have slid out of or a trail of blood to follow to find the cat.

"Don't worry...we'll find him, I promise. If he's hurt, I can heal him." Chise tried to comfort the girl, gently placing a hand on her back, while Ruth attempted to pick up a stronger scent trail to follow from the collar while Rita looked for a possible blood trail.

Oh no...Libra put a hand on Elle's shoulder. "I-It's all right, Elle. I'm sure Rollo got away. Cats have nine lives, after all. He's probably trying to find a few mice."

Elle decided to use Libra as a new shoulder to cry on as the others searched vainly for the cat. The scent of blood was thick in the Med Bay, making following a particular trail rather difficult. Before much could be put into the effort, someone rushed into the area.

"Elle!" yelled Sorey, looking panic-stricken. The little girl looked up to see Sorey and quickly looked a little calmer.

"Sorey... it's you! You're okay..."

Sorey took a cautious step toward the girl and the group. He raised a hand as if to block something. "Elle... do you know who these people are? They..." He shook his head. "Get away from them! Hurry!"

Elle's eyes went wide and she looked confused. "What...?"

"These are the people who did this! Elle!"

It took Elle only a moment to decide what she believed. Sorey seemed to be someone she was close to, so when he said these were the bad people, she pushed away from Libra like the man was on fire. She screamed in fear and began to run to Sorey's side, who had unsheathed his sword. The Shepherd looked ready to fight.

"Of course, Othinus reshaped the world to make us seem like the true villains. Again."

Grandpa Max steps forward, unleashing his extendable pole. "The reality is that you and us are on the same boat. But if we are unable to talk you into it in a civilised manner, and you insist on drawing your blade, then we will have no choice but to engage in combat."

"S-Sorey!" Libra was stunned as Elle pushed him away. If Othinus were truly omnipotent, she would probably be pleased to know that that small push hurt the priest quite effectively. This had to be Othinus' doing, it had to be! But with just Sorey here, and not a sudden onslaught of soldiers...maybe there was a chance to change his mind?

Opting out of playing into the game, Libra raised his hands to show he meant Sorey and Elle no harm. "Sorey, it is exactly as Max says. We are all victims of Otjinus recreating the Multiverse to her own design to punish us for trying to stop her. Do you not remember anything? Jiren capturing you, Aska's demise...none of it?" Gods, please let him remember...

Elle cowered by Sorey, who looked at Max and the others with both hatred and sadness. "That's what you've always said," Sorey said. "They said you killed Commander Makoto, and some of you almost convinced us otherwise..." Sorey's free hand clenched into a fist. He tried to say more but found himself overcome with emotion for the moment.

"... But then, then you... Alisha... Mikleo...! You killed us all, proving that you are truly evil! Truly malevolent!"

Artorius' sword turned red hot as he slashed through the wall of diamond. Power seemed to emanate off the man as he stepped forward toward Libra.

"What are you talking about?!" Sorey exclaimed from behind him. "You're doing it again... claiming this is not real! It's real! The lives I saw you cut down were real!"

"Will this be real enough for you?" Artorius asked before backhanding Libra.

Libra grunted as he was knocked to the ground, his staff falling to the ground. There was no reasoning with them... He slowly pulled himself up, rubbing his cheeck from the hit. "...I truly am sorry, Sorey. Whatever it is you think I did, I know I didn't do. But I'm not going to fight anyone anymore. If you won't believe us, then..."

He got onto his knees, spreading his arms before the two Shepherds. "Strike me down. If in this world, I am a "truly malevonent" being, then dispose of me as if I am one. It will not bring anyone back who has perished, but perhaps it will appease you. But all I ask is that you spare the others. No one else has to perish here."

"Look around you!" Sorey yelled. Rage flared inside him as he bared his teeth and ran straight for Rita. "You destroyed it all!"

As Sorey attempted to tackle Rita, Artorius cut the air, sending shockwaves flying at both Max and Chise. He only sneered down at Libra.

Rita was angry that she was right about what she suspected. She had a feeling that they would be blamed since Othinus had made the world.

Rita rolled out of the way of the tackle and knew she was going to trigger something even more for Sorey. " How?" She asked.

Sorey and Artorius's words cut Macy as deep as a sword could. She looked as if she were about to cry. The weight of the the fear, hurt, pain, and sadness brought her close to breaking. As Libra rubbed his own cheek in pain, Macy's hand rose to mimic the motion. The world around her moved faster than she could process. No words came from her lips. No actions moved in defense. She felt caught in the eye of a hurricane, unable to move without being tossed into the storm. The bastion of her heart was being torn at by the rage of the Shepherds. She tried to hold it back, but her heart could strain no longer. Just as back in Dio's castle, flooded with fear and anger, her disposition changed. The tears disappeared, and she drew her Thunder Rod.

"Awful, awful, awful! The both of you! Bringing fear into a little girl's hearts because of your assumptions and hatred. You're wrong, and with more than just our guilt. You're the ones destroying yourselves, and I won't have us harmed by your blind rage!"

Macy raised a hand and formed a barrier in between the shockwave and Max and Chise. Her other hand pointed the Thunder Rod towards Sorey. She didn't want to harm him, but a paralyzing shock from her Thunder Rod might keep him from attacking her allies.

The man narrowed his eyes at Schala. He was about to speak when Mason interrupted him. He seemed angered by what the boy said, though leaped back after his sword was parried. Mason's follow-up attack was addled by his temporary blindness, allowing the man to spin to the left in order to dodge the attack easily. He angled the spin to put him behind Mason, where he followed with a shoulder check in order to disarm him.

He then turned his attention to Schala in case she wanted to attack as well, but a sudden explosion of sound from deeper in the quarters caused him to pause. He stood to his feet and readied his sword in case of another attack. "Something is coming," he said. "One of yours...?"

Mason fell to the ground, his summoned weapons clattering against the floor and sliding farther than he could reach. He pushed himself to his feet and dismissed the weapons, rather than put forth the effort to find them in the darkness. He turned his head towards the sound of the explosion and replied to the attacker.

"Whatever it is, it isn't ours. I know we're busy trying to kill each other, but whatever caused that explosion is a threat to both of us. Perhaps we can put aside our blades and deal with whether we did or did not destroy everything later?"

"And Schala? Do you have any spells to heal status ailments? Particularly blindness? I'd rather enjoy seeing again."

Schala didn't seem to have hostile intentions towards the man. In fact she had raised a hand preparing to object to what Mason was about to do, but unfortunately she was too late.

At any rate, hearing the explosion from within the quarters, she quickly realized they had something else to worries about. Frowning a little as she was asked if it was the doing of someone with her, of which she shrugged her shoulders, seeming a little confused.

"I... Don't know. Perhaps we should hide..." She said, one of her hands reaching for a blade she had sheathed by her side.

Her magic took a bit of time to cast, and it seemed like she would need to act faster, or at least buy time to cast properly... If there was a threat coming this way.​

"If my guess is right, hiding won't do much good. Explosions defeat the purpose of hiding, when your hiding spot and you can be destroyed in one move. Running, though? Might be valid."

As the others arrived, the man with the word turned on them, brandishing his weapon, but the arrival of another caused him to pause. Crashing through the ceiling above was Billy Kaplan, who slammed down in the middle of the group. His eyes glowed blue and he seemed to be under great strain. He moved sluggishly as he held a hand out toward the armed man.

"Kyosuke... wait. Listen to... what we have to say--" The boy groaned, shoulders slumping. "I'm... managing to resist her effects. The current instance of the multiverse is... unstable."

Kyosuke narrowed his eyes at Billy. He seemed willing to listen, at least for now.

"How?" Sorey repeated, staring at Rita. He seemed transfixed for a moment. "... How? A girl with magic laid waste to the facility. Members of your group cut down my friends. Some of you were superhuman, some just normal people, but all... all had a hand in..."

He was cut off when Macy's attack sent him backward to crash into the wall.

Artorius shook his head at Libra. "You've come to your senses, at least. Though you tell us to not believe our own memories... our own eyes. Such a strange tactic, but I suppose I should expect this from creatures such as yourselves." Artorius held his sword over Libra's head and looked at Macy. "He is willing to atone. Would you take that from him?"​

"Macy." Libra looked to the younger girl, pleading with her. "Let me go. It...it's all right." He looked up at Artorius. "But I will only go if it means you do not harm the rest of them. That...that is my only request. I will take the responsibility for everyone here."

Mason turned to face the source of the new voice. His eyes were still blinded, but he recognized the boy from a much earlier incident. "Billy, it's good to see- well, not see, but hear- from you again. What exactly has gotten so unstable about it?"

Macy lowered her weapon and glared at Artorius. However, Libra's gaze and words softened her anger a small bit.

"Either way, I'm going to feel the sting of your death, Libra. A bit of a curse, really. Every death we've seen on this journey has been reflected in my heart. I've barely been able to hold it back this far, and I think another death is going to break me. I'm already bearing everyone's pain. Is it selfish of me to want to take your place instead?"

"I'll make the same offer. I'll take the price for everyone to go free, Libra included. I'm late for a meeting with Hades anyway. Perhaps it's for the best. You're free to choose, Artorius. My head or his, but please, no others. Though... I understand if cutting down a lady is too far beneath you."

Actually, I'll do one better," she replied, showing and dropping all of her weapons by her feet. " I'll go without a fight, that's how much I'm willing to do it," she added, looking over at Artorius and at the others. To make mistakes and set them right... she thought.

"Girls, please! You both have more to lose..." Libra was highly troubled by how eagerly Macy and Rita wanted to take his place. "There only need be one last life lost today.
