Unusually silent, the knight simply made a frustrated sigh as he and his company encountered yet another fight. Although he was eager to find the greater evil that the group was seeking, he was uncharacteristically nonvocal about it.

He took a quick swig of an Ashen Estus Flask in order to restore his power before preparing to cast two miracles: Sacred Oath, and Emit Force.

He crouched with a talisman in hand, and soon a faint glow from it would explode into a runic circle around Siegward's vicinity. He and his allies would gain slightly more damage resistance and attack power. Each member would have a faint orange aura around their torso.

Afterward, he held his hands out, where a divine orb would soon materialize. He thrust it forward, aiming at the Gorgon. Upon impact it would explode.​

"I'm pretty sure de door lady would have... you know... hands. For de door," Whampire adds. "I mean, if she used dose snakes as hands instead, there wouldn't be much of a door to be a lady for. Also you might want to be careful. She bites, a lot."

Giving Whampire little more than a sidelong glance while her focus was put into giving the gorgon head a safe landing, Zoe pouted her lips. "Yeah, well, maybe she's only all bitey because she's angry!" Zoe shot back, "Wouldn't you be angry if you didn't have a body too? And on top of all that, some kid barges in and hits you in the back of the head while you're sleeping!" she scoffed, "She just wants her beauty sleep," Zoe proposed, summoning and lobbing a sleepy trouble bubble upwards at the gorgon head which would lull the disturbed thing into a sound sleep.

"Last time my head got seperated from my body... uh... dat's a long story. De last last time involved extracting one of my my previously lost aliens from my innards so dat he can revive a planet and its people while my archenemy- also long story."

Whampire looks at Zoe for a bit and nods.

"Alright, let's see how you do di-"

As soon as Siegward's attack struck the Gorgon head, Whampire stared in a mix of shock and awe as he turns to Zoe, maintaining that expression, mouth gaping and fangs baring.

"Yeah, she's definitely back to sleep now."

"The young are so quick to move ahead." Lindel sighed as Yuki went in front of the group and bumped into a medusa looking demon. While the others dealt with it, he went and stood near Yuki and Miki, although Guts stood in front of them and kept them safe, the mage kept a hand on the hilt of his sowrd as a precaution.

"Now, I thnk it's best if you don't run ahead so quickly. Don't want to...erm, get seperated from the group and all...or bump into anymore trouble." he said towards the pink haired girl, nearly forgetting her strange way of seeing these situations. It went over the elder's head how that happened exactly, but he didn't need to try to explain the situation to her if it wasn't going to help.

"Stay close to Ms. Sumia or one of us other group members if you have to, alright?" he gave the pink haired girl a pat on the head. He almost felt bad for Miki. Almost.

"You want me ugly? Come get me!"

Whampire flew towards the gorgon head. When he was close, he slid underneath it to evade her maws, before he unleashed a powerful full-radius explosion of energy.

"HAAAAA!"

The burst of energy was enough to create a crater underneath Whampire, send the gorgon head straight for the ceiling at rocket-like speeds and generate a wave of wind that could be felt by everyone in the room!

Thankfully no one else was too close to Whampire during that time, or else they'd feel more than a great gust of wind.​

Looking up at the gorgon head hissing down at the group from above, Zoe tilted her head. "Oh, are you the door lady?" she wondered aloud, before waving at the head in greeting, "Hi door lady! We're not looking for trouble, we just wanna give your boss a little message! Could you take us to him? Pleaaaaase? I'll give you some chocolate mooncake - it's the best!" Zoe innocently requested, before ducking into a portal to dodge the gorgon head as it swooped down, only for it to be blasted sky-high, much to Zoe's dismay. The girl yelped as she watched the head fly upwards, and quickly ran underneath in order to catch it on its way down...if it ever did fall down.​

"Monster? It's just a bird though! Look at how high it's flying!" Yuki exclaimed, pointing to the Gorgon head in the air.

Whampire's energy burst managed to knock the Gorgon head back significantly, its form continually assaulted as Siegward followed up with his divine orb, causing her to shriek in pain and anger. Fortunately for Zoe (and probably the rest of the group), her sleepy bubble managed to reach the monster just after Siegward's attack, still managing to lull it quickly into an involuntary sleep, dropping to the ground with a loud THUD as it ceased to resist, and with that, it was dealt with.

With a sigh, Constantine patted his hands together. "Right... Is it over now? Good show, lads," he said with a nod, but before long, just as the Gorgon went unconscious in front of everyone, low groaning could be heard from behind.

"... Oh, bugger it. What is it--?!"

From the tile ground behind the group, a grand number of ghouls and zombies rose, moaning lowly as their rotting forms became known to them, bloodied and ridden with maggots. At first, it was just four of them. Then eight. Then sixteen. Then thirty-two. Then sixty-four. And from there, the numbers just kept increasing as their numbers completely filled up the hall. Constantine's eyes widened in alarm, as it seemed there went their chance for a nice, quiet, and relaxed stroll through the evil gothic castle.

"... Yeah. We should probably... get going now," he uttered. It wasn't that he exactly doubted the group's ability to take on all of the demons before them, but it would no doubt be too time-consuming to stop and fight them off, and more than that, he could only guess that this was either Dracula's or Faust's intention to wear them down before they could get too far.

Stepping toward the back of the group to face the enemies, Guts popped his neck briefly. "Go. I'll keep them busy for a minute."

The blonde man raised an eyebrow toward the swordsman, beginning to back off. "... Fine. But you are catching up with us, alright, mate?"

Guts let out a nasty -- sadistic, even -- grin, uncharacteristic to how he'd been during the whole rest of the journey.

"Count on it," he simply said.

"Bloody great. Now then, everyone. Let's get a move on!" Constantine exclaimed, gesturing for everyone to follow as he broke into a run forward, their path eventually leading them up a stairway as they continued their travels.

"I'll take two for the road!" Whampire spat his Corrupturas at two of the undead.

"... darn it, dey're too slow, we're supposed to be running. Yeah, you two just help Guts to kill your fellow zombies."

For good measure, he spat a few more Corrupturas at a few more zombies.

And so he ran. During this run, he had transformed back to good old Ben.

"Well, at least I can't accuse these guys of not inventing the elevator. Seriously, what's with bad guys and their obsession with all these flights of stairs?"

Audibly cringing as Siegward's magic bolt struck true, Zoe appeared relieved of her previous distress somewhat. "Whew...okay, disaster averted," she breathed a sigh of relief as her trouble bubble collided with the gorgon head last, and hastily stepped out from underneath it, but still flinched at the sound it made cratering into the hard floor. "Aww...it's okay door lady, we'll leave you alone now," Zoe spoke softly as she bent down to reach out towards the slumbering head, but appeared to forcibly hesitate before her hand got too close. Standing up straight again, the girl frowned and rubbed her wrists; distraught flashes in her otherwise bright and plucky eyes, "Maybe your stardust will turn into something beautiful one day! Something beautiful-er, I mean! Or not..." she ended on a second-guessing note with a huff.

Turning to view the oncoming horde of shambling undead, Zoe brightened up significantly as Guts broke ahead of the pack to face the threat alone. Projecting her voice with her hands (as if it were difficult) Zoe hollered and cheered. "Woo! You show those ickies not to mess with a force of nature!" Turning to scurry up the stairs alongside Constantine, she still hollered back, "We're going with Constantine now! Don't get lost trying to find us again!" she finished, giving Guts the double thumbs-up while she bounced up the flight of stairs.

Grace wasn't keen on leaving one of their own behind, but Guts seemed more than capable to take care of himself and so she followed Constantine to who knows where.

As she did so Morte floated up next to her. "Probably didn't have this in mind when you woke this mornin, huh?"

Even in this situation Grace had to chuckle slightly at Morte. "No Morte, I suppose I didn't." She the directed a question towards Constantine. "While this running is all well and good, do we actually have a strategy to reach our goal?"

As the group made their way up the staircase, they'd be met by two familiar faces about mid-way toward their destination.

"About time you lot showed up. I was beginning to grow bored." Ciel stated to the group, his expression flat as ever as Sebastian stood next to him with his normal smile.

"I do hope we didn't cause too much worry. The young master and I simply decided to.... stick to the shadows for a bit, as it were." Sebastian replied, causing Ciel to eye roll yet again before continuing on up the stairs, with Sebastian following suit, the two not seeming to provide any further explanation regarding their abrupt disappearances aside from that.

The entrance hall soon disappeared into the darkness down below and the walls spread out, their location spanning from a long corridor to an endless chasm-like place.

"Everything should be fine so long as we just keep moving consistently! What could go wro--?!"

He suddenly stopped cold in his tracks, as everyone would be able to observe from there that the stairs suddenly stopped abruptly, the end of them leading to nothing but a seemingly bottomless pit, essentially a dead end. Looking down with a furrowed brow, the blonde man pursed his lips.

"... Balls. So that's what could go wrong."

"W-What do we do now? We can't just go back down!" Miki exclaimed.

"Let's see how this creepy castle likes my magnetic personality," Ben grins as he smacks his watch down. His body was morphed, altered into metal, metal that soon took on a proper, solid shape.

"Lodestar!"

Lodestar, as it was called, grabbed Miki & Yuki by his arms, then released an odd pulse that caused all who were wearing metallic armour of sorts or primarily metallic clothing, such as Libra, Siegward and Lucatiel, to hover upwards. Astolfo was excluded, however.

"If we can't walk or jump, we fly. Upsy daisy~"

Lodestar himself begins to levitate off the ground.

Libra would extend his hands to whoever wouldn't have metal on their person. "Hold on tight! Naga, I hope this works..."

As Guts single-handedly held off the endless horde of zombies and ghouls by himself, letting the group make their way up the stairs, which eventually began taking a few twists until it began to take after the form of a spiral. Upon bumping into Ciel and Sebastian, the blonde gave a wave. "Who the hell's worried? We were doin' just fine with...!"

He glanced at Ben and Zoe, then back at Ciel and Sebastian, and sighed. "Sod it all. Come on!"

As they continued to make their way up, Constantine looked back and shrugged toward Grace when she spoke. "Yeah, sure, I've got a plan. Keep goin' up the stairs!" He exclaimed, continuing to move with the group tirelessly. The entrance hall soon disappeared into the darkness down below and the walls spread out, their location spanning from a long corridor to an endless chasm-like place.

"Everything should be fine so long as we just keep moving consistently! What could go wro--?!"

He suddenly stopped cold in his tracks, as everyone would be able to observe from there that the stairs suddenly stopped abruptly, the end of them leading to nothing but a seemingly bottomless pit, essentially a dead end. Looking down with a furrowed brow, the blonde man pursed his lips.

"... Balls. So that's what could go wrong."

"W-What do we do now? We can't just go back down!" Miki exclaimed.

"Let's see how this creepy castle likes my magnetic personality," Ben grins as he smacks his watch down. His body was morphed, altered into metal, metal that soon took on a proper, solid shape.

"Lodestar!"

Lodestar, as it was called, grabbed Miki & Yuki by his arms, then released an odd pulse that caused all who were wearing metallic armour of sorts or primarily metallic clothing, such as Libra, Siegward and Lucatiel, to hover upwards. Astolfo was excluded, however.

"If we can't walk or jump, we fly. Upsy daisy~"

Lodestar himself begins to levitate off the ground.

Peeking her head over the edge, Zoe curiously peered deep into the supposedly bottomless pit. "Woooow- ow-ow-ow!" she protested in pain as the metal bangles her asymmetrical braids were threaded through began to lift her off the ground by her hair - an issue she quickly rectified using a pinch of her reality bending sorcery. Frowning still, Zoe rubbed her head, and turned her attention towards the pit again, summoning a ball of light and serving it with her paddle, sending it tumbling into the pit to illuminate it.

Ooooookay. Well that works too. While Sebastian began to float up, he grabbed Ciel by the arms carried him, causing Ciel to groan in annoyance yet again.

"How are you enjoying the flight, Young Master?" Sebastian asked the young Earl, who still appeared to be quite annoyed, with Sebastian having taken it upon himself to hold onto him by wrapping his arms around his chest and holding him close his own chest, as to not possibly drop him by dangling him by his arms.

"Just hurry up and get this over with."

A mechanical whirring sound echoed down from above, drowning out the din of panic and chaos erupting on the spiral staircase. The sudden levitation of some members of the group was likely to cause some eyes to look upward, where they would spot a structure made of wood and mechanical parts descending from above. The structure was just large enough to fit into the gap ahead, so it was not entirely surprising that it fitted neatly into place and completed the staircase.

A lone woman stood on stairs, one of her hands clasping a lever that was built into the floor. When she realized she had dropped in on the action, she sighed and crossed her arms. "'Tis no wonder I suddenly found myself free to waltz about the castle as I saw fit," she said, taking a few steps to descend the stairs and join the group, "if you lot are causing such a cacophony."

The structure settling into place surprised Yuki, who at this point was still feeling pretty proud of herself for making it this far. Her surprise caused her to start slipping from Lodestar's grasp. She flailed in an attempt to hang on but began to plummet to the ground. She cried out more in annoyance and fear, pointing a finger at her friend as she fell.

"Mii-kun, did you forget the harness on this thing?!"

Before anyone could do anything about the matter, the woman who had descended with the staircase pulled a staff from behind her and cast some kind of spell at Yuki. The girl seemed to fall on an invisible soft surface before slowly descending down to the ground safely. "Wow, such amazing technology..." she said with a slight giggle.

The woman shook her head. "Constantine, do you normally keep the company of teenage schoolgirls?"

With the newly formed staircase, Sebastian began to descend with Ciel in tow, dropping the boy to the ground, allowing him to land on his two feet.

"We never speak of this again." Ciel sternly commanded, earning a nod from Sebastian, who proceeded to turn and face their new acquaintance, whom took it upon herself to fix the staircase.

"Greetings. I am Sebastian Michaelis, and this here is my young master, Ciel Phantomhive. You have our utmost gratitude for providing us with the means to cross." Sebastian said with a polite bow, whereas Ciel didn't seem too interested in concerning himself on such formalities, instead opting to continue onwards up the staircase without another word.

"Huh, so we are supposed to go up. Go up we shall."

Lodestar looks upwards, before he feels Yuki flailing in his grasp.

"Easy there Yuki, don't- Yuki no!"

Before Lodestar could take action, someone else arrived to aid. The very same person who summoned the stairs with the pull of a lever.

"Thanks, Miss. And yeah, we are definitely causing a cacophony. Kind of obligatory when you're going vampire hunting... or Dracula stopping... or whatever we're calling this. My name is Ben, Ben Tennyson." Lodestar then turned its levitating head towards Constantine. "Friend of yours, Constantine?"

Afterwards, Lodestar would land himself and everyone he was lifting on the solid floor below them, before letting go of Miki.

W-Well, anyway," Miki began to respond to Yuki, before deciding not to finish her sentence, having a hard time figuring out what to really say anyway, especially with the appearance of a newcomer who looked like she wasn't an enemy at least (though "friend" was still up in the air).

As the woman addressed Constantine, evidently seeming to recognize him, as the blonde man recognized her in return, he let out a lightly exasperated sigh, running a hand through his hair and shaking his head briefly.

"Very funny. I'm havin' a grand ol' giggle. How'd you even get here? In fact, more importantly, what are you even doin' here, Morrigan?" Constantine questioned, using the mysterious woman's name for everyone to hear, "You're an awful long way from home. My home, to be exact. Or did the House of Mystery ultimately turn out not to your liking? Or did you accidentally sling your last victim's balls into the next world and went lookin' for 'em?"

"U-Um, Mr. Constantine?" Miki inquired shyly, "Who... is this person?"

"Oh, of course. Where are my manners..." Constantine sighed, stepping to the side to allow everyone to see Morrigan, "Lads, this is Morrigan. Morrigan, these are the lads. They're all just... Well, let's just say they've all made a wrong turn in Liverpool and want to get back home, and that my objective just happens to align with theirs.

With that, he turned to face the group again, gesturing toward Morrigan as he began to explain how exactly he knew her. "You can say we're... colleagues of sorts, though maybe even that's a bit generous. Lassie's a real maneater, so don't get close. She'll rob you of your manhood, right in front of everybody! The things she'll do... they could keep a man awake and haunt him for a fortnight."

He was very determined to make a good first impression.
