"Dad! Look! I gotta go!" Tommy looked at the entrance of Camp Willow. It was his first time going to a camp and he was excited to go. He wanted to experience what kids go through in camp.

"Tommy, sit down. Just let me park the car." His Dad, Nigel, slowly parked inside the parking lot. "So, you ready kid?" Nigel looked at his son with a gleaming grin. Tommy grabbed his bag and checked himself over. "As ready as I'll ever be, Dad" Tommy countered with an innocent smile.

"Well then, get out and show them what you've got!" Nigel encouraged his son. "Thanks Dad!" Tommy gave his Dad one last hug.

Tommy stood at the parking lot, watching his Dad's car drive away into oblivion. Tommy turned around and faced the middle of the camp. He saw teens talking and sitting on the logs. His mind made up, he walked towards the crowd.

He looked around and noticed that everyone was either talking or doing something with their phones. Armed with the determination and the will to make friends, he quickly sat beside a girl that was fiddling her phone. "Hello there!" Tommy greeted the girl with a smile.

Taila's eyes widened with surprise as she had not noticed the boy take a seat next to her. "W-who me?" She stuttered, smiling shyly. She then locked her phone and placed it on her lap. "Hello there, I'm Taila. It's nice to meet you, yeah." Taila moved a stray lock of her long, ebony hair away from her face as she awkwardly outstretched her other hand toward him. Initially meeting people was never her strong suit, but this boys seemingly merry disposition would help her break out of her shell a bit, she hoped at least.

Elias looked around at everyone talking. His music was drowning out the chatter but it seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves.
It was nice...he thought to himself but right now he didn't much seem to care to join the merriment and instead took up a stick and started drawing shapes into the ground.

Kadin glanced up from his phone spotting Klaus who was waving from the other side of the logs. Reaching over and grabbing his cane he heaved himself off of the floor and glanced down at Nancy. “I am going to quickly grab Klaus and bring him over” he explained with a smile. He quickly made his way over to Klaus spotting in front of him and giving a grin. “Are you KlausEV?” Kadin asked bits of uncertainty creeping into his voice.

Klaus would grin and nod energically, standing up in front of the other kid and it was only then when they'd notice how tall he really was.
"Yeah Klaus here, the Ev is from my nickname, Evergreen" he'd tell the other, shaking his hand energically.
"Lets go over to the lady who i'm guessing is naancybear?" He'd say, starting to walk towards the other gal.

Kadin gave a nod having to strain his head as he looked up at Klaus. It didn’t help that he was already hunched over which normally made looking up difficult, yet Klaus’s overall height just added to it. As they reached Nancy he gestured to klaus with his free hand, “Nancy this is klaus” then gesturing to Nancy, “Klaus this is Nancy” he introduced.

"Hi!" Nancy said, shaking his hand. "Nice to finally put a face to your name." Standing up, she dusted off the back of her shorts, noticing how tall he was compared to her.

Tommy gladly shook Taila's hand. "Hey Taila, The name's Tommy. Nice to meet you too!" He dropped his heavy bag to the ground, easing his burden. "You know anybody from camp?" He asked Taila as he scans around the campfire for any familiar faces.

"Erm," Taila slowly shook her head, giggling a bit, "No, not really. You're the first person I've had the pleasure of meeting actually." She smiled widely, revealing her straight teeth which happened to be the product of a couple years worth of braces that she had recently got taken off. "It seems like it will be a good time though once we all get settled!" Taila began to look around the circle, feeling a bit more confident now that she had broken the ice with at least one person. She leaned forward a bit and placed her phone into the back pocket of her khaki colored Bermuda shorts and crossed her long (at times awkwardly so) legs.

"Yeah" Tommy agreed. "I bet we're gonna have a grand time!" He waved his arms in an wide arc, emphasizing his words with his actions. He dropped his arms and laid on the log.

While observing the other would-be-campers, he suddenly thought, 'I'm Bored, What should I do now?'. He looked at Taila and asked "What do you think we should do now?" He scanned the other campers, trying to find any skeptical figures.

"Do you think we should wait?" He suddenly faced Talia with a questioning look, his hair bun bouncing slightly from the force of the turn.

"Same here Nancy, still a cute name" Klaus'd say, winking at her.
"And now... well, when everyone is here we'll start the presentation games. They can be a bit silly and lame but don't mind that." Just as he finished saying a young man with surprisingly pale features, Abel, started calling the kids to the middle of the campsite.

Taila giggled at how energetic and excited Tommy was, he was just so full of life. She shifted her gaze to Abel calling them all and after a good stretch, stood up. "I believe we're supposed to go over there now Tommy." She smiled down at him and after picking up her bag, began to make her way to the middle of the campsite.

Kadin glanced towards the speaker who was calling the group and glancing back over at Klaus and Nancy he asked, “You two wanna walk over together?” He asked them hopefully not wanting to part his new friends quite yet. He was actually pretty glad he had managed to make friends so fast consider how much of a social mess he was, though he credited to the fact they had become friends on the chat before meeting.

"Defiantly." Nancy said, leaning over and grabbing her duffle bag. Slinging it over her shoulder, she raised her eye brows, feeling her stomach growl. "I can honestly say that i'm more excited about the food than unpacking right now."

Kadin laughed at that remark and he too bent down and grabbed his bag, slipping into the straps before Giving Nancy a cheerful grin. His backpack was one of those cool ones that were shaped like cartoon characters or animals, and it was a dark green with a scaley pattern, and little orange spikes attached. It also had a small tail at the bottom that swung when he moved.

Klaus' backback was already in his cabin, which was always the same one year after year.
"Lets go~" he'd agree in a singsong tone as they walked over to the middle where everyone was gathering. There the albino counselor and a woman were talking.

A woman of colour would walk towards the group next, looking quite cheerful and full of energy for her age. She looked a bit old.
"EY everyone, I'm Nula, your Camp Director". When she started speaking, the dog that had been lieing under a tree's shadow somewhat far away started trotting towards the group of teens.
"I welcome you all to camp Willow, and we're going to start the presentation games. I want y'all to tell us your name and something interesting about yourselves. Yes?. Come on!" She clapped, laughing, her voice was loud but friendly.
One of the camp counsellors stepped forwards.
"Mah name is Alvaro, and before working here ah used to be an actor, for commercials." Nancy and Kadin would hear Klaus chuckle besides them. A girl went next, saying her name was Candela and her favourite animal were horses. It was a cute sight, and Kadin felt Klaus poking his shoulder. "If you go now i'll go next." He'd whisper.

Tommy quickly got up, dusted off the dirt on his shorts, and grabbed his backpack. He looked at where Talia was going and he followed her towards the middle of the campsite. When he arrived, he noticed that the people were introducing themselves one by one.

Tommy was really interested in this introduction stuff so he dropped his bag on the ground, because it was getting heavy, paid attention to what each person was saying.

Kadin smirked at klaus and whispered back, “Fine but you have to say something embarrassing”. He then turned towards the crowd before putting on a cheery grin “My name is Kadin, and my family owns two dogs” he declared before turning towards Klaus expectantly, a sly grin on his face.

Hiren was having none of this. He had been forced to witness the endless parade of other campers being dropped off by seemingly loving parents who fussed over them and sent them off with tiny gestures of affection. Did any of those kids seriously look forward to being stuck here for the foreseeable future? Maybe their loving parents had instilled in them a peculiar love for this kind of stupidity, but Hiren had not been so lucky. His parents could not even be bothered to escort him as they exiled him to another country in the vain hope he would turn into a child they actually liked.

Sucks, didn't it?

He'd arrived on a nondescript bus with a few other kids who didn't get kisses goodbye, so he figured he wasn't the only one sent off without parental love and affection. Still, considering the mood of the kids around him, he was wondering if he was the only one who cared about how stupid this was all going to be. Did his parents really think that stuffing him into a confined space with more kids he wanted to punch was going to somehow fix him? Come on, mum and dad.

Take, for instance, these presentation games. It was the usual thing you saw on the first day of school (at least until high school, Hiren supposed) where everyone clapped along, gave their name, and was expected to smile while doing so. Hiren had no plans to smile. When the circle got around to him, he tried his absolute hardest to look so bored and said, "I'm Hiren, and there's really nothing interesting about me. Sorry."

Taila gulped nervously, feeling a lump begin to form in her throat as people began introducing themselves. She kicked at a little dirt and looked down at her black Converse sneakers. Maybe if I don't speak up nobody will notice me. Taila thought to herself, flashing the ever excited Tommy a soft smile. She listened intently though, to everyone's introductions, it was nice to know a little something about everyone.
