The Pherithians eventually discarded their paranoia, heading straight for the cave while keeping their alerts high. They believed they had guns, so they thought any worries were silly and nothing could bother them. They opted for a short break and ate some snacks.

The wild life goes entirely silent as rain startlingly begins to crash into the earth from the heavens. Water decorates the air in substantial amounts, continuously falling and soon gathering onto the ground. It develops into mild flooding. The water trickles down outside the cave, creating small streams that dart downhill underneath and alongside the flora. Fortunately, the entrance of the cave is positioned so that water falls outside of it instead of flooding the cave itself.

After an initial rise in the cave's floor, the path further into the cave begins to go down. The decline is not steep enough to be difficult to climb, but just enough to put you on your toes. As it goes deeper, the walls of the cave seem to expand outward, creating a larger area. It is too dark to see if it ends there, yet examination of such a formation would bring to your attention an unusual, seemingly metal shine barely able to be made out in the center of the darkness. As the crew's eyes adjust to the dim lighting, it would become evident that this "metal shine" is a man made object. Further examination may be warranted to make it out, though.

"Hmm, sounds like a wonderful plan. But are you sure that your forces could handle the numerous Nepoyzeans and step on the beachhead? What if your plan failed? " the Cakemaster asked, then continued, "I think we need Hopenese help. Make the Hopenese attack the Nepoyzeans first, that way the Nepoyzeans would be hooked up to the Hopenese. That way, we can then take as many of the Nepoyzean lands as possible with ease."

"It is well possible indeed since the armies of Ehelion are stepping unto enemy territory. If that is such the case, I can expect the King to use the Scorch-Earth doctrine if the initial invasion fail. But do not underestimate the might of Ehelion, for we do not underestimate our enemies either." The Vice-minister said. "Well eitherway, it seems letting the Hopenese take care of the work is better. Their mindset are child-ish, so I even wouldn't now if they're convinced.

"Ah, yes, it's true. One of the most important steps we should take, is to lure the Nepoyzeans to a total war with the Hopenese. But they have some battlemages as well. So before the official invasion, we should sneak some agents in and take these wizards of theirs out."

"Oh?" The Vice-minister seemed to be interested. "Interesting, it's a better step."
"Oh crap, not this kind of shite." The Prime Minister lost his mood to listen, he moved away from the conversation with three other guards.
"Oh, don't mind the Prime Minister. Anyway, throwing the Nepoyzeans' attention to the Hopenese is a sound plan. Care to explain more? Like, how to convince the enemy that the Hopenese did the dirty work, how to attract their attention, and where would the plan be initialized?" The Vice-minister asked the Pherithian King.

=====================
Meanwhile, Ehelion military activity is bustling in the south of Karastus. More and more ships are heading in and out between islands.

Within the Karastus Palace, now mixed with Ehelion decor and banners. King Edgar Pheonixus have been watchful of the wall between them and the Hopenese, currently waiting for the Vice-minister Ezekiels advices and plans. An Ehelion soldier armored in black comes to talk to him.
"Milord, the Viceroy of Griffegus reports that there are no signs of the rebellion. However, it has been reported that a suspicious frigate left the Summer Islands and territory of Ehelion. They are sailing north towards the mainland."
"Hmm. Take a rest soldier before you tell the Viceroy. Tell him 'Gather the Griffegus' Silent Covenant branch, tail the suspicious frigate on the mainland.'"
"Yes milord. Oh, milord, the direction it headed for... is the land of Pherith."

==================
Docking in one of the southeastern bustling city in Pherith. A frigate-sized ship unloads some people and horses. One of them was a woman.
"Wainston, keep the Galiesars hidden." She said to one of his men.
"Yes Lady Griselle. We'll await your return from Nepoyze."

The party of seven people mounted in horses left the docks and into the city.

To the far south, an ancient power stirs.
The Men of the South stop their petty infighting and begun to look outward....
Their Khaos Gods now turn their Ruinous Gaze towards the northern lands...
Surely the northern lands must be much richer...
This world is ripe for conquest...
This world is ripe for blood...
This world is ripe for KHAOS
mon_256.png

KHAOS COMES
The Gods do not care where their influence spreads... as long as it spreads....

@geniusinmath

Cookiemaster feels very nervous.
He had no idea how to deal with the Hopenese visitors, right?

The Hopenese were beginning to lose their patience... it wouldn't be so soon until they straight up invade and conquer the isle of cookie they so desired for...

After waiting for a moment, the Hopenese decided to send squads of warriors along with some demons to pay a visit to the Cookiemaster.

Cookiemaster goes alone after his minions betrayed him.

Like the Hopenese, the Cookie Minions got confused and also bored staring at the beachhead facing the giant Hopenese armada.

"Nani?"
"The Cookiemaster, he's such a coward and a fool! Show yourself up, little Cookie monster, or see your land getting swallowed by the Devil Empress, your minions getting enslaved and tamed as great pets, and your families getting messed with!"

"Now, our new worshippers, search your petty island for your stupid coward Cookiemaster!"

If the Cookiemaster still won't show up after three days (in-character or out-of-character), then the Cookie Isles would witness a great massacre, a massive rape and many cookie minions would end up getting enslaved or even eaten alive as punishment for being so useless.

The explorers felt refreshed walking into the larger area. New possibilities and risks were now coming. Their hearts beat more quickly and their eyes moving around despite the darkness, as they began to wonder, would there lay any relics and even forbidden powers?

It is too dark to see if it ends there, yet examination of such a formation would bring to your attention an unusual, seemingly metal shine barely able to be made out in the center of the darkness. "Oh crap, not this kind of shite." The Prime Minister lost his mood to listen, he moved away from the conversation with three other guards.

"......" Deroc looked at Saidan for a few seconds, feeling a bit butthurt deep within, before shifting his attention back to the talking.

"Hmm... well, I have a dedicated team of shady elves, they're experts not only in things like assassination and infiltration, but they wield the powers of the deep darkness. There were sightings of Hopenese demons in Eiramond weeks ago, and a mysterious plague broke out on our northern frontiers. The plague which was actually done by a few traitors within the shady elves. This gave us good reasons to place our fingers on Hopen, once we've done trolling the Nepoyzeans. Thus instigating the fight."

"Maybe the Nepoyzean borderlands far in the distant northern lands with Hopen could work too. We would just troll both sides, sabotaging their settlements and murdering a lot of their minions in the shadows. They would've inevitably put the blame on each other, and eventually a war is bound to happen."

The party of seven people mounted in horses left the docks and into the city.
They ventured deeper into the city of Houtwacht, passing through markets and housings. Though they were not as well-refined and fancy as an Egilian city, still the city was quite prosperous and could do well.

What would they do in Houtwacht?

@bear_369 and @Devin

Both Laihelians and Pherithians discussed the situation about the Eirian's raid party against both faction. Laihelian's action will be exiling the Eirians from their territory and gave them an idea about the same way as they did in order to prevent higher casualties among the soldiers in the future. Additionally, Laihelians warned the Eirians that further barbaric orders will result in continuation progress of occupying their territories aggressively.

The Pherithian authorities did consider the Laihelian approach, but after much discussion within their own circles, they had another idea. They sent most Eirians into the southern Arygosian lands through portals where Pherith proper is at, once the lucky Eirians arrived the Pherithians would close the portals. The lucky Eirians would then be scattered all across the lands of Pherith. They don't have to stay in camps nor serve in the Pherithian army, but they would be stalked by perverts placed under close supervision.

While the newly taken Eirian lands in Pherith would then be settled with Pherithians of various races such as humans, orcs, elves and living cakes. The Pherithians would look very carefully for any dissidents within Pherithian Eiramond.

Meanwhile, unknown to Laihelia and even many other fellow Pherithians, the Cakemaster and his cronies were getting anxious regarding the recent Laihelian advances. They were also worried about any sudden surprises from Nullmagic too.

Coastal settlements will be plundered and razed. The weak captives will be slaughtered and the strong ones will be transported back to the wastelands as slaves.

After a brief discussion amongst the explorers, they've decided to carefully sneak their way towards this shiny artifact...
What would await these unwary explorers?

After some time allowing their eyes to adapt to the dim lighting, the shiny artifact became barely visible. It was a large, metallic pod sticking out of the stone wall of the cave. Its design was intricate yet endurant. It had circular and loop shapes embossed into it and was shaped like a smooth tear, the end coming into a tip. It appeared to be segmented into fifths, each starting at the base and stretching out to the tip, all in equal surface area. The design reminded a few of the scholars of a closed flower bud or perhaps a seed waiting to sprout. The craftsmanship made it obvious that this was an old structure. Something you would undoubtfully find in a local museum. In front of it lay a steel alter bolted into the ground, with a large rune implanted stone resting center and front. To the left side, a small trunk, roughly the width of the average man's forearm and possessing half the height of such. It was similarly made of metal, but with no lock. Just a big, tight latch keeping it shut. On the other side, a short bow and some arrows lay resting. Though it would seem the bow was well crafted and made to last, unfortantely, all things must inevitably seize. The string was snapped and frayed and the wood was warped and cracked. The quiver of arrows were in similar condition. Some of them did not even have heads anymore.

Hey, your land is in the south pole, Eiramond is in the north pole... try again. You're thinking in east and west hemispheres...

If you wanna bevigin, you should start by hitting Ehelion Monarchy lands...

"Oh, hey, we gotta look at this."
The curious visitors would then rush to witness the metallic pod. But a few of them felt something wrong with this artifact. Some magical users noticed a strange presence within.

"Hmm..."
"Anything wrong?"

"It looks like a closed flower, or something like a seed waiting to grow outside... Hmm..."
"Hey, look!"

"That trunk seems like a switch. Maybe that shiny pod of a closed silver flower too."
"Be careful for any traps..."

The Pherithians then noticed the bow and arrows...
"This bow seemed to be made with the finest materials, yet it got worn in time... this site must be really old, then. Like more than ten yearhundreds."

"And one of you, go take the bow and the arrows. Only use these old arrows if we ran out of ammo. And try to keep the bow safe and well, we need to bring these relics back as soon as possible,"

After taking the bow and arrows, one of the explorers touched the truck to the left, and another took the metallic pod...

(P.S. just to be sure, would ecthovelons or such similar creatures absorb pieces of knowledge and memory from the soul it torn and ate?)

Hmm, but your way to the north is completely blocked off by other powers, one of them is Hopen, a great power with massive navies of hellish warships, giant legions of crazed warriors, teams of shady ninjas and hordes of big demons...

Not to mention that circumnavigating a long distance just to get to the cold north of desolate frostlands was a waste and not worth the effort... when you had other great lands like Articia, Lanceline and Ehelion to conquer...

Or tell me, are you afraid of Ehelion? Are you a coward? :>

IC
Well, let's begin by me taking control over Articia.

A few unwary ships of adventurers and fishermen unwittingly sailed their way into the lands of Khaos...

@Deroc Hopen is to the right.. Eiramond is ripe for target. Or are u a coward for rejecting my attack on Eiramond?

Upon seeing the snowy lands, the fog darkens. The water is blighted and hues a dark green color.
Immediately, some Tribes are immediately informed of the trespassers and a warband of 150 marauders, 30 Marauders with dual wields, a pack of 15 Warhounds and 2 Khaos Trolls hungry for Northmen flesh.
They would stalk the fishing ships and once they make landfall, will ambush them.

@LORDKHAOS, Hopen also has lands and sea routes to the left... They've basically took over a large swath of the sea, blocking access to Eiramond... No way you have to fight with other big players if you are so much wanting to conquer Eiramond.

Is this for Articia or Eiramond?

Also, @Devin is getting busy with school and he probably has not much idle time to reply to you anyways... the school session have begun once again in Iran. So, admit it, you can't really fight Eiramond...
And @Cookies McSalsa was nowhere to be found now...

Some most likely targets for ya :
  1. Ehelion (@Edge45)
  2. Lanceline (@Edge45)
  3. Laihelia (@bear_369)
  4. Articia (limited control by @Deroc, right that's me myself)
  5. Hopen (@Deroc)

Artica I guess, it was the fishermen @Deroc
Great!

As the unsuspecting sailors drifted towards the southeast.

Upon seeing the snowy lands, the fog darkens. The water is blighted and hues a dark green color.
Artician Sailor #1 : "Huh?!"
Artician Sailor #2 : "What the fuck is wrong with the sky?"
Artician Sailor #3 : "Even for the strongest of us snowfolk, this... is simply..."
Artician Sailor #4 : "Hey, look! The water is fucked up badly too!"

Articians freaked out in panic, they didn't know where were they heading towards.

Immediately, some Tribes are immediately informed of the trespassers and a warband of 150 marauders, 30 Marauders with dual wields, a pack of 15 Warhounds and 2 Khaos Trolls hungry for Northmen flesh.

(Note! Actually! You don't need two "immediately" in one sentence! Unless the Land of Khaos is named Antigua! And being infamous as the Land of Fairies Wizards and Heroes!)

Most of the ships were still unaware of the stalking barbarians, they just continued to sail their way towards the further south, but some were turning back to the north. A few other ships were heading for the west.

But still, a few of the sailors have noticed the stalkers, but they didn't dare to expose themselves because they're afraid of the Khaotic stalkers. But two such sailors of a ship burst out of the ship interiors in fear, pointing their fingers on the stalkers while screaming out aloud out of fear! Attracting other nearby sailors and the stalkers. The entire southern fleet was alerted, with all of the sailors screaming and crying in fear, many of them even got their panties wet. The southern fleet ships began to scatter and sail like Chaos, not Khaos...

@Deroc

Longships start to come out with great speed from hidden places around the coast and attempts to board some ships. The Marauders on the ships cried out Norzcan war cries and taunts at the escaping enemies.

A trebuchet owned by the Marauders lobbed several rocks at the escaping ships in order to deal some damage.

*Artician sailors tried their best fending off any attempts to board their ships, despite being panicked*
*though a few ships got boarded by the Khaos minions*

Artician Cry ??? : "We're just unarmed fishermen!"
Artician Cry ??? : "Hey, hey, we're just adventurers and explorers! Please!"
Artician Cry ??? : "Nooooooooooo! I don't want to be human sacrifice!"

*Artician ships then tried their best fleeing away from the Khaos Forces*

"Oh, look! Raining meteors!"
"Whaa, whaa?"
"???"
"?!?!?!"

*half of the fleets still try to flee away*
*but the other half of sailors were too freaked out and shocked, after seeing the polluted water, the dense fog and the raining meteors (trebuchet), they thought they were powerful gods and so flew the white flags of surrender*
*the crying sailors knelt before the Khaos Forces while begging for mercy and acceptance*

@Deroc
The marauders pursued the still fleeing ones until they get around 3 miles off the coast.
The surrendered fishermen/explorers and sailors were rounded up. With simple gestures they made them follow them or get eaten by Trolls.
If anyone tries to run, the marauders would not even look as a Troll or a Warhound would pounce on them and have lunch.

Then they were transported to Varg Bay, a huge sprawling stronghold city of Tribe Varg. There they are led to a public square which were surrounded by a wooden wall and manned by hundreds of marauders.
On the square there was a huge heap of corpses, some still fresh with weapons sticking out of them. In the middle of that laid an eight-pointed icon on a long pole.
A Raidmaster proceeded out (the Articans would just recognize him as a different marauder with full body armor and carrying a huge axe.
The Raidmaster look at the Articans and surprisingly spoke in Common tongue.
"Why are you here? Where have you come from? Answer me quickly or you will end up on that Pile of Offerings..!" He boomed while pointing his great axe in the direction of teh mound.

Tales and accounts of their horrifying experience soon began to spread out like wild flames on a forest, reaching every corner of the Artician lands and eventually into other neighboring lands such as Ehelion and Lanceline. It wouldn't be long until the news reach as far as Hopen and Pherith, perhaps even Eiramond far to the north and Laihelia far to the distant west.

Because some of the sailors have a terrible sense of direction, they thought the land of horrors they bumped onto was Ehelion. And so news of Ehelion being a corrupt land with dark dirty plagued waters and legions of horrifying demons began to spread too... how would Ehelion deal about these unintentional lies

"We were looking for fish to catch, but we found only a few fish so we came here hoping to catch more fish..."
