Many years ago, a King and his faithfull Queen gave birth to a beautifull young boy. It was a time for celebration, a moment of great happiness for the family, but alas... Things rarely stay this way forever.
As time went on, the boy began to grow up, full of energy and life, but the same couldn't be said about his mother.
It was only a matter of time before she fell ill, and left this world... His son too young to fully comprehend what had happened.
The King on the other hand, was never the completely same after his Queen left him, but he tried his best to live on with his son, taking care of him as his mother once did.
As the boy began to grow up, his tastes for adventure grew and grew, and soon, the boy wanted to see what lay beyond the King's domain; he wanted to see the ocean.
Not wanting to disappoint his son, the King decided to set sail with him, on a sight-seeing trip.
But in the end... Only one of them ever made it home.
...
A distant storm... A desperate attempt to cling to something... Coldness... Threatening to snatch him down into the sea... Enu could only remember bits and pieces of what happened leading up to this point.
Someone was holding onto his arm, desperately trying to pull him back out of the water, but he couldn't make out their face.
Their grip was already beginning to loosen, no thanks to the wind and rain... From the overhead storm.
It was then that he felt his vision begin to blurr... As his determination to hold on turned into anger... Frustration, but not all of it felt like his own. At what? He wasn't sure, but more and more, the situation was beginning to feel like a memory... A distant, memory.
Blinded by his own feelings of anger, he could only barely register his grip on what he was holding onto loosening... As the waves below him began to pull him under.
Something tore on one of his arms... Before he was surrounded by coldness... A foul smell invading his nostrils... Before suddenly... His vision went dark.
...
When Enu awoke, he was alone. Well, sort of.
Like the others, he was guided by a mysterious voice, but even if he wanted to... He realized he could not talk to it. In fact, he could hardly talk at all.
Carefully following the instruction he was given, opening the chest as he combed through the items.
There was a bow, some strange yellowish arrows... A standard looking sword, and a strange wooden shield. In addition, there was a kite-like item... A glider, and a tablet, which he wouldn't have been able to figure out had it not been for the strange voice in his head.
A sense of deja vu suddenly swept over him as the image of a small... Red Fox, yipping towards him... Guiding him towards the right direction suddenly crossed his mind.
Had he... Done something like this before?
Shaking his head a little, he focused on what the voice in his head was telling him, fumbling with the tablet a little before opening up a map, and poring over the locations available.
It felt a little odd for him to have a choice of where to go, rather than to be guided eventually in one, concrete direction, but in the end... He chose the most familiar path, to the
West, although... Despite what the voice in the head was saying, he had not seen anyone outside the place he had exited, after grabbing the items from the strange treasure chest.
They had already split off in their respective destinations, but Enu didn't know that; for the time being, he thought that aside from the voice that had spoken to him... He was alone, but... Part of him didn't want to accept that, and so... He began his trek west, hoping to find at least someone.
The voice in his head did mention something about someone named "Magda" who he would meet, and sure enough... There was, but there was no sign of any others.
Seeing her expression when he eyed a spot where a flower seemed to be uprooted, he put two and two together and carefully began to step around the flowers... Even managing to give her a small wave before he carried on.
As he began to climb the hill, as the voice in his head had instructed back when he had been looking at the map, he noticed multiple weird... Sticky puddles on the ground, that were already beginning to fade away. Poking at one tentatively, it was some weird... Slimey substance, though the few indentations in the ground, not unlike what arrows would make clued him on in the fact that others may have been here.
Excitedly, he ran the rest of the way up the hill, noticing that there were others there already, in the distance... With what looked like some kind of river beyond, but nonetheless, it was company.
"Heeey!" He called out, projecting his voice as far as he possibly could.
Enu didn't even take time to properly assess his surroundings, but he managed to keep along the path, away from the flowers as he ran towards the group of people that had headed to the west. He was just ecstatic that aside from Magda (and possibly that strange voice that had spoke to him), he wasn't completely alone here...
